Unsanctioned Brawl: Cogburn Ranch(Lil' Lariato, Cowboy Johnston and Duke Cogburn) vs. The Jackson Hole Outlaws(Doc Wyatt, Roy Carter, Red Masterson and Byron Worthy)(Warrior Pro)

Just before the long awaited title rematch between Lariato and Johnston, a commotion was heard backstage. None other than the former Dominican Golden Champion, Colossus Rhodes had secured the locker room door with a heavy chain and was blockading the backstage entrance to the ring. With Duke Cogburn at ringside, Lariato and Johnston found themselves facing an invasion of the Jackson Hole Outlaws, who walked down to the ring, and the fight was on.

Despite being a three on four battle, the Cogburn Ranch held its own, Cogburn's punches repeatedly flooring Outlaws, Lariato isolating opponents and Johnston even came close to hitting the Amarillo Sunset before being knocked out of it. But the numbers didn't lie, with Cogburn falling first, Lariato valiantly going down next in a futile effort, leaving Johnston to weather a storm. While it seemed that Doc Wyatt wanting nothing more than to stomp the rugged Texan into oblivion, he eventually gave his newest ally, Byron Worthy the honor of delivering the coup de grace with a vicious Showtime Slam, a vicious Phoenix Plex that finished the ordeal. The Jackson Hole Outlaws stood strong and defiant before security finally ushered them out and allowed for the medical staff to attend to their victims.

TIPWF Old Guard Championship Bout
Wataru Nakajima(ZIP Japan)(C) vs. Newfie George(ZIP Japan)

The two ZIP Japan veterans have fought before, but this time, with gold on the line, a different dynamic was at play. Nakajima brought in a sizable fanbase to the Stockade, with loud cheers echoing every strike he landed, every counter he managed. Even so, Newfie George had one move and one goal in mind, and after several attempts, finally hit the Kiss the Cod lariat to get the three count and become the third TIPWF Old Guard champion.

Cassandra Marshall(Phoenix Rising) vs. Hailey Comet

Cassandra Marshall came into Amarillo looking to take out some frustration on Hailey Comet, and did just that, battering her from corner to corner for fourteen minutes of the match. However, Comet held on, barely, just long enough to catch Marshall with her father, Duke Cogburn's finisher, the Badman Sleeper to earn a surprising comeback victory out of nowhere.

TIPWF Lone Star Championship #1 Contenders Bout
The Everyman with Big Bubba Bob and Lenny Broadway vs. Roland Chang III with Roland Chang Jr. and Roland Chang Sr.

A solid brawl between the union man and the third generation prospect, but it appeared here that RCIII has finally stepped up his game, weathering an early storm and unleashing a series of powerbombs culminating in a huge cross powerbomb to earn a future shot at the TIPWF Lone STar title.

The Neon Knights(Supernaut and Holy Diver) and the Mystery Warriors of Redneck-Fu(Misterio Guerrero and Jimmy Jack Walker) vs. The EWO(Vice Versa and Martina Martinez) and the High Plains Drifters(Johnny Sixname and Walt Callahan)

The longest match of the night, but as action packed and well paced as this sort of debacle ever could have ended up. Every person had their moments, from Guerrero's high impact splash to Holy Diver's mission to land a Holy Diving Headbutt on every opponent to Martina Martinez trying to liplock Supernaut's visor to Johnny Sixname landing his Death Wish cradle piledriver on Jimmy Jack Walker to secure a hard fought victory.

Rodeo Angel vs. Gunny Lee Hart

In an example of asymmetric warfare, Gunny Lee Hart imposed his style on the Rodeo Angel, throwing hard chops and utilizing his arsenal of submission holds to outlast the luchadora, despite his own fatigue, and finished with a crossface chickenwing hold.

Match of the Night: Eight Person Showcase
-All eight people could be proud of their efforts in this bout, and while the High Plains Drifters and the EWO came out ahead, the Neon Knights and Mystery Warriors of Redneck-Fu did not lose any stock in defeat.

Performer of the Night: Roland Chang III
-RCIII has finally taken the next step up in his career, and did so in a high pressure situation against one of the toughest wrestlers in the entire Senatorial Office. A well earned victory.

