Hi I've often wondered over the last few days if I'm playing this game right or wrong.
The jist of it is I deleted my save for World and recently I've been slowly creating edits. However I've only been making small Junior Heavyweights with different styles(Technical, Junior, American, Luchador and Heel).
And I feel happy continuing this trend, to be honest when I was a wrestling fan about 20 years ago I only really enjoyed the lighter weighted wrestlers anyway.
And when I sim matches I only enjoy the Juniors as I can make them a lot more unpredictable and exciting to watch.
Feel free to take the piss or give a pleasant answer as both will be appreciated.

If it means anything, I don't know how you could be playing the game wrong. You're making what you like to watch, and there's nothing wrong with that.

If you're having fun, you're "playing it right."

Fire Pro Wrestling is about making the game your game.
It has always been connected to watching your edits duke it out and if you like nothing but junior heavy edits that’s totally ok. Make those memories.

Honestly if you have the most fun watching all your guys do standing face slaps for 50 minutes thats what you should do. It's a little weird, but you do you. A bunch of juniors sounds like a good time, keep doing whatever keeps the game fun.

Yes, you are doing it wrong. Doing any of the following automatically qualifies you for reeducation at the RNG camp:
- playing the matches yourself
- making edits for fun - watching matches for fun and not meticulously documenting results, finishes, rating, matchtime and number of irish whips used for further research - using the default wrestlers as a base for your edits - using wrestlers from the workshop as a base for your edits (that's stealing and requires written permission and a payment everytime you book them in a match) - simming at a higher difficulty than 4 - turning rope break on - using Panther style Etc.

Are those Fire Pro Dad Jokes? Seriously, Panther style edits deserve a painful cleansing Regarding to OP, man, I'm making a videogame-series-comics-toys e-Fed for my friends. I watched an incredible match where Donkey Kong was wiping the floor with Duke Nukem, then suddenly Shadow the Hedgehog ran to interfere the match, and Dante from Devil May Cry helped Kong to get a fair match. Do you seriously believe there is something like playing the game "right"? ...I should consider showing the fed here.

You forgot using tier three skills on multiple edits. That's almost as bad as playing the matches yourself!

Thank you to you all for answers/advice/fire pro dad jokes. And maybe now I'll never delete my save ever again.
I'm off to steal someone's edit make it my own, make the edit spam victory rolls on level 4 difficulty.
In all seriousness, I've had a very enlightening weekend now in both my personal life and now my Fire Pro one too. So thank you all, and thank this community, I like it here.

Great. Now I have to get popcorn out of my teeth. In all seriousness though, art is subjective and Fire Pro Wrestling World is just a canvas in which you can express it. Whether you like super powerful god like edits crushing all resistance beneath their stats or you just want to make edits that gel well with one another and put on classics, it's how you make it to fit your needs. Just avoid in general stuff that offends people like racism, piracy, etc. and you'll be just fine. If any criticism is had about edit making, it usually revolves around edit submission guidelines for community events like the March Madness Tournament (shameless plug) or something else like that so that we can achieve the best entertainment we can within a respectable rule set.

Just avoid in general stuff that offends people like racism, piracy, etc. and you'll be just fine. Lucy Cutlass and her faction (boat) of pirate wrestlers are very upset with that remark! ☠ 🏴 However, they aren't completed in FPW so they are just going to have to suffer in silence. (At least until International Talk like a Pirate Day) But seriously, as to the original post - I am really glad to hear that you are enjoying FPW so much, wetdogsmell. If you have found a way to enjoy the game, you are not doing anything wrong with who or how you are playing or simming. Fire Pro is meant to simulate ANY style of wrestling that you want and I see edit making as a means to an end to entertain the audience: you. If your edits work the way that you want to put on good matches, no "arbitrary" rules matter. They are just a means to an end for your enjoyment. Don't ever let match ratings detract from enjoying a match either since the game may be looking for something specific that clashes with what you enjoy. If you're having fun, you won :) Just don't use 120:200:50 as an RGB color value or else your edits will stop winning grapples.

Some people make superheroes or TV characters and have them fight each other. Some people download a million real life characters and fantasy book everything. Some people make weird, Lynchian Twitch shows and spend inordinate amounts of time on production values and creating intricate, insane stories... You do you. Enjoy the game the way you do. That's what makes Fire Pro awesome.

And again thank you for advice, I now feel my mind is now at ease. Don't get me wrong I'll probably make a couple of heavys for my comedy based project inspired by holiday camp and small touring wrestling promotions based here in the UK.
