What a train wreck. All I care about is the new moves. I don't understand what has gone wrong in implementing the NJPW stuff into the game. Isn't it just a story mode, more moves and parts? How did that completely f-up the game? They cut off the modded moves and now this crap. Spoilers : it's not the NJPW content holding things back, it's that they need to fix gameplay and other issues dating back to a year ago

Mats admitted forever ago that the PC code was pretty bad, so they started over with the PS4.
The PS4 changes are probably being reverse-ported back to PC.

I hope not...the PS4 changes are crash heavy and laggy.

lol PWX was a good idea but it had horrible execution. Way too much focus on graphics, horrible optimization, barely there gameplay that doesn't come close to replicating AKI, cart before the horse feature roadmap, closed everything. I think they just recently got a single animator on board. 3 years in development and they're still in tech demo land. I just looked the game up because I was surprised to hear it's still being developed, and "cart before the horse" is a great way to describe it. They've even got a scaffold match despite what looks like pretty terrible gameplay.

I like Dave, I appreciate his enthusiasm and efforts, but the game is severely limited and, honestly, I'd focus on the core wrestling mechanics before the bells and whistles. They did the bells and whistles and tossed them on top of really, really bad, incomplete gameplay.

You have your opinion, and I have mine. If they view modding as hostile going forward because I did what I had to do to keep it a float because they can't pull their shit together to treat the people who have been with them since before this NJPW shit became an issue, fine, whatever...no matter the outcome of that, they're shooting themselves in the foot, and it's not on me. To be perfectly honest, if this is going to be a running theme, putting the PC users on the back burner because it's not a big deal in Japan, then I'm not really concerned with keeping everything copacetic any longer. If things work out that way, awesome, if not, oh well... What version do you think people will be playing in 10 years...because they're definitely not going to release another one anytime soon...I'd bet the farm it's the PC version. I'm not gonna get into depth because it'll just lead to anything I say being screenshotted and mocked behind my back (Hi, Discord server, how ya doin'?), even when plenty of other people are saying the same things, so I'll just say, I agree 100% with Carl. When the dust settles, this game's gonna be played on PC or not at all, in the not so distant future. Thank you Carl, for everything you've done for us and this game, man.

I've never ever gotten mad at a game developer over a delay. I always say the same fucks who run their bitch holes about a game being delayed are the same fucks who will incessantly cry if a game is released on time but full of bugs; so it's always a lose lose situation for the devs. This exactly. I trust the devs. If they delay but get it right upon release then it will be worth it. Yup, I was looking forward to having the DLC next week but these things happen and I am (or at least should be) old enough to be patient. I remember nearly shedding actual tears when the UK releases of Dreamcast and Mortal Kombat (on Sega Gamegear) were both pushed back! I was young, free and impatient. Now I'm old and imprisoned but at least I'm patient.

PS4 physical copies shipping out from Amazon.ca. Mine went out last night. I'm still waiting on my Japanese copy. The shipping service site says "The item is on transport to the country of destination." And has a loading bar that looks like it's at 10%. I might get the US version before I get the Japanese version. Lol.

FYI, I received the first playable demo in 2012 when they were still talking about a boxed retail release, so, seven years later. I admire his perseverance and dedication, no doubt about it

Maaan, I signed a consulting contract with him at the very beginning and I'm pretty sure I did absolutely nothing. Can you elaborate? I was super active on their boards at the time and we talked a lot about concepts, design ideas and whatever, so he wanted me under a contract. This was at a time where saying "you should add powerballs" was a radical idea, mind you. I had a graphic design degree and if they could get the budget and get things rolling I was going to work for them, but, you know, nothing really happened for years.

You know this 'civil war' problem with people going mods or no mods?
I'm literally torn in the middle of it.
I love the mods. All my people of my main roster have named Signatures, a lot have extra moves and items on them (and the fact that I actually made some means something, you know?) BUT I also really want to buy the DLC and actually use it. I mean I'd buy it either way because as been said, down the line, sometime, years from now maybe even, all these mods will still be alive while the game isn't supported any more (though I'm sure the Workshop would still be since they never seem to close those on Steam) but now I have to go 'what matters to me more?'
And right now? Don't have an answer. That sucks. :/