As the Cogburn Ranch members convalesce in the cramped medical room at the Stockade, Hailey Comet attended to Cowboy Johnston, and after checking on her husband, Lilly Anne Cogburn returned to her interview duties.

Lilly Anne Cogburn: We all saw what happened out there, Lariato, it appears that your feud with that despicable Doc Wyatt has carried over here...and I'm not too happy with the results.

Lil' Lariato: Full respect, Mrs. Duke, but we're all pissed. Me, your man, Cowboy, and just let me say this; we're not the only ones who are sick and tired of the Jackson Hole Outlaws. I been getting messages left and right from some badasses who want nothing more than to back us up on this, and kick their asses to kingdom come.

Cowboy Johnston: Yeah, ah heard from mah buddy Lance, he ain't likin' this one bit!

Lariato: And I heard from another big name who's ready to revive our chances.

Hailey Comet: Those, those, bastards tried to hurt my daddy and my Cowboy, I'm so mad I'm not even happy about my win earlier! I just want to hurt Doc Wyatt so badly he doesn't ever come back here again! And that big giant who kept me locked in the locker room, too, I want to hurt him real bad!

Duke Cogburn: We're ready for war. They might have knocked us down, they did that. But Doc Wyatt, if you're looking for trouble, we're be willing to accommodate you. And we're willing to do what needs to be done.

As the PEWA prepares for the Horror of Hardcore, PEWA President, Biff Taylor hauled his usual podium out in front of longtime sponsor, Pat's King of Steaks for a press conference between PEWA Extreme Champion, Downtown Lucy Brown and PEWA Original, the challenger, Jack Fury.

Biff Taylor: So alright then, you two got a chance to say something, so let's hear it!

Downtown Lucy Brown: First off, I'm just going to say here, I have a ton of respect for Jack. He was here from day one, just like my husband, the Bodybreaker, and he's done everything anyone ever needs to do in this business. There's nothing left for Jack to prove to anyone. I promised him this match out of respect. But that's not the only reason. The thing is, I offered this match for a more selfish reason, too. Look, Biff's not going to make a big deal out of it, and the fans aren't, but I'm the first woman to win this PEWA title.

Lucy: With the likes of Mina Fitsharris, Juliette Erving, Yamikuro and others around here, that means a lot. But it only means I have more to prove, not to the people, not even to the guys in the back, but to myself. I need to prove to myself that I'm worthy, not just of winning a battle royale to win this belt, but that I'm worthy to hold onto it. So I'm facing Jack Fury in the Hellfire Explosion match, the most brutal match type in PEWA history, and I'm doing so against a man who knows how to win it, and knows that if he loses, that's the end of his career. That's pressure. For him, and for me. Because if I lose this, I'm nothing but the wife of Bodybreaker Brown who got a lucky chance. I don't go down in PEWA history like P-Dogg, Jack, Luke Powers, Jeremy Wylde, Tomas, Young Blood. I'm just a footnote, a lucky footnote, if I lose this time. So I'm going to make sure that doesn't happen.

Lucy Brown steps away from the podium, as Jack Fury walks up.

Jack Fury: In due time, all things come to an end. The universe itself will burn out into a powerless husk as the stars extingish themselves, bereft of their energy. The Earth will be consumed as Sol flares into a red giant. Human civilization will destroy itself as it always was meant to do so. Nations will fall, our temporary constructs will deconstruct, pull apart, dissolve. The PEWA will someday close its doors for good, remaining only as a memory, an item in the archives. Our careers are finite, here today, gone tomorrow.

Fury: But that is not a reason to avoid the fight. Because it is the fight in which we find life. It is in the fight that we make purpose, in which we forge a reason to continue. Nothing gives us this, it is what we make it to be. And I refuse to give in to the calling of the reaper! I will not allow the years that sit upon my shoulders to weigh me down! And I will stare in the face of hellfire, I will beckon the explosion to come and I will be the one who remains standing! It is, because I choose it to be! I will complete the circle of twenty years, I will once again stand up with the PEWA Extreme Championship hoisted above my head, and I will shout my defiance to all who will hear, and I will shout into the void, and the void will shout back, and Fury will be the voice that will be heard across the eons!

