So... what about the actual Fighting Road? No one seems to talk about it

It's as bad as the NJPW DLC Fighting Road was, there's nothing to talk about.

Is it out for ps4? I haven’t had a chance to check and no one has mentioned it here? It is. I have the deluxe edition of Fire Pro and got the DLC from the store. At first it displayed a price but it simply changed to just “download” once I went into the DLC on the store. Haven’t tried it yet but know it’s installed as when you go to fighting road option on the main menu it gives you a very clear option choice of which path to open/load/play etc, Heavyweight or junior Heavyweight.

Is J. White and the rest going to be a patch or dlc like Takayama that you have to purchase? Considering the track record, Takayama Charity DLC had to be paid for, as does the Jr. Heavyweight DLC. I dont see why they'd change that formula for Jay White and whomever else is coming along with him. But one can surely hope.

I haven't tried the Junior Heavyweight version of Fighting Road mainly because I got kind of bored with the Heavyweight version. There wasn't enough interesting story developments in between matches for the first few chapters and the matches themselves felt repetitive to me. I kind of wish we had more objectives similar to the "unlock" challenges in the game. Just winning singles matches with high ratings is pretty boring to me, especially 1P. If there's a mode focused on 1P, it has to be interesting enough to get me to play matches differently than I always do when I feel like actually doing 1P. That said, for those new to the series or those who love to play, I could see it being more fun. I would have preferred just setting CPU logic for my wrestler and having them go at the defaults though I don't know how well that would work out with many defaults having logic set to win rather than have entertaining matches.
The best thing that came from Fighting Road is the new ability to export my edit so I can use them in other modes. I plan on setting CPU logic for him and using him in Fire Promoter instead 😁
The Junior DLC is useful to me overall just for the new moves and the parts.

I actually enjoyed it. It's very fun to play. Can't wait for Birth of a Legend.

I've quite enjoyed the Fighting Road stories too. Cheesy and your edit is a bit of a try hard, but it was fun and reminded me a bit of Tiger Mask W. Inoffensive fun. Suda51 might give us more of a "Benoit" vibe.

Ya, biggest thing i'm looking forward to is the new parts and moves. Some of the designs are getting a bit stale. Hopefully there are a number of items in this that have some great uses. I like the look of Dragon Lee's shin pads/tassels. You can't do asymetrical designs yet correct? I think that would be a massive update. But I'd worry it would be like the few asymmetrical items that just change side depending on which way an edit is facing. But hey... who doesn't want a tattoo that swaps sides!! Cheers guys

I asked this in another thread, but no one responded. Just curious if this is a bug, or if this is what was intended:
OK, so I started playing the Jr Heavyweight DLC last night, on PS4. One thing I'm confused about: I have seen zero wrestlers in the cut scenes so far. Like when Liger and Kushida are talking to my character, I still see a picture of an empty ring, and that's it. Is this a bug, or is this actually something the developers intended? Kind of lame, IMHO.

I've the PC Steam version so maybe i can't help you but i've seen wrestlers in the cut scenes in the JR Heavyweight story mode. Liger and Kushida in the first missions then a lot of Young Lions and many more
