Yeah. Judging by the wave of vitriol on the Steam forums about no promoter and the patch converting shit to Japanese, it's a safe bet that stuff isn't working right now.

I'm half and half about the pick 6 wrestlers to start thing....
On one hand, I'd love to have full rosters.
On the other hand, I guess it's an original game mechanic....
Nah, I hope Carl blows the shit out of this and makes it no limit.

i was already reading there was a way to select more than just 6. also if that was the limit id imagine there are unlockables like the gba motw version which gives you more freedom after you beat it

i'm beginning to suspect the issue with it not activating may also coincide with the issue where the game wouldn't recognize any DLC when it was launched in offline mode, or even from a desktop shortcut.
not that i'm an expert, just a hunch!

I have the same bug that i had from the beginning, every match ends with 100% ratings, when i asked to spike if theay can do something the answer is still the same :"Thank you for contacting us and reporting the issue! We are working on improving the game and appreciate your feedback. We are actively working on the issue and hope to have it resolved soon.".....with this kind of problem, fire promoter mode is not fun.moreover you can't use your own ring,no entrance music, limit to downloadable ring immages, they told that they are focused more on PS4 than steam relase, but i'm a little disappointed.don't get me wrong, the game is amazing,i have both Steam and Ps4 relases, but i expected a little more.

Okay, I just loaded Steam up again about 5 minutes ago and it immediately downloaded the Fire Promoter DLC! The game is reading it as well. I'm in the mode about to "create data." Saji: "Yo, that's Droid's euphemism for smashing Drake's hard drive" 💻 I have no idea if I will experience any other glitches (related to DLC or to the tag patch) that I've heard about tonight but the game is at least recognizing the DLC so I suppose I'm in better shape than I was a few hours ago. I'll report if I notice any issue with the Promoter mode or regular matches (especially tag). I have to say - despite having a woefully inadequate roster, I'm really pumped to try Fire Promoter!! 😀

Looks like it's working for me now. Checking it out now.
Is there a guide to what the different Promotion Styles mean?

Provided nothing has changed about how styles work since FFPW: Strong - Strikes and submissions, more realism-based. Old New Japan. King's Road - Big moves and dramatic nearfalls. 90s All Japan. Stoic - MMA and K-1. Showman - American wrestling with lots of taunts and such. Hardcore - Hardcore matches and death matches. Lucha - Fast moving, high flying, CMLL. Free - This one I never quite got.

Anyone notice an extra file in their FPW save directory for Steam?
There's a file called "fp_savedatalist.dat" which hasn't been there before in addition to the usual "savedata.dat".
The game also made a backup for me of the pre-patch or pre-DLC save.

Not a big deal to most, but I noticed they toned down the sensitivity a bit on the triggers for switching between stables and promotions. This is very much welcomed for me, as before, it was just too fast to be practical.