Fury: Downtown Lucy Brown, you have etched your name in history already. It matters not how long you held the title, for you did so. It matters not why, because long after we depart from this mortal existence, only the records will linger on. And you will be in the book of the records, a name that will not be erased until all is erased. Conduct yourself with the pride which you should have for such an accomplishment. For when I emerge victorious, you will have to come to terms with it. And I tell you this: do not give in. Do not deny the despair, but defy it! And once you are ready again, I welcome yet another challenge!

With a defiant smirk on her face, Lucy Brown walks back up to the podium, looking up at Jack Fury as she addresses him.

Lucy: You sound real sure of yourself.

Fury: I know that I must be sure of myself. Learn that lesson.

Lucy: Maybe I will.

The two face off in a staredown, before Biff Taylor steps in.

Biff: Alright then, I think we've said our piece here, you two get yourselves right and ready, because you're gonna have to be real ready for tonight!

Bonus Match - PEWA Extreme Title Bout
Downtown Lucy Brown(C) vs. Young Blood

Before Lucy Brown could so much as help Jack Fury up to his feet, the impossible happened: Young Blood came down through the crowd, and with a brief conversation with Biff Taylor, the match was on. Lucy Brown put up a fight, but Young Blood simply destroyed her, dropping the champ on her head repeatedly with his Last Will and Testament turning fireman carry driver, and a third one did the job, granting a three count and the PEWA Extreme title to Young Blood.

Main Event - Hellfire Explosion Match - PEWA Extreme Title Bout
Downtown Lucy Brown(C) vs. Jack Fury

Lucy Brown wanted to be taken seriously. She wanted to go down as a proper legend in the PEWA. She took the explosion that went off at one minute into the match. And she then dropped Jack Fury with the Snap Cracker, the Gory Bomb style facebuster her husband taught her to retain the title only two minutes and seventeen seconds into the bout.


Co-Main Event - Master of the Arcane Challenge: Vampiric Duel
Sir Vladimir Henry (with Heidi Karnstein) vs. Jakob of Furis(OG-FPD)

Pay no attention to the match rating here, we all know Dave Doolittle is a jerk. This one started off with a burst of violence, Sir Vlad going for multiple chokes, Jakob fighting through them and looking to turn the tide with his chops. As the match went on, Heidi Karnstein repeatedly attempted to gain the attention of the Masked Maniac III, using her insistent approach and skimpy low cut dress to keep the ref away from the action. Furis found himself bleeding thanks to the teeth of Henry, but despite a brief moment of shock, this did not deter Furis from turning the tide, with bites and forks. The Omen of Death lifting spike smash from Henry was not enough, nor was a neck snap, but eighteen minutes in, and much blood lost, a second Omen was enough to gain a pin and the win.

Exorcism by Blood
Victor Van Banning vs. The Demon Priest(Independent)

Van Banning put up a valiant effort in this bout, landing his Righteous Blow and coming close to locking in an arm triangle choke, but the Demon Priest was not to be denied, and burnt Van Banning into defeat with a fireball.

Victims or Villians?
El Verde(El Evergringo and Eternamente Verde)(Phoenix Rising) vs. The Hell Butchers(Demon Otsu(ZIP Japan) and Cleaver(Blackrose))

While El Verde put up a legit fight, the Hell Butchers, and Demon Otsu in particular just took a hold of the bout and ran away with it in the end, with Otsu putting the Evergringo away all too easily with his fireman carry bomb.

Stick Thin Lighttube Battle
Mr. Bones(Independent) vs. Tomas the Tiny Giant

Mr. Bones was unfortunate enough to encounter Tomas at his very best in his favorite match type. The Tiny Giant may have been trying to make a case for a PEWA Extreme title shot with this one, smashing many light tubes(and getting smashed with them), but a big pendulum bomb gave the Spaniard a shockingly quick victory for the night. (Apologies to Mr. Bones on this one, he's far better than this...)

The Wolf and the Zombie in the Insanitarium
Harvey Wolfman(Independent) vs. Bath Salts Zombie

To the surprise of nobody, Wolfman and Zombie fought one of the more vicious bouts of the night within the confines of the Insanitarium. While it seemed that BSZ was fully engrossed in trying to eat Harvey's face, it was the Wolfman who came out ahead, focusing in on trapping the Zombie in a Jail Hold for the win.

