IGN has confirmed Terry Bogard!
Sorry for any of y'all hoping for Mars People, but I'm pretty excited for this.

I'm loving these crossovers. It's also making me wonder who will be announced as the next DLC (probably not for a while but still).
Are there any other major third-party companies that haven't been represented yet? Tecmo-Koei perhaps?

Supremely hyped for Terry Bogard, and hoping badly that the Buster Wolf ends up in there in some way. A Garou skin would be much welcomed, and why not, the "Fatal Cutie" version, too.
I've heard rumblings about Ryu Hayabusa for the last entry, which would be a good choice. I'm personally hoping for the Doom Marine, and with more DLC announced in the future, Doom 64 coming out on the Switch, Doom Eternal coming out later in the year, I don't think it's an impossible pipe dream.

I was talking to a coworker who is really into smash (and DOOM) and told her DOOM guy and Ryu would make great additions (she agreed, especially with DOOM guy, but was like Ryu who?). Sad to think that aside from appearances in DOA games, a fight against Jigglypuff and Kirby are really the only way gamers could see the legendary gaming ninja featured in a game anymore. ๐

Ryu Hayabusa would be awesome. Especially if they lean into NES-era stuff as far as his movement, specials and MUSIC are concerned. I know the modern incarnation probably gives them more to work with, especially with having been in a fighting game already, but I have a lot of memories of the NES games, plus I really love it when they can translate action-platform guys into the Smash format and make it feel right. I'm still insanely happy with the way they pulled off Simon Belmont, and I feel like NES Ryu would translate equally well.
Plus...the music, y'all. Those games had ludicrously good music. I'd pay the price of admission just to get those bgms professionally updated. (Seriously, go watch a longplay of Ninja Gaiden II and tell me that isn't some of the most rockin'-ass NES music you've ever heard.)
Of course, it's all just speculation as far as that goes, but...yeah. It'd be cool.

Very glad that Terry Bogard will be in Smash. He is one of the icons of SNK and the fighting game world.
There were a lot of Fatal Fury games available on SNES too.
Ryu Hayabusa is another great idea for Smash!

Wow, this is really cool: "Introducing, the NEOGEO Arcade Stick Pro! A fighting stick with 20 classic SNK fighters pre-installed!" So it has two uses: "1) Joystick Mode: In this mode, you can use the arcade stick normally by simply plugging it into a NEOGEO mini or PC. We guarantee a solid experience with this arcade stick. 2) Console Mode: In this mode, simply connect the stick via an HDMI cable into a TV and get ready to enjoy some of SNKโs finest fighting games. There are 20 pre-installed NEOGEO classics just waiting to be played." I love the idea here. I don't know how pricey it will be or what games are included (plz 2002:UM) but it's basically a portable NEOGEO fighting joystick that you can attach to any TV but also use for your PC SNK games!

Sounds cool, but yeah, what games are in? I bet Samurai Spirits and all that will be in with the new game being out now, but itโs hard to say. Garou would be a great addition... ๐บ๐

Garou would be a great addition... ๐บ๐ The more I think about it, they are probably not going to give us any games they can't replicate with their NEO GEO Mini system. So it's unlikely we'd get some of the modified versions of games: Like KOF 2002: UM. But we'll definitely get classic Samurai Spirits games and probably a lot of KOF games too. I'd guess KOF '94, '98, and maybe 2002 but not 2002: Unlimited Match as that was a modified version. Hopefully we get Fatal Fury 1, Fatal Fury Special, one of the Fatal Fury Real Bouts, and Garou. I'm hoping we get SNK vs. Capcom too!

"Hisame" translates to "rain of blood" and it's incorporated into his Super as he slices open his opponent and blood literally rains down as he's under the cover of his umbrella.
