Not sure I'm liking how they completely changed Stormfront from his comic self, but we'll see.

So after over a decade, I'm finally getting around to watching the Star Wars Clone Wars series. I'm still on the first season. It started out a bit hokey with a lot of embarrassing dialogue that made me question if I wanted to continue watching but the last few episodes (13-15) have been MUCH better written. Early on, just about everything one of the three principal Jedi say in dialogue is a sarcastic "one-liner" of some sort and it was frankly distracting, especially when Obi-Wan delivered an Aesop at the end of the episode after being so snide throughout. In the last few episodes, these characters actually talk to each other (and other characters) conversationally which makes the actual stories flow better and keeps me interested in seeing an outcome (as opposed to just passively watching and hoping something interesting happens). I'd heard that the first season is the weakest and that's pretty common for animated series so I'm going to see it through but if the rest of the series is like these middle episodes (or better) then it will definitely be worth watching, as you can definitely see the actual effort given to making the characters have more nuanced personalities. Despite some questionable "dialogue" choices early on, I really do like the attention that's paid to the lore (or what was the lore; they keep going back and forth on what's canon) and I expect that will remain one of the strong points of the series throughout.

I have watched this series off and on over the years because it doesn't always hit there at some episodes that are hard to watch but overall the series has been good as dives more into the lives and the characters and the smaller stories it tells within the big ones. I've really enjoyed and will get back to it when I functional machine that can use Disney plus is hooked up to my tv again

You know, I've never gotten the appeal of Boba Fett among the Star Wars fandom but I think I now understand the "holy shit, this guy looks cool" thing that I think is at least part of it. I just saw an episode in season 2 of the Clone Wars that introduced a gang of bounty hunters who are WAAAAAY to distinctive looking to never appear again. Anyhow, all of them got their moment of badass in the episode but THE scene stealing mofo of the day was one named "Embo" (I think) who was like some alien ninja/pirate/samurai thing that looked and moved a LOT like Yoshimitsu from Tekken 5 (specifically, his 2nd costume). Dude was snapping necks like they were Slim Jims. The 2nd season has been nothing but solid stories with great action but more than any other introduced so far, that one guy from a gang of mercs gave me that wrestling mark "this is awesome" feeling. Hope to see more of that dude in the future.

Since there are one, maybe two gamers here, I thought this might be of interest.

Yeah, I'm really glad that both seasons are now online. Apparently it's the #1 watched show in one day.
And it's completely worthy of the hype. I loved enjoyed both seasons. I hope they announce Season 3 soon.

Just binged the first 3 episodes of season 2 of The Boys. If they had the whole season up I probably would have spent the entire day watching the full series back to back.

I am really enjoying Cobra Kai, I thought I would, but I’m liking it way more than I expected. Johnny Lawrence was my favourite character in the original karate kid, never liked that dork Daniel san, so this was a real treat for me. Lots of comedy with a cool redemption story without Johnny going, in his terms, full pussy or nerd, they let him keep his edge, that 80s shithead that made him so lovable and everyone’s favourite in old movie! Love this, don’t be a pussy, watch this already, and listen to some G n’ R or something!

LOL the thing that always got me about Daniel was how dumb he seemed 😂
Like everything was confusing and new to him, even things that he should have known. He had this "street smart" vibe yet he had like no idea how to deal with difficult people. He's SO much better in Karate Kid 2, regresses in Karate Kid 3, then gets much, much better in Cobra Kai.
Johnny is a f'n gem though - absolutely love the nuance his character has in this and his utter refusal/incapacity to understand technology. Some of my favorite moments deal with his relationship with the internet as well as his love for 80's/90's nostalgia like rock music and martial art movies.
I love this series and can't wait for Season 3!!

Wow, Jenson Ackles is going to be on The Boys!? And Giancarlo Esposito is as well?
Better start watching this series yesterday.
I'm just going to head-canon Supernatural's finale season right into his Season 3 debut😁

Wow - was NOT expecting Animaniacs to come back!! That is awesome! 😁 Will be great to see Pinky and the Brain back as well!! The new season of Primal started and the first two episodes are excellent. The second is especially downright scary given recent times. It's amazing how the series really is perfectly defined by its title.  After just a few minutes of the first episode, I feel like I'm right back into the story of the first season. Big spoiler for Season 1 finale cliffhanger: Sooooo glad that Fang is alive!! Spear was an absolute HOSS dragging Fang everywhere!
