What's the point of Birthdays in Fire Pro anyway? Just seeing it kinda bothers me, especially if the wrestlers have inaccurate birthdays (real wrestlers of course.) Is there a mod to remove birthdays or do I need to stop caring about birthdays to begin with?

Just put "unknown" in the birthdays section if it bothers you that much.

There doesn't appear to be a point to the birthdays at all. My general rules of thumb are all sexy wrestlers are born on 6/9/69, demonic wrestlers are 6/6/66, patriotic Americans on 7/4/76, and like all stoners and hippies are totally 4/20, man.

I use birthdays for dates of creation. For example, if I made an edit today, the date would be January 27th. The year is typically in the 1990s as most of my edits are in their 20s.

The birthday part of the edit information/profile to me serves 2 purposes:
1. To ensure accurate birthdates of edits based on real life wrestlers, celebrities, historical figures, etc. Seems obvious, but sometimes the edit maker doesn't care. Regardless, it shouldn't interfere with your enjoyment of the game. More of an OCD thing.
2. To add flavor to original edits by accompanying them with an age that people can relate to. A good example of this is Denizen's Wataru Nakajima. A solid edit by itself, the addition of a very early birthday to his profile (1950-something) shows his experience and makes him a fan favorite when he mixes it up with the younger edits. Speaking of which, an edit born in the late 90s to almost 2000 makes for a solid age group of young up-and-comers that fans can get behind.

They should age in the promoter mode as well.
You can use birthdays to add a bit of flavour to people, or hint at their personalities. Use the zodiac signs that lines up with their personality. Or use gimmick dates. My Iris Whipper is born on 3/17. A patriot for US/Canada can be born on July 4 or 1st respectively.

They're there for flavor, same as the height/weight values.
Why would you want to remove them exactly? XD

Fire Pro Edit Birthday Guide
Significant Dates
You can choose a significant date if it lines up with your edit’s gimmick. Are they really patriotic? Choose their country’s birthday. July 4th for the US. July 1st for Canada, and so on. Irish? Drunk? Drunken Irish? Choose Saint Patrick’s day. A paranormal gimmick? Choose Halloween (Oct 31) or The Mexican Day of the Dead (Nov 2nd).
Zodiac Signs
Choose a zodiac sign that most closely resembles your edit’s personality, and then pick a random date in it’s range.

The Maikeru and OfficerBrightly Method
I brought this subject up in twitch one night. This is where Maikeru and OfficerBrightly let me in on their secret method. It’s brilliant, but also so simple that you’re bound to ponder “why didn’t I think of that?” Their method? Pick a random date and move on with your life. Simple. Time tested. Works every time.
The Coward’s Way Out
If you scroll the year setting all the way down past 1900, it sets the birthday to UNKNOWN. This is great for mysterious characters.

I like the Maikeru and OfficerBrightly Method but I'm too obsessive. I just scour Wikipedia for birth dates. Maybe the one downside of Cagematch, I get pretty much all of the bio stuff from there. I like the star signs idea too

I initially thought this was the new "Community Birthdays" thread but instead find an attempt to erase Birthdays from the entire game! Without Birthdays, how can these wrestlers have been BIRTHED!?
Is this an attempt to create wrestlers through mitosis? Priority logic is complicated enough 💥🧠💥
But less seriously, here's what i do 😀
1) If the character has a specific gimmick that can be tied to a calendar date, I make that their Birthday.
2) For every other character, their Birthday is the day I initially put their edit in the game or initially think them up. That's what Timberwolf does as well and I find it makes the most sense to me for the majority of my edits.
My character's Birthdays have registries online so feel free to buy them all gifts at the right time of year.
Ralph Ferguson is registered at Boston Market 🍗🥔
