So finally it is available on steam for pc...im very excited and looking forward to play it when i'll comeback home but ive a question.
Since i've bought the original firepro world in early access on 2017, then the njpw dlc....this promoter dlc should be free or not for me?

How anyone reached that conclusion is beyond me. I dunno, it doesn't seem crazy far-fetched considering on PS4 there was a season pass to buy and if you aren't entirely acclimated to this stuff could perhaps assume buying the DLC prior meant that. No, there isn't a PC season pass, there is on PS4, but if you haven't been following the game super closely, seeing people talking about their "season pass" could be confusing. |

Guys, if you like the DLC, make sure to give it a positive review on Steam. The 5 people who didn't have patience to wait the extra gew hours already gave it a negative review and it is crucial at this point.
Criticism is fine, review bombing for no real reason isn't.

Not a big deal to most, but I noticed they toned down the sensitivity a bit on the triggers for switching between stables and promotions. This is very much welcomed for me, as before, it was just too fast to be practical. I think I halfway noticed this while fireproin' a bit ago By halfway, I mean it occurred to me that I was thinking "goddamnit" a lot less when going through stables. Thought maybe I'd just gotten used to the sensitivity more, but if they actually did tone it down, that's great Unrelated, but I also noticed the text on the cancel/okay buttons when "overwriting" an edit is in Japanese, weirdly enough |

Sadly, it seems a lot of people really was expecting the mode to hit the digital shelves as Spike promised. I mean, I won't advocate for them, it's scummy to bomb something it's gonna be delivered anyway and really shows how people can be crybabies for waiting a little more but... eeh... I mean I understand them. It's invested money after all. What I DO see though is some people really believe this mode is gonna be the End-all-of-Booking simulators and platforms, which is a mistake. |

FFS, SCS Arena isn't a rural gymnasium. ;)
You know, toxic positivity is no better right? There's lot of legit reasons to be unhappy with this DLC. It's flimsy and rushed, and not what was talked about by the director himself while talking to us on the stream and pushing it back for 14 months. It's nowhere near worth the 22$ I paid for it, and I'm happy I refunded it.
We don't have to make a giant battle between 2 opinions.
It's not about being impatient. 14 months ago he sat during a live stream talking this mode up and said they were going to delay it to implement some of our feedback, and a certain features. Then at the last minute dump this thing that's just a straight port of the GBA mode, and still has the limitations he specifically said he wanted to get rid of. Then I plan my day around the launch time, run out and buy 40$ worth of steam cards, only to not get the product when they announced it was available several times and then went radio silent for 13 hours. Then watching people stream it and seeing those limitations he said he was going to remove from the already "near finished" mode while sitting there with a beer in his hand and tweeting over the next few days. What the hell was he doing the last 14 months?
That's a valid account of what happened. No one (in the community who keeps up with FPW) had unrealistic expectations. He set the expectations when he was running his mouth. There's not 20$ of content or value here. That was all bullshit, and I'm not supporting it.
You're also allowed to go ahead and enjoy the mode for what it is. But don't push these issues under the rug. I still love FPWW obviously, and I'm looking forward to the next Junior Heavyweight DLC, whenever it comes out, as he made a comment yesterday about changing the date.

Yeah, it's very dissapointing as a 20$ DLC. Seems like even 10$ would've been at least fine. Discount maybe? Nah, they did throw the towel on this one. Maybe I'm just not that pissed since I haven't bought it yet and in my localities (Chile) it's really dirt cheap (like 10$ dollars less) cuz' of monetary conversions and no taxes. But I completely understand why some of you are refunding it. I mean I still think review bombing it negatively is goddamn salty (I despise Steam's review system). |
