Found out the hard way last night that QCF and similar motions in 2-D fighting games aggravate my thumb. I can't play Skullgirls for more than an hour before I need to stop. Strangely enough, I can play SoulCalibur for several hours without any issues.

Was just checking out Fighters Generation and noticed MORE DOA dlc costumes and stuff. Between DOA 5 and DOA 6, I wonder how much real world Zenny it would cost to pick it all up. I'd love to see a new Ninja Gaiden, but if it's going to be nickel and dimed to death like DOA by team Ninja, maybe I don't want it? I don't know if any other game has so shamelessly sold DLC crap like DOA.

^Fighters Generation? as in Frank whathisfacse?
holy crap, that site's ancient!
And yeah, I don't know what the final tally is but at one point, there was at least $800 USD worth of DLC for DOA5.
A bit ridiculous imo but whatever floats your boat (or finds your lost remote :P)

A bit ridiculous imo but whatever floats your boat (or finds your lost remote :P) Yeah, that ancient thing, I check it out from time to time, especially for Tekken news since THAT dude is a big fan. I always laugh when there’s an update pertaining to new DOA dlc. I used to like DOA games, they were fun, and I think the first to let you roll down stairs, smash through floors/walls into hidden areas. And who didn’t like fighting as Ryu Hyabusa Asuna dropping fools twisting suckas into knots with Bass! I don’t know where it went off the rails, maybe when Koei joined the fray? Ahh, there’s my remote!

I still regularly use Fighters Generation for pics and animated GIFS 😁
I really enjoyed Dead or Alive 1 on PSX and Dead or Alive 2 on Dreamcast. I thought the emphasis on grappling and countering made it stand out from the other 2D-plane, 3D-graphic fighters at that time.
I will always remember the quote on the bottom of the back of the box for Dead or Alive 1:
"Ryu Hayabusa: "The girls in this game are SO hot!" remains the funniest box quote ever to me 😁
I thought the early games had a good balance with a main focus on serious fighting with a little fan service. As the series continued, the fan service seemed to bounce onto center stage. I don't think that helped it be competitive against its more serious 3D competitors like Tekken and Soul Caliber: which became behemoths.

Super fire pro wrestling animation.
Aah sweet nostalgia! I was apart of that scene, and I think I have a few animations in that video as well. Too bad youtube pulled the music for this one.

Fight of Gods (yeah, the one where you can have Jesus fight Santa and Buddha) is still around, and dropped a couple reveal trailers recently: Tudi Gong: [/div] Susano'o: On the anime side, a sequel to My Hero One's Justice also has a trailer. It'll be on exhibit this weekend at New York Comic-Con:
