Yeah, that's a good roster. Some people will complain that 16 characters isn't enough but for bringing a franchise back from the brink of death, I think it's just fine. You KNOW there will be at least 4 more DLC characters, presuming that the game sells well enough (I think it will). As for the newcomers, Darli and Kurama look awesome. Wu-Ruixiang is kind of a basic design (her hair is neat) but she summons a HUMONGOUS dragon leg to stomp on people so she's that's an automatic win. xD

The newcomers seem to either fit in really well visually or stand out in an interesting way. I like Darli's design and Wu looks like she's going to be a very technical fighter. I love Jubei's glance in the trailer, he can't even be bothered to fully turn his head. Total bad ass 😎 Anyone hear about preorder bonuses for this? |

Looks like we'll be getting little character videos up until the release of Samurai Shodown and they just released Nakoruru.
Justin Wong has also decided he's going to learn Samurai Shodown.

Nakoruru's ultimate move looks pretty violent and bloody! Even she looks sad about it 😓
Also, the video had a "partial nudity" rating but I don't get why. Were they referring to the hawk!? 😁

Kitana and D'Vorah "reveal" trailer
They really played up the whirlwind factor of Kitana's fans which is cool (and probably their excuse not to use Fujin lol) while D'Vorah is......more of a disgusting bug this time around than in her MKX debut. Her "molt" move looks cool but I can't see it actually being of any use in a fight. That damn cocoon though.......so awesome, yet so wonderfully creepy. Also appears that her lair or whatever is one of the stages. It looks predictably gross lol.

I just want to know how you can control the bug that pops out of D'Vorah!! That is pretty amusing. I also want to cut that bug in half with Baraka's blades or spear it to the wall with Scorpion.
Kitana looks great and has a real sense of personality. I always enjoyed using her in MK2 - in fact she was the character I could most rely upon to beat Kintaro and Shao Kahn. They both just walked into the fan move like idiots and I had a nifty three hit combo. I like how she has evolved so differently than Mileena.

That top 5 vote from Dengeki isn't too surprising, especially number 1 in Iroha, since she's probably in that rare Morrigan in Darkstalkers spot of being a very attractive character that's more popular in stuff outside the franchise she came from, to the point where some people wouldn't know what series she came from, but really like her.
I'm not too high on Mina from a story perspective though, and slightly from a gameplay standpoint, neither. She's similar to Iroha in certain ways in terms of popularity, though.

Another SamSho character trailer dropped today and this time it's.....a newcomer?
Here's Darli Dagger (who's totally not named after a Jimi Hendrix song :P)
Unsurprisingly she looks like a power type. Kind of standard for characters with HUGE weapons but it's interesting that she has sawing, hammering, and DRILLING moves. People who thought she was a pirate have been sadly mistaken, as she's actually a shipwright and her moveset shows (though I can think of another fictional fighting shipwright who is also a pirate.....SUPER!!!! lol).
I'm wondering if they didn't "censor" her finishing move at the end by not showing the complete aftermath of the attack. The only possible outcome for that is "raining blood." Eat your damn hearts out, Slayer!
