That was a great vid for me to end on. I think I have to go dark on MK coverage for a few days to avoid story spoilers and the like. That stuff is already being leaked and I like to see for myself before having someone carelessly blurt out important plot points.
Unfortunately, that probably means no YouTube too since videos like "TOP 10 SECRETS IN MK11" will invariably pop up before official release on Monday. >_<
Ah well, I guess I'll continue marching through Game of Thrones (still on season 2 lol)

Don't know if it's confirmed or not, but some alleged early data mining of Mortal Kombat II suggest we'll be seeing The Terminator, Spawn and Ash Williams as some of the DLC characters. All I can say is:
Take my money... oh wait, I bought the premium edition, they already took it and I'm getting all the DLC characters already.

Glad to see MK XI is getting good reviews, IX was great and I played the crap out of it. One shitty thing about high profile games is there is NOTHING left as a surprise. The story, the fatalities, the characters, even potential DLC characters, and the spoilers are ubiquitous. Itās almost impossible to avoid spoiling at least a few details of a new game, but MK seems particularly tough to keep from its rabid fans! Canāt wait to see what crit club people have to say about the game! Ash (Ketchum?! Imagine throwing down a pokeball, charmander comes out all cute, and INCINERATES your opponent!) and Spawn would be great additions to MK! I could see Ash kind of like Jill Valentine in marvel vs capcom, āfireballingā zombies, but instead it cold be skeletons in armour, and his finisher could be your opponent in a cabin in the woods, dizzied, with the first person view of the demon chick thing running through the woods in fp view to the cabin for the fatality! |

Ash Williams is a great character (and was especially hilarious in Telltale's Poker Night at the Inventory 2 with characters like Sam and Max) but now I really want to see Ash Ketchum in a Pokemon game!! There would be like two fatalities: 1: A summon Fatality where you could choose anywhere from 3-5 specific Pokemons to destroy the opponent. Mimikyu would either cause the opponent to die of sadness or effectively be like Shang Tsung in MK 2 š 2: Ash would trap his enemy in a giant Pokeball which would slowly shrink š¬ |

I remember seeing a video some years ago that was basically, what if Smash Bros had fatalities. Ash (or rather, the Trainer) had one where he trapped the opponent in a regular Pokeball then stomped on it. Opening it again revealed a bloody mess.
And yeah, I think it's actually canon that it would kill someone to gaze upon Mimikyu's true form. Like that one Kabal fatality from MK3.

I'm not sure how Scorpion would be affected though. Isn't he already dead? Can his soul be killed too?

I'd say if Shang Tsung can still take his soul, then Mimikyu can destroy it. Not even undeath can save Scorpion.

Yeah, that's pretty awesome. I wouldn't go so far as to call Ukyo a favorite (I was never any good with him) but he's one of those characters that just HAS to be in any sort of SS relaunch or crossover or whatever. He's utterly iconic and his style is amazing. I'd lament if he were absent but he's obviously not and looking quite awesome for a dying man lol (retcon maybe?)
