As of now, I'm going to try to run this next week, on Thursday and Friday as a two night extravaganza. Mainly depends if I can get the promos and setup right over the duration, I'd rather run everything then and move along, but for the biggest show in the Office's history, I'm not going to do it halfheartedly.

On Sunday night, a video message was sent out from the desk of Morgan "Midas" Matthews, addressed to the members of his team for Lariats and Legislators #8. The message is now available to the public, as follows:
---
Morgan "Midas" Matthews: You are all the selected elite. The Superior Seven who will prove for once and for all that change is inevitable, that those with the will make the way. Each one of you, whether you have associated with me for some time, or are joining now, are an essential piece of my puzzle.
Midas: Shaka Corbin, the Mask Hunter, the Bane of Blackrose. You have impressed me very much as of late. And now it is time you demonstrate just how impressive you can be in the ring as you bury that insufferable Canadian.
Midas: Young Blood, I will admit that your image does not necessarily square with my preference. You are far from clean cut, far from being an impressive athletic specimen. But what you are, is ruthless, brutal and aggressive. I have the utmost confidence you will not just bring an end to the tiresome reign of the Tiny Giant, but perhaps to his career as well.
Midas: And the crown jewel of Phoenix Rising, the Gatherer of Gold herself, the Black Dragon. Some say you have a tough challenge ahead, facing Nishimura Endo. Certainly, he has embarrassed me in the past, in how he defeated the woman who was my own centerpiece, Crusher Honda. But I believe you are better than Ms. Honda. You are stronger. Tougher. More focused. And you will win this match, and finally send Endo to the retirement he should have taken years ago.
Midas: And Colossus Rhodes. I only have this to say. You will defeat Santana. You will return with the Dominican Golden Championship. And you will give me the ability to finally merge that waste of an institution into a greater whole. There are no other options.
Midas: Mr. Wyatt, I finally release you to live up to your mouth and your ambition. I trust that you will reward me accordingly by backing up every single one of those ill-advised speeches. I trust that I will not regret accepting your assistance in such a vital operation. And I trust that you will be ready to take the TIPWF in a new and improved direction once you defeat the Cowboy. I hope you understand the pressure your incessant actions have placed upon your shoulders. Because it would be most unfortunate for you, if you do anything but exceed my expectations here.
Midas: Mr. Rahman, I know your doctors want you to wait longer to heal. But time waits for no man. And I have need of your skills at this point in time. Beat Mutombo. Humiliate the top ranked man in the Office. And take his belt. Do this, and I promise that you will be respected and honored. You will be seen as a trusted and essential member of my organization. And you will be able to compete on your own terms.
Midas: Finally...
Stanford Bradley: Yeah, it's your friendly neighborhood Stanford, in the flesh!
Midas: Go ahead, you have my permission to finish this out.
Stanford: Right on, Mr. Midas! The Firecracker thinks she wants a piece of the Super Stud Stanford, but she can't handle this hot bod, baby! She's too used to old tired, worn out, paper pushing politicians like Senator Asshole Phillips! So if she steps into the ring, and I bet she doesn't even show up, but if she does, I bet your bottom dollar that she passes out on the friggin' spot! Like just drops down and sprawls all over the mat!
Stanford: And then, when she wakes up, and everyone's all up in arms, she'll find out, just like all the others, that the time for the Senatorial Office is done, over, finished, finito, kaput, evaporated, just plain gone! And then something a hundred times better will take its place! Golden Touch Promotions will be the light to the future, and Morgan Matthews will be the brilliant light bringer! So yeah, all you fellow people on the Midas Express, let's go out there and make this thing happen!

The Senator's Message to Morgan Matthews (Note, this promo is a behemoth monstrosity. Just a brief warning for anyone who clicks on this spoiler) The Beltway Full Contact Martial Arts Center has served as the headquarters and main training center of the Senatorial Office since its inception, with the main ring in the gym even serving as the venue for many of the organization's early events. And now, it stands as the meeting place for Senator Steve Phillips and his ragtag crew of stalwarts, all gathered around the outside of the main ring, while Phillips himself stands in the squared circle, with "Textbook" Tim Dwight, Anthony Kalb and Kevin Fitsharris behind him.
Senator Steve Phillips: We stand now on the precipice of our ultimate victory, or on the verge of our final defeat. When Morgan Matthews made his offer to take the Office to the next level, I knew it would be an agreement that would come with some drawbacks.
Anthony Kalb: Cough, cough, toldyouso, cough, cough...
Senator: Ahem.
Kalb: Sorry, bossman, couldn't resist.