Woman vs. Machine
Haylicron S(Independent) vs. CiCi Reno(OASIS)

A shockingly fast victory for Halicron S, who used her Halicron(TM) Technical Takedown latch lock to secure the win, but don't let the match time deceive, CiCi did come to fight, and landed a good deal of attacks before her loss.

Rocky Ring
Dr. Frank'n'Verda(TIPWF) vs. Yamikuro

An excellent match between the cosplaying exotico from the TIPWF and Yamikuro, and while Valentina Verda tried multiple flash pin attempts, it was Yamikuro who came out ahead, landing the Vengeful Thrust iron finger attack and a big chokeslam for the win.

Clown Wars
Nightmare Clown(Warrior Pro/Lucha POWER) vs. Tenebro Clown(Independent) vs. Florida Man

A match that was every bit as bizarre and entertaining as one would have hoped, with Florida Man's usual antics getting in the way of a solid match between the two clowns. Eventually, Nightmare Clown snapped, stomping Tenebro Clown out and submitting Florida Man with a modified Romero Special.

Match of the Night: Jakob of Furis vs Sir Vladimir Henry
-Zero doubt about it, these two tore the roof down and painted the mat red. Furis showed no sign of rust and Henry had no mercy for his fellow vampiric wrestler, with both spilling gallons across the ring and putting on a display of brutality en route to Henry's victory

Performer of the Night: Young Blood
-A controversial choice, to be sure, but the surprise return and title victory have to be recognized.

After the show, Downtown Lucy Brown, infuriated and more than a little sore, confronted Biff Taylor at ringside.

Downtown Lucy Brown: I EARNED THIS! YOU KNOW I DID! AND YOU SCREWED ME OVER! WHY?

Biff Taylor: Woah, there, Lucy, this wasn't under my control, understand?

Lucy: YOU BROUGHT HIM BACK? AND NOW? I DIDN'T PREPARE FOR TWO MATCHES!

Biff: Hey, hey, stop yelling, gonna blow my ear drums out.

Lucy: MY EARS HAVE BEEN RINGING SINCE THE EXPLOSION! I SACRIFICED FOR THIS! AND NOW YOUNG BLOOD JUST STEPS IN!

Biff: He kinda never lost the belt, you know. And I don't like it any more than you do, got that? Look, we'll talk about this later, when everything settles!

Jack Fury stopped by the backstage area where the Bingo Hall Mutants had their usual BBQ post show party running, despite not featuring on the card. Fury walked over, and grabbed a burger without a word. Before he could take a bite, Luke Powers clapped him on the shoulder.

Luke Powers: Ain't your day, old man. Ain't your day.

Jack Fury: It was not.

Luke Powers: So, you want one more match, right? We on for PEWA 20, one more time between the ropes?

Fury: Of course.

Powers: No big boom, no BS, just you and me, like old times.

Fury: You and me, like old times.

Powers: Aw, come on, you didn't get hurt or nothin' and that counts for something, right?

Fury: I got a burger in my hand, and friends at my side. Yes, that counts. Now grab me a beer and let me eat!

Backstage, Young Blood found a camera and held his belt up to it, smashing the beer can in his other hand into his face before addressing the lens.

Young Blood: This! This is what this is all fucking about! The doctors told me when I got back on my feet that I was done with pro wrestling, that if I kept doing this, I could die! I told them to fuck themselves and eat shit! This is what I do! I'm the fuckin' man and I'm back, bitch ass motherfuckers! I got my belt back! I got my spot back, and you know why? Because a real mover and shaker, none other than the fucking golden god himself, Midas Morgan had his lawyers look over my damn contract. And they found that I was legally fucking entitled to come back here and take this shit back whenever I was ready! And seeing that I have this belt in my hand, that's all you pussies need to know! I see old fossil Fury fall like the old ass fossil that he is, I crush Lucy Brown like the cheap whore that she is, and I watch Biff Taylor cry like a bitch at ringside! This is the best fucking night of my life! Don't like it, get over it!

