Granblue Fantasy: Versus DLC character trailers for Zooey, Soriz & Djeeta. So I saw you mentioned Granblue Fantasy: Versus about a month ago in the above post. Have you played it at all? It's a bit expensive on Steam but I put it on my Wishlist since another friend of mine expressed interest in it. It looks really cool - like an RPG with fighting game mechanics for the battles and an anime motif. |

Mortal Kombat 11 expansion dropping May 26th
The expansion is called "Aftermath" and includes a story that picks up IMMEDIATELY after the end of the main story campaign, so if you haven't played that original story beware of MAJOR PLOT POILERS in the following trailer

That is a really weird crossover. I wouldn't have been surprised to see WWE work with Namco/Tekken but SNK is a lot more niche in the U.S. so I'm very surprised that this is happening. Did Samurai Shodown really increase SNK's profile so much that they made it onto WWE's radar? If SNK is allowed to turn WWE wrestlers into "King of Fighters" style characters that would be pretty cool...and basically MUGEN 😁 Either that or Vince announces in 3 months that he's selling WWE to open up a Pachinko league partnered with SNK 🤦♂️

^I wouldn't be surprised if Xavier Woods or Asuka had influence with that given their successful careers as video game enthusiasts turned pundits.
I'm skeptical that the SNK team-up was a 1st choice (Namco and Capcom are much more well-known, particularly among their presumed target audience) but with their recent successes and having (to my knowledge) never partnered with anybody outside of other game devs, the timing was probably right for SNK to do something like this and their brand is well-known enough that it should benefit WWE in terms of getting eyes on the project.

How odd... Well, maybe this breathes life into my dream crossover of Tekken vs Indian Premier League cricket! Mortal Kombat vs Kids Baking Championship? Guilty Gear vs PGA! Bushido Blade vs. World Curling Federation? 😄 Dead or Alive already did a crossover with volleyball 😁 I'd play the hell out of that game!! Snap, Crackle, and Pop each work as assist players for the one of them that you choose. Tony the Tiger is basically a reskinned Alpha-era Sagat though. Kinda lazy on their part 😁 |

It's a 2v2 game but Tony the Tiger can only be selected as a solo fighter.....he's just that broken.

I keep reading this as "...between King of Fighters and Aleister from WWE" and getting really excited because Aleister Black would be awesome to use in a fighting game. Side note: my wife and I met him after an NXT show, and since my wife can talk to anyone and has a crush on his wife, she brought up his wife's Mortal Kombat fandom and they ended up BS'ing about Mortal Kombat for a few minutes. I didn't have nearly as much to say to him, but he was a super cool guy. |
