So yeah, I'm fairly happy with the array of new moves we got. A lot of them will fill gaps for a lot of people.
The Cross-face Chickenwing is the big one for me, as I may have mentioned once or twice. It's been my favorite hold for literally the entire time I've been a wrestling fan (well, to be fair, when I was 12 I was just scared of it, because I was afraid even Bret Hart couldn't get out of it. I was right). I've wanted it for Backlund in a game forever, and now it can FINALLY BE PROCURED. This is also huge for Asuka, of course. It was Syxx's finish in WCW, and I believe Norman Smiley's as well. Kurt Angle used it as a second finish (pre-anklelock) briefly, as well.
The rope hang DDT is awesome - I can't believe we didn't see it for Okada. I've only checked it out in the preview screen but it seems to hang them from the top rope, not the middle. That's okay by me - it'll still work out great for a number of people. Okada and Orton, of course, but Tommaso Ciampa uses it as one of his main finishes, and so does Gargano occasionally if he's either teaming or feuding with Ciampa, which is always. Jamie Noble used to win with this once in a while, too (the way it's done in-game, at that) and Andrade has used a hammerlock version as his super-death finisher. This has become kind of a go-to "oh shit" move over the years, so I'm super glad to see a version of it.
Speaking of Ciampa, there's a Project Ciampa (powerbomb into a double-knee backbreaker) which is great for him, of course, but it also fills a void of "lift up and drop into a double-knee backbreaker" that hasn't previously been represented any other way, so it'll help sub for those moves in a pinch.
There's a cradle DDT now, that's useful for Konnan and Paige - it's not exactly what they did, it looks like more of a tights hook than a leg hook - but it's beautifully animated and I'm happy to see it.
There's a fisherman twisting neckbreaker - Elias and Nikki Cross both use it in WWE, and Tyson Kidd used to right up until his retirement. Perry Saturn used to do something really similar, too.
I love the frankensteiner-into-triangle-hold; the frankensteiner into the cross-armbar was one of my favorite KOC moves that's never been in Firepro.
A little disappointed by the groin kick; it's literally the Taichi spot with the Gedo Clutch removed. So, kick catch into quick snap-kick to the groin. Not as generic as I'd like, but it'll still work for some people.
Slightly let down by the knuckle arrow rush; I don't know exactly how I was expecting it to look, but I was hoping I could replace a lot of instances of "American Punch Rush" with it and not have to pretend I'm not seeing the jabs in it. It's the same animation as the weak grapple knuckle arrow, just three times. So it probably won't work well for Rock or Austin. Still, it'll look great for a bunch of other people, and you have the option of ending it with either a knockdown or a stun, which the original punch can't do, so it's still a win in the end.
There are also a handful of new corner strikes, and they fill up the corners (no pun intended) in some movesets really well; there's an elbow strike rush, a mid kick rush (new animation, and it's gorgeous - a little like the fierce low kick, but to the body, and times three) and a "thigh kick" - this is a straight pro-wrestling-style leg kick, where you hang their leg over the second rope and stomp/kick their inner knee. These all make me very happy.
Appearance-wise, there's not nearly as much as the previous DLC - all-new parts for Liger, pretty much head to toe, and he does look really great. A few new tights designs, nothing resembling a Bullet Club shirt, even a generic "close but not exact" like all the parts on pre-license Fire Pro. I don't know if they're part of the DLC, or the free update, but we did offically get fringy boots, and as far as I can tell, they're gonna look really good.
Also, Jado's pants have skeleton-like designs on them, so we're all a step closer to having La Parka in Fire Pro.
EDIT: also, I somehow no-sold the fact that we got a Flair Flop. I'm already thinking of creative ways to work that into the logic. It looks amazing, too - you can even see him kind of protect himself with his far hand if you look close, exactly like Ric Flair (and presumably Jado).
