Sweet merciful crap, Dexter coming back for a new 10 episode season. Finally a chance to redeem that shit ending from the original run.

For as much as Disney Star Wars insists the now 'Legends' content is worthless, they do seem to be pulling it back piece by piece, especially with the return of Boba Fett on The Mandalorian.
Oh that's right, Kathleen Kennedy was actually completely removed from and has no influence over the one Star Wars project that hasn't nose dived the franchise.

Yeah, a deserved redemption for a certain character and actor for sure. Hopefully Disney takes notice of how the internet is blowing up over it.

It is rather annoying knowing that if Favreau and Filoni had been allowed to take the reins instead of Coffee Bringer Kennedy, Jar Jar Abrams and Big Head Rian, the Sequel "trilogy" would have been good.
The Mandalorian is what happens when people who respect the franchise are allowed to run it.

Another RLM spotlight video reminded me of something I'm long overdue for. I've never watched Twin Peaks. When the show first aired people at school used to tell me all the time that this was a show made for me. However back in those days, I only had three TV channels and Twin Peaks was on none of them and we were still years away from DVD releases let alone TV box sets.
My brother got me an Amazon gift card for Christmas and I ordered myself the entire Twin Peaks box set collection and movie on blu ray and am really looking forward to starting this. El Camino aka the final episode of Breaking Bad was also just released on blu ray and I picked that up as well.

Twin Peaks is a trip, I’m stoked for you. Just reading your post got the theme music and the intro playing in my head. It is its own thing, nothing compares, I can see people hating it or loving it for its eccentricities, but it’s a cool ride. I just watched the original series a couple of years ago and it was pretty cool and very different. Looking forward to your impressions!

There's nothing like it when it first came out and you will be able to spot how many other shows were influenced by it. It's mysterious, it's dark, it's hilarious, it's engaging. The setting is so damn immersive too. I watched the original series for the first time in Fall of 2017 and it blew me away. I need to watch the reboot that came out around that time/. Still need to watch El Camino too.

Just watched the episode with the Red Room dream. I officially love this show now. I know why people kept telling me to watch it. I also realized Thimbleweed Park is basically a Maniac Mansion in-universe homage to Twin Peaks; even the main theme from the game is reminiscent of the Twin Peaks theme.

Binge watched the first two seasons of The Expanse over the weekend after a guy at work recommended it to me. Really got into it. Now I want to pick up the novels and comics of it. Called in to work due to being snowed in today so should get to finish up season 2 and start 3. I only have one more shift until vacation then I'll be looking for some more stuff to watch, although I would like to get a re-watch of the entire Hunter x Hunter and (original) Legend of the Galactic Heroes series in over my month off.

Whoops, late reply on this but I'm so glad that you got to watch that scene! First time I saw that, I immediately thought of the Simpsons! Then I watched the Who Shot Mr. Burns Episode with Chief Wiggums's "backward talking girl" dream (..."I'll drive") and confirmed the reference I never understood before! "Don't eat...the clues" *dancing*Did you finish watching Twin Peaks? The original series, at least. I haven't watched the reboot yet. And yeah, Thimbleweed Park definitely is a major homage to Twin Peaks. I still need to finish Thimbleweed.

Yes, I binge watched the whole series and am already wanting to go through it again. The reboot series actually isn't a reboot, but a full on continuation season 3 set 25 years later with most of the cast from the original series reprising their roles.
As the original series ends with Cooper trapped in the Black Lodge and Killer Bob assuming a doppleganger form of Cooper the new series picks up 25 years later with the Black Lodge summoning Killer Bob to return to it but Bob doesn't particularly want to go back.
The final season could best be described as the search for Cooper. As far as anyone knows after the events of the first two seasons Cooper disappears as Killer Bob enters the criminal underworld to wreak havoc. Bob created a Tulpa of Cooper to essentially act as a stand in for the real Cooper to return into instead of trading places with Bob when the Black Lodge opens again. The Tulpa assumes the identity of Dougie, a sleazy insurance agent, wife cheating, deadbeat dad, with only a vague recollection of Cooper and no recollection of his early life, since he is only a physical copy of Cooper.
At the 25 year point the Black Lodge opens again and Cooper is able to use Dougie as a conduit to escape, however in Dougie's body Cooper has no ability to literally do anything and is both physically and mentally stuck in a state of passive helplessness but begins to have memories of his former self like when he gets to eat pie and drink coffee again, which Cooper was obsessed with in the original series. The true Cooper doesn't emerge until toward the end of the series in which he electrocutes himself into a coma and experiences total recall, remembering everything and that Killer Bob has been out in the world looking like him for the last 25 years.

Glad you finished the original series and liked it so much! 😄
The first time I saw Twin Peaks was in 2017 and I want to watch the original series again.
The continuation series seems a bit stranger than the original series. I did some reading about it and knew the Cooper stuff was confusing like that. Having Bob out in the world is a bold move!
I also heard they attempted to expand the mythology as to how Bob (and others like him) were created and that definitely piqued my interest.
