Well, I'm very happy to say that ZIP JAPAN has been Reborn this evening, and everything ran smooth as silk from a technical standpoint. Apologies again for Friday night's shenanigans, and thanks to everyone who came out on a Saturday to catch up with ZIP JAPAN.

ZIP JAPAN Reborn! (Saturday, Nov 3, 2018 at 9pm EST)
Overall it was a fantastic show with plenty of high ratings, great action, and some interesting future matchups coming out of the results. Technical hiccups aside, I'm very glad ZIP JAPAN is back in business, thanks again to fans who have stuck with me throughout. Special thanks also to Senator, who was standing by, ready willing and able to take over streaming the card if my connection issues made an appearance again.
Next show will be Friday November 16, card TBA.

Let's get to the results:
ZIP JAPAN Reborn! (Saturday, Nov 3, 2018 at 9pm EST)
- Eun-jin Choi vs Vicki Violence
An awesome way to open the show, with both ladies showing some real fire and ferocity in the ring. Either one could easily have won this, with both getting several near falls. In the end, Choi was bleeding heavily from a fork attack and fell victim to a Violent Package Piledriver.
6 way elimination Battle Royal
- Justin Starr vs ECKO vs Minoru Hoshino vs Satoshi Iguchi vs Tora Katsu vs Ichiro Katagiri
Fast paced and chaotic action in this one, as expected. What I did not expect was that all 6 men lasted so long in the ring, followed by all 5 eliminations in a pretty brief window of time. ECKO managed to get two eliminations, but once it was down to ECKO and Justin Starr, Starr put him away almost instantly. Starr looked impressive as always in his first match back after his shoulder injury.
- Mr. Suplex vs Demon Otsu
It's a sports cliche that I hate when others use it....but dammit Mr Suplex got robbed here. This match was a bruising affair packed with more disturbing head/neck drops than I care to recount. They traded finishers after about 10 minutes, then settled into a rhythm tossing each other around the ring. At one point Mr Suplex hit like 4 Germans in a row, followed by his signature Raiga-plex, but it was in the ropes. Suplex was dominating with another huge series of throws when Otsu hit a Devil Drop out of nowhere for a surprising 3 count. Early MOTN contender.
- Darkness HAGE vs Yutaro Ichikawa
These two had a tough assignment to follow the last match, but they performed amazingly. There was tons of high flying action. HAGE kicked out of 2 Cannonball Sentons, and Ichikawa kicked out of a couple of Tiger Drivers and a HAGE Firebomb. After a breathless 17 minutes of nonstop action, HAGE finally put Ichikawa away with his FFF Facebuster. HAGE may have lost the ZIP JAPAN Junior Championship, but he's far from finished.
- GORO vs Jin Matsuda
The awesome matches just kept on coming as GORO and Jin Matsuda tore the house down with their bruising encounter. Lots of brawling on the floor, and Matsuda hitting MX knees all over the place. Jin No sold some of GORO's best offense, including a Victimizer and an Olympic Slam, but eventually GORO was able to get the job done with a running DDT.
Non-title match
- Nails n Grinds (Jimmy Nails/Mickey Grinds) vs Rekless Endangerment (Johnny Rekless/Danger Daniels)
Well if he wasn't already the Junior Champion, this would've been the match that put Johnny Rekless on the map. He and Danger Daniels took everything the tag team champs could dish out and gave it all back. Excellent tag work from both teams here, but Johnny is so hot right now he could not be denied victory.
Elimination Triple Threat
- Hanako Yoshii vs Yumi Yamaguchi vs Aya Mizuno
Fantastic joshi match here, all 3 of these women were very impressive tonight. After over 20 minutes of relentless aggression from everyone, Yumi's devastating Angelic Driver claimed another victim, causing a CRIT to Aya Mizuno. Yoshii and Yamaguchi continued to battle for a few minutes before Lady Armbreaker cinched in her signature Flying Armbar to secure the win.
To determine No 1 Contender for the ZIP JAPAN Junior Heavyweight Championship
- Tetsuo K vs Saburo Hamada
On a night with so many excellent matches, this one really stood out and was my pick for MOTN. For parts of this match Hamada seemed like he was on another level, completely no selling Tetsuo's most brutal offense. Hamada stole K's special Axe Kick, and followed it up with his new Stardust Press dive, but Tetsuo shrugged it off and hit a sick diving DDT from the top rope to the arena floor! Tetsuo hit a Sasuke Dive to the outside, a Fire Star Splash and finally notched the win over Hamada with a devastating Boomerang Kick in the center of the ring. Amazing stuff, and Tetsuo K vs Johnny Rekless should be off the charts.
To determine No 1 Contenders for the ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Championship
- Storm of the Century (Wataru Nakajima/Thunder Fist) vs Team Fighting Spirit (Akira Shinjo/Daisuke Shimura)
A solid tag match, with a crowd pleasing result. Storm of the Century looked great tonight, with Nakajima doing his thing and Thunder Fist in particular dishing out an incredible amount of abuse. He landed a KTFO Punch on Shimura, and a Bowel Evacuation on an already bloodied Akira Shinjo. A few minutes and one Turnbuckle Stampede later, and Storm of the Century are your new #1 Contenders!
ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship match
- Psycho Witch vs Momoe Ito (c)
Psycho Witch has been on a real tear lately, and she promised to tear off Momoe Ito's head in this match, but it was not to be. Momoe is riding an incredible wave of momentum as well, and it catapulted her to victory and her first Joshi Title Defense tonight. A superwoman moonsault to the outside followed by a Momoe Latch in the ring secured the 1, 2, 3.
ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship match
- Maki Yoshida vs Donnie Doogan (c) w/Dougie Doogan
A rough night for Blue Destiny, as Matsuda and Yoshida both came up short...Matsuda failing for the third time in his quest for the ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship. He gave it a valiant effort, and the match was much better than the rating indicates, but there was no doubt as to the outcome. Yoshida felt the power of the Doogan Hammer II and had no answer for it, just like pretty much everyone who feels it. Dougie Doogan was at ringside but didn't get involved in the match at all. Donnie's reign of terror continues.
