Question about "Critical" like message

I was playing last night and I hit my opponent with Big Punch maneuver and a message (similar to the critical message) flashed on my screen, I think it was in red text. Has anyone else experienced this? What does it mean and how is it triggered? 

The punch was amazing and it dropped my opponent.

Did it by chance say this?



If so, that means you stole your opponent's finisher. If you press L1+[ ]+X or whatever the keyboard equivalent is to that, you will steal your opponent's finisher move if successful.