Deep in the inner sanctum of the cavernous boiler room of the Joe Frazier Arena, Sir Vladimir Henry and Heidi Karnstein open a bottle of wine, and pour each other a glass. The two raise the glasses.

Sir Vladimir Henry: A toast to dark victories.

Heidi Karnstein: A toast to lessons learned by lesser ones.

Henry: Cheers.

Karnstein: Cheers.

The two clink their glasses, but before they can take a drink, the lights flicker in the room. The wine glasses can be heard shattering, and a few ominous flashes fill the room. When the lights flicker back on, a blood splatter can be seen to cover both Henry and Karnstein, smoke fills the air, and a message is written on their table, in the crimson fluid.

Karnstein: "Not Over Yet"

Henry: That whelp! I will place his head on my mantle! Jakob of Furis! Do you hear me? You wish to continue, you will only doom yourself! Do you hear me! I will bring about your absolute destruction! You will bow and you will be destroyed!

Great show last night, I managed to watch it all in a single sitting this morning with a couple cups of coffee thanks to its perfect run time.
The highlight was seeing a whole bunch of edits I’ve never been exposed to before and of course who doesn’t love a good card full of violent, bloody, no-holds-barred brawls! :D

Victor Van Banning can be found sitting in his hotel room, a sizable bandage on his face and the fingers on his right hand wrapped in gauze.  The superficial damage, however, pales in comparison to the dour expression his body language gives off, the hunched posture of a man who has failed in an essential task.

Victor Van Banning:  I take no joy in recording this message on this ignominious morning.  For, less than twenty four hours ago, I was vanquished by the very forces of evil itself.  Were it not enough to fall in such a vital battle, to do so by means of the very fires of Hell itself was utterly intolerable.  While a part of the evening was spent in hospital, I could not bear sharing my disgrace with others and returned here to my temporary place of residence to recuperate.  And in doing so, I reevaluated my tactics and approach, and the conclusions I drew convinced me that I must persist.  As it has been said, and wrongfully attributed to the great philosopher, Edmund Burke, the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.  I shall not remain defeated for long, for as long as the Demon Priest persists in blanketing the ring with his nefarious presence, I resolve to once again rise to drive him away.  A rematch will be had.

A reaction to the return of Young Blood

"Well, well, this is a surprise. The man that came to Evergreen and tried to crush it with an iron fist... took out some of the most dangerous people they had to offer..." The voice comes seemingly from nowhere... as the room is dark, illuminated only by a single dim light. And then... the Invincible appears, Elly Blackwood stepping into that dim lighting. "Until I showed up and not only beat Young Blood and sent him running back to PEWA, I made Evergreen my stomping grounds... and I made sure Evergreen knew exactly what they were getting into. I introduced the Northwest's land of hardcore to the Invincible, the unstoppable, the still undefeated. And seeing that familiar face stomp his way out to the ring, demanding a shot at that title with vengeance in his eyes... I realized what I want to set my sights on next. I doubt you're coming back to Evergreen... Mercy doesn't seem like the type to go through that song and dance again. She's smart enough to learn from the first time... but there is nothing stopping me from going cross-country to Philly to take my shot at you. I don't exactly care whether you put that freshly-won title on the line or not... but make no mistake, Young Blood, you and I will meet again, one way or another, and I'll remind you of the one person that didn't put up with your bullshit. The one person that beat you, face-to-face. And you're never... ever going to forget it."

The L-Pro Homecoming Tour concludes this Friday with a tag title rematch in the main event and an even bigger Victorious Medal match in the "preliminary main event."

Main Event: Victorious Tag Medal Bout
The Apocalyptic Warriors(Masa Tokugawa and Ai Tanaka)(C) vs. The Destructive Duo(Crusher Honda and Wrecker Yamamoto)
A rematch demanded by the Duo, and granted by the board, with the caveat that the two will not receive another tag title bout for all of 2020 if they lose again to Tokugawa and Tanaka.

X-KIRA(PEWA) vs. The Outlaw, Sam Hall
Back in Japan, but in L-Pro for the first time, X-KIRA brings his light bulbs and powerbombs to take on a man who knows no rules he wishes to follow, Sam Hall. Expect violence and blood in this one.

