While 24k copies is hardly good, I think it's sales numbers have been hampered by the little bugs (and one very BIG one that needs to be addressed asap). That isn't to say it would have broke 500k copies - or even 100k - without it, but I wouldn't doubt that sales lagged due to that in particular.
I think that the US launch will be one of the make or break moments for this game. If they're serious, they'll make sure the next major bug fix patch for the PS4 version comes out on or before the 28th; and if that's the case, it may mean the delay on PC is minimal.

Only thing pissin' me off is the timing. It's so damn close to the 28th. If they only knew what I had to do to ensure this $50 was in the bank by the 28th...

For what it's worth.
Preorder for GameStop offers 8 buttons (dude didn't know, thought maybe they're buttons for the controller??)

Doubtful. It took long enough just to get the attire changes in the game to begin with. Outside of a simple color swap, I don't see any extra logos/parts added for the vanilla version of the game. Yeah, especially when the game is based off of 2017 New Japan, I don't see them adjusting that unless they do a second "scenario" that happens in 2018, and then it'll be outdated again. I kinda wish this was viewed like some sports games, where they get updated constantly with roster updates, stat updates, etc., but these games are nowhere near as popular. Never mind the fact that most of the official Spike edits don't seem all-that-great. I dunno, I think Otaku or I could probably churn out better NJPW edits at this point and probably will in the future, although a good bulk of people will obviously just be using the defaults. Damn, Dave... I feel left out ;-) -DA

I am a little concerned they might not follow through with the rest of dlc if U.S sales are low.

That might have been a possible outcome except that they've already sold Season Passes on the PS4.

Only thing pissin' me off is the timing. It's so damn close to the 28th. If they only knew what I had to do to ensure this $50 was in the bank by the 28th... With six days left.
Six days, after hyping the fuck outta a dlc and setting a release date, pretty much confirming we were getting the same day as the PS4 owners.
It's just unprofessional, i'm not giving them a pass for this, which is why i called them jerks, i spent the last two days cussing at their direction for this and if someone has a problem with it because the dev team or the Spikechunsoft itself is so sacred, i'm not sorry.
They messed up when they shouldn't, there is absolutely no feasible reason for something like this to happen, the warning coulda come a week earlier, they could do a better job of communicating themselves, they could do a lot of things to mitigate the effects of bad news.
Instead they made a brief post on twitter and Steam, ran and left us to deal with it - I totally get Carl's feelings of "Im not waiting for them anymore" because waiting is all we've been doing since january.
I get the whole point is to not deliver a faulty product and we're aren't being COMPLETELY screwed since we didn't pay for it yet, but jesus christ almighty just be a little more professional and actually run a timetable and deliver what you've promised around it.
It could been worse, of course it could - Atlus messed up in a brutal fashion by doing a pre-sale of the newest Disgaea, months ago and releasing the game in such a broken state they had to pull it off the store to fix it, and now they're putting on pre-sale again, after making me refund the thing. I mean at least isn't this.
but people gotta know better than to do this, when you set a date you follow through with it, i don't care if the team is small, their passion for it, or whatever - their reputation is all they got, they have now set a precedent in regard to the treatment of the PC playerbase : If needed be they will always throw us under the bus to prioritize the console crowd, and it sucks.
I want to help them, but if they don't want my help, by the means of delivering something in due time so i can throw them my money, how the hell this is supposed to work?

I can totally understand both sides of this. I purchased the PC version of the game but don't play it as often as I should. Suffice to say my eggs are all in for the ps4 basket. However this is a quite a letdown. They should have known better than to handle this in this manner. But I'm not here to admonish them for there hard work. If I HAD to blame someone I would guess it was the SC executives who had the director and his team rush this game out. I waited this long for a sequel to a game I thought was never coming back. I could've waited a bit longer for a quality product. Base the game on 2018 if you have to just as long as they take there time.

Eh, I understand being frustrated or angry at them but they had no real choice.
Not only is a game breaking bug tanking their game in Japan but the US date is set. They can't delay a brick-and-mortar physical release this close to launch. They have to isolate the bug and create a day one patch by the 28th. Come hell or high water.
It may feel like we're second-class citizens but at least we have a working game. I'd rather them not endanger that just so they could keep their word on new content. Look at how well that worked out for Japanese fans with Director's promise to launch in time for G1. They launched but whoops your save may be eaten.

They never fixed the save corruption bug on the PS4...they just recommended that people back up their saves and said they'll work on it.

Well, it corrupts your save game, so I'd call that pretty game breaking.

You've got your point, but it's still unprofessional, is dropping the ball and based on the revelations we've had about the troubled development they have been dropping the ball quite frequently.
I don't know who's actually to blame in this story, i'd say everyone just to be fair and split the blame, but it serves no real purpose, most of us are frustrated and feeling jerked around by them and thats about the size of it.
What doesn't sit well with me is staunchly defending them from criticism just because and not actually understanding why we're feeling so wronged, that was my whole argument when i elaborated into why they messed up. I don't give a flying cow if Matsumoto is a overly nice guy, or if the dev team loves Fire Pro to death or even if they've been taking pictures with the NJPW stars. - I want them to stop screwing this up, that includes the PS4 releases as well because i want this project to succeed.
I'm just not going to defend their asses if they keep gimping stuff, and right now, they are.
Still waiting for 28th, but now for different reasons, i wanna see if they ironed out all the problems the console port is having.
