AC Evans: "They say that when Angel's fall from Heaven they become devils. This tournament is full of pretenders and sinners; fallen angels. I will use this tournament as an ascension to my throne. This is my God given right to win this tournament. I was blessed by his Devine mercy and given talents that surpass a mere mortal. Tonight will be the first of many godly performances from *Gods Last Gift!!!* and you will never forget when Heaven graced your mortal ring"

Blake Dynamite "Tonight's a chance at redemption, a bit. When I found myself taking part in this, I never imagined I'd wind up in a rematch with Silver Hawk straight out of the gate... but everyone that's seen us go knows what it's like, everyone knows why I'm so eager to get another crack at him. He's one of the best there is, he's the guy that finally knocked me off the top spot, and while I'm never gonna take another shot at the title I lost to him... I want to get that one last shot at Silver Hawk, right here. So I'm going to bring everything I've got. And a new audience is gonna see just what the two of us are capable of, and why we took Phoenix Rising by storm. ZIP Japan, get ready for a night to remember."

I know this is before your results posting and whatnot, but I can't contain my excitement after watching Rousseau tonight despite being at a hockey game.
For the first time in 8 years, I think I have finally perfected him as an edit. An underdog who fights a soft European style to begin matches and then goes crazy with the aerial stuff near the end. A splash of comedy as well because it's Rousseau.
All the credit in the world to Raven's edit in Aydin Pilot as well as this seemed to be like the dream match nobody knew they wanted. It's been a good while since a sim made me smile like that.
Hope to bring more to the table after my vacation in a week in a half or so.

Time is at a premium for me this weekend, so just a quickie writeup of results: ZIP JAPAN Super Z Cup 2018 Night One: - Windex Rider vs Poison Oriental - Lil' Lariato vs Adam Moxley - Hijo de Peregrine II vs AC Evans - Aydin Pilot vs Parachute Rousseau MOTN no question. This was fantastic. To determine No 1 contender for the ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Championship - Blue Destiny (Jin Matsuda/Maki Yoshida) vs Pure HEEL (Kenji Sawada/Kenzo Kobayashi) Blue Destiny getting it done against Pure HEEL in an excellent encounter. Blue Destiny will face Nails n Grinds for the ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Titles on Night Two! - Jimmy Hawkins vs Crusade Lots of great highflying in this one. - Blake Dynamite vs Silver Hawk Another fun chapter in the saga that is Blake vs Hawk. - ZIP Man vs Jay Haze lol, ZIP Man is a lot of fun...and he seems perfectly suited to doing well in ZIP JAPAN. - Denji Sonoda vs El Gran Gato Guapo The only real mismatch of the first round, and one I expected the most from. I guess Sonoda had an off night, or simply couldn't handle the aura of sex appeal surrounding Gato Guapo. ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship match - Psycho Witch vs Momoe Ito The fairy-tale run of Momoe Ito has ended and the woman who has been terrorizing the Joshi Division for several months is now at the top of the mountain. Who can dethrone Psycho Witch in her current form? ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship match - Daisuke Shimura vs Donnie Doogan (C) Doogan has simply been unstoppable since the Z-1 Climax tourney. He made short work of Shimura here. A very big thank you to everyone who submitted an edit to be used in the tourney, and good luck going forward to all the first round winners! Card for Night Two has been posted!

Looking great! If the Super Z Cup wasn't enough, we get Cutie Booties testing her kicks against Lady Armbreaker's jujigatame, the Patriarch potentially winning a title shot(!!) and a top notch tag contest with Nails n' Grinds defending against Blue Destiny, who would want to pass up on that?

That was some excellent stuff, top notch all around, and a deserving winner in the end. Now if Deni can just book the right people to win in the future for the regular ZIP matches...

Thanks for the comments guys, and thanks to everyone who attended or had an edit participate in the 2018 Super Z Cup. It was a lot of fun again this year. Here's the official results for Night 2: Quarterfinal A - Windex Rider vs Lil' Lariato Quarterfinal B - Hijo de Peregrine II vs Parachute Rousseau Quarterfinal C - Jimmy Hawkins vs Silver Hawk Quarterfinal D - ZIP Man vs El Gran Gato Guapo To determine No 1 contender for the ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship - Cutie Booties vs Hanako Yoshii Very nice back and forth encounter, with Cutie's Kicks ultimately winning the day over Yoshii. Cutie becomes #1 Contender. Semifinal A - Windex Rider vs Parachute Rousseau Parachute Rousseau continued his unlikely rise through the tourney ranks with another stellar performance here. Windex Rider is an excellent competitor who came up just short in this instance. Semifinal B - Jimmy Hawkins vs ZIP Man Jimmy Hawkins was incredible in his opener against Silver Hawk, and he continued his highflying ways against ZIP Man. however, ZIP Man is a tough and lanky grappler who could not be denied. His attire is reminiscent of King ZIP, but his moveset is more like Gorobei's. ZIP Man's Blazing Tornado/Spin Cycle proved decisive over Hawkins. To determine No 1 contender for the ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship - Wataru Nakajima vs Takeshi Kiriyama Heartbreak for fans of the Patriarch, as Nakajima produced one of his best singles performances in recent memory, dominating large portions of this match against Kiriyama. Unfortunately, a split second of indecision caught him out, and Kiriyama cranked in his signature armbreaker for the win. Would've been MOTN if not for the war that followed it. ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Championship match - Blue Destiny (Jin Matsuda/Maki Yoshida) vs Nails n Grinds (Jimmy Nails/Mickey Grinds) (C) This was your MOTN right here. Both teams displayed incredible skill and fighting spirit throughout, so many cool spots and very close calls, before Jin Matsuda finally secured the title victory with a savage Lung Blower on Mickey Grinds. It was a very good run for Nails n Grinds, but Blue Destiny are your new ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Champions! Tourney Final - Parachute Rousseau vs ZIP Man Not the final that most people expected to see at the beginning of the night, but it ended up being a fantastic, competitive encounter between two wrestlers who couldn't be more of a contrast to each other. Rousseau's antics and aerial prowess vs ZIP Man's solid striking assault produced a very exciting match with nearfalls galore for both men, but in the end, it was a grounded ZIP-er Kick from ZIP Man that won the day. Congrats to ZIP Man who earns a future title opportunity against ZIP JAPAN Junior champ Tetsuo K! Thanks once again to everyone who came to the show, attendance was a little higher than usual for my shows lately so it is much appreciated. Also, the next show Holiday Havoc will take place Friday Dec 28 at 8pm EST, card has been posted on the first page.