Keiko Maeda(Phoenix Rising), Rei Hasegawa, Saburo Aoki Jr. and Yuki Okamura vs. The Blue Notes(Miss Bauhaus, Astro Traveler, Josie J. Jett(Wacker Drive Revival) and Eiji "Jay" Sato)
Team Hasegawa will be tested to their very limit against Wacker Drive Revival's Blue Notes, reuniting with the Bebop Tiger, Eiji Sato for the first time since he returned to L-Pro. While Rei, Keiko and the Sparks have shown incredible growth as of late, the Blue Notes will be a step up for all four.

UCSS Rules
Ayako Miyamoto vs. Sanem Becker(UCSS)
A battle of two expert grapplers, with Miyamoto's judo and Becker's catch style in a standard UCSS three round bout. This will be the Turkish-German phenom's first match under the Senatorial Office banner, and having signed with Rory Banner's Big Banter Brand, it will be little surprise if the trash talking Englishman shows up at ringside.

Michael Ito(Independent) vs. Kosuke "Choppu" Arai
A battle of well seasoned veterans, with the hard hitting lariat specialist, Ito stepping into the L-Pro ring to go up against Arai and his blistering chops.

Preliminary Main Event: Victorious Medal Bout
The Black Dragon(C)(Phoenix Rising) vs. G.P. Christopher
Be careful for what you ask for...because you just might get it, in the Preliminary Main Event.

G.P. Christopher appeared on Digital Dave Doolittle's Ring Beholder podcast recently, and had some candid comments concerning his match.

Digital Dave Doolittle: Now the word is here, if you win this match, if you take the Victorious Medal off of the Dragon, you're guaranteed the number two spot in the November rankings, behind King Bemba. But are you sure you know what you got yourself into for that?

GPC: Look, Dave, I'm not going to lie to you, or myself. Dragon's flat out scary. And she's the rightful favorite on the odds. She has how many belts? But just 'cause she's tough doesn't mean she's invincible. You saw that tournament, the one in Phoenix Rising.

Dave: Yes, I did. Dragon lost to Lance Marshall, Kileas Kintelas and Laenara Kintelas.

GPC: Now, I'm not going to say she's got some issues, because I guarantee, being in something of that scale, nobody's coming out untouched. But here's the thing, I don't care if she lost those matches. I don't give a damn if she won them. To me, it doesn't matter what she did, does, will do. What matters, is that I've worked my ass off, day in and day out, I'm the hardest working man in pro wrestling, and all that matters to me, is what I did, what I do, what I'm gonna do. Dragon's a flat out force of nature, but she's rolling into my turf, on my spot. And I'll be damned if I don't take the fight to her, as best as I can, win or lose.

Dave: You mentioned that this is in your spot on the show, what you like to call the "preliminary main event." I know you've pushed hard to get a title match as the opener since you arrived at L-Pro, and you've ruffled some feathers in the process. Do you think it's worth it, and are you satisfied now?

GPC: Dave, you have to understand, I'm never, ever satisfied. I made it in Philly, as a pro wrestler, like I dreamed, but that was just the start. I made it here to Japan, where I always wanted to be, but that was just another step in the journey. The moment I'm good with where I'm at and what I've done, is when I leave my boots in the ring. If that means management gets pissed, that's ok. If that means people think I've become some sort of a diva, that's their problem. I'm just trying to do whatever I can to be the best GPC I can be.

Dave: Fair answer.

GPC: Now, I got a question about your own issues. Someone gotta ask this to you, and I'm here. So Dave, don't cut me off here, I got to ask this. You know where I'm going. I respect the hell out of your ratings, I'm always shooting for 100% as much as I am the win, it's the gold standard for a real performer. But man, that rating for the Furis match...

Dave: Not this again...

GPC: You know how bad that was! Not the match, but your rating! That was legit M-O-T-Y quality stuff! The whole story of Furis coming back, Henry doing his creepy thing, the top notch action in the ring, and you know it, you gotta stop hating on the managers so much!

Dave: Ok, I didn't tell you how to do your job, so I'd appreciate if you let me do mine!

GPC: Yeah, you're mad, aren't you?
