So I guess I'm gonna pass on this DLC. Carl is making it a mod requirement at this point. Not getting it, at this point, is literally just falling off of the planet, really.

So it seems that the official NJPW edits really like performing their sigs and finishers within 5 minutes of the match

I'm a little late to the party but this is indeed a very nice surprise.
I really wish that there were an easy remedy for compatibility. Truthfully, I have no qualms about them doing it WWE 2K-style wherein there is an automatic disclaimer for uploads that feature DLC content.

hmmmm
I'm using a PS4 controller and the update apparently has menu operation set to that pesky FPR style wherein X is the cancel/return button and O is the confirmation button.
I don't understand, why would they change this?
Is that something that I can mess around with for myself outside of the game? (it's been over a year since I installed the PS4 controller on my PC and I've only done it the once.....for FPW >_>)

I've heard about that but looking at the logic, their Lrg finisher or sig is set to around 10% and 5% at most in Md and nothing in Sml. Those numbers are a little higher than I like but not enough to make Ishii pull out a screwdriver (0/0/10) in 4 minutes. Lol.

The reason it's happening so early is likely their offense/defense params.

I don't understand, why would they change this? Accidentally slapping Japan's code into the US release, since Japan is O confirm, X Cancel in everything. Not sure how that has remained a regional thing all these years.

Man, lots of pinheaded edits in NJ. Okada especially looks weird. Thank god for unlimited edit slots, cause I'm going to re-do the whole f'n roster.

Not sure how that has remained a regional thing all these years. I imagine it's to avoid Nintendo getting litigious outside of a Japanese court over the Playstation controller or something. Since the PS1 was so heavily based off of the Super NES due to the agreement Sony and Nintendo had, the old PS controller is basically just a slightly retooled SNES pad. And with it, they tried to create an input standard in Japan that matches the usual button mapping for stuff on SNES. O corresponds to A on Ninty games, X to B. In old JRPGs of the day, menus were usually assigned to the X button on SNES, and Y was reserved for context-sensitive actions. I think they changed the O and X inputs in the US purely to avoid getting accused of infringing on anything Nintendo could claim is their own creation.

I think the issue here is that, if they did that, then someone would just post the NJPW defaults and Takayama, unmodified, on the workshop. Sure, you can't use the new parts and moves yourself, but if there's any selling point to those default wrestlers, it's nullified by that. That’s a good point. Hmm, anyone have any ideas? There needs to be a method of easily viewing and deleting edits with dlc assets if you haven't purchased the dlc yourself. It's not the fact that they're dlc that's the issue (if you don't like the price, wait for a sale), it's existing edits suddenly not working because you didn't update, and then locking your game when attempting to use them without warning. It wouldn't be a bad suggestion to toss to Spike, since it's a potential major issue moving forward (it will be the same for the remaining he heavyweight dlc as well).

locking your game when attempting to use them without warning. DLC puts a block over them. You cant even choose them to start a match, much less crash from using them.

If I disable it, it's the other way.
