Did they uninstall workshop subscriptions? If not, I'm wondering how they'll handle published edits automatically updating on copies without the dlc.

Did they uninstall workshop subscriptions? If not, I'm wondering how they'll handle published edits automatically updating on copies without the dlc. Just checked. You still are subscribed to them, they're just unselectable now, same as when the Takayama DLC came out. I mean, a lot of people mocked me for it but exactly the thing I was worried would happen, back when Takayama came out, is what's happened.. Edits who have the moves are inaccessible which means you either have to make separate versions or anyone who doesn't have the DLC is just boned, so people are basically being held up for the continued functionality of the game they already paid for. And there's no warning message that I can see either. I'm not surprised I guess but I'm extremely disappointed Spike chose to divide the community for money because now you've got have and have-not edits rather than just being able to get any edit you want. So I guess I'm gonna pass on this DLC.

I can't wait to check out the CPU logic and parameters and use this as the official balance system to check my wrestlers against.
Plus I want to add all the wwe bullet club defectors back into their rightful group.

They should release a compatibility pack which allows everyone to play using the new parts and moves but would NOT allow them to select them in Edit mode. Can’t see any other way it would work.

That would be the best case scenario in my book. It'd also be the best advertisement for the actual DLC that you could make, as I know I'd go nuts if I could sim edits with all this nice new stuff, but couldn't access it on my own. And I think that by locking the non-purchasers out, it hurts the people who buy the DLC just as much, since it drastically reduces our download base for the edits we make with the new stuff. I don't want to withhold adding DLC parts to edits I've made, keeping the Endless German off Brock or making a pointless non-DLC version of the edits I improve with the new moves. That shouldn't be necessary.

Downloading NJPW now. Pretty excited... be even more excited when I can bring back my mod save though.

first complaint: it seems like all my entrance music has been reset. this was all stuff set with out mods too Really hoping that's not the case. This is the sort of stuff I hate from updates and such. Clearing my work. Did you only update or did you get the DLC?

I think the issue here is that, if they did that, then someone would just post the NJPW defaults and Takayama, unmodified, on the workshop. Sure, you can't use the new parts and moves yourself, but if there's any selling point to those default wrestlers, it's nullified by that.

I'm being destroyed at work recently so can't play the game yet. Has anyone tried freem's save tool? The chances of it to work are slim to none but one can still hope.
About the Grenade - I think it was a move added after the initial batch of moves, that's why it is not on Fale.
If anyone can confirm the custom music thing doesn't happen, it would be great. I put a lot of effort into assigning custom themes for many edits.

That is certainly the case, but that should just be considered an appetizer to the main course of getting to use the parts and moves for yourself, play Fighting Road, get the official belts, etc. To me, locking the edits is a shortsighted, small minded move that does more harm than good, in terms of sales and the fanbase.

Freem doubts it will work and he's not going back to it anytime soon. Dunno if it actually does or not.
My themes were fine on the few I checked, may be related to setting them via mods?

Yeah but there's already better versions of those guys on the workshop already in most cases

I'm going to stick with the old, mod-friendly version until everything catches up and settles.