Senator: Anyway, it was apparent that it was a deal that would be made with some drawbacks, but I saw no alternative at the time, if I were to fully realize my vision for the Office. I knew it was a Faustian bargain, but I held out hope that over time, Mr. Matthews and I would reach a mutual understanding.
Kevin Fitsharris: Nooooope.
Senator: Ahem, again.
Fitsharris: Yeah, I know.
Senator: No, it is good to be reminded that no matter where I stand, I am as imperfect as any other mortal. I do not glimmer like gold in the light of the sun. But what I have always wanted, was for the Senatorial Office to function as the shining city on the hill for the professional wrestling community, to bring together a diverse range of promotions from different styles and different regions under one overarching banner. Not to plunder and dominate the individual groups, but to accentuate their positive qualities and promote their talent. It was our shared vision that created something special. An alliance of equals, not a centralized dictatorship. But Mr. Matthews had always set his sights on something simpler. He recognized that there was vast untapped potential within the Office. But instead of allowing everyone to return his investments within their own terms and structure, he wanted to eradicate them, salt the earth, and take only what he pleased from the arrangement. Until recently, he masked his true intentions, but now that the end draws nigh, we can all clearly see what he intends to accomplish.
Senator: These are the stakes for which you fight. Either we win, and Mr. Matthews departs in an ignominious huff, or he emerges victorious, and the Office ceases to be. Do you take any pride in your own home organizations? Then now is the time to take a stand. Do you wish to take charge of your own destiny, or do you want a plutocrat deciding it for you? There is no question that the seven individuals I see here have made their choice. It was not an easy one for some of you, and I respect that all the more. I could not wish for have any others stand in for any of your spots, however, and it does me proud that you have chosen my team.
Senator: Canadian Grizzly, I am aware that you lost your mantle, the Great Grizzly of the North, in your battles in Blackrose Wrestling. Morgan Matthews believes that the actions of Shaka Corbin made him a natural champion for his side. But I see something different. I see a man who takes as much pride in his nation as I do in mine. I see a true patriot for his homeland, a celebrated craftsman in the ring, and a Canadian who became one of the most popular members of Santana Family Wrestling even as you constantly denigrated the Dominican Republic in comparison to your beloved Canada. You have lost before. But you have more to gain. And I believe you have it within yourself to do just that.
Canadian Grizzly: It is not right to stand here without the head of the Grizzly on my head! It is not right that Shaka Corbin mocks my symbol of Canada! But I will show him for once and for all that it is not the easy wins that define a man! The peerless Wayne Gretsky said that "you miss 100% of the shots you never take," but Shaka, I am not going to back down because I lost, I will step up and I will take my shot, and I will take my mantle back, and I will win the first match for the Senatorial Office and Santana Family Wrestling! Even if it isn't in Canada...but that doesn't matter. Because a true Canadian knows that his people are not just up north, but are all around the planet. They may not know the unmatched joy of being from Canada, but they are my brothers and sisters anyway! Salvador Sosa knows! Killer King Jones knows! Macchiato knows! They are my brothers in arms, they are my people! And my dear Megan knows very much that I want this win for everyone, to prove that the good will of Canada crosses all borders, even down into Washington D.C. Senator Phillips, I will win this for you, because you believe in me, you will believe in the true glory of Canada, and maybe I can share some of it with America, too.
Senator: Thank you, Grizzly, there is no doubt that when America and Canada join forces, that we can accomplish great things. Now Tomas, you and I, we have not always gotten along all that well, have we?
Tomas: no, tomas has not been on the same side as the politician who has wrestled, but the tiny giant knows now that although he has been held back, the toucher of gold will hold him back more. AND TOMAS IS NOT TO BE HELD BACK!
Senator: Indeed you are not. While you joined forces with Josh Belmonte's Harbingers in the past, I will not hold that against you in the present. Because while we may not see eye to eye very often, you cannot question that I have done anything but provide opportunity after opportunity for you. From the Luxurious Purple Jacket, to the Tournament of Death, to Monday Night Wrestling, to Evergreen on Thursday, I have never been disappointed in sending you off around the Critical Alliance. And you have never come back without something of worth, have you?
Tomas: tomas wants to know if tomas wins and the king of charisma and unity loses, can tomas win the spot of the number one?
Senator: I will take that under consideration. And in fact, I believe I will allow that to happen. But do not think I hope for it to happen.
Tomas: TOMAS WILL WIN! AND TOMAS WILL NOT BE HAPPY IF A MEMBER OF THE TEAM OF TOMAS LOSES! EVEN IF IT HELPS TOMAS WIN WHAT TOMAS HAS ALWAYS WANTED TO WIN FOR TOMAS!
Senator: The Tiny Giant dost protest too much, methinks. But in all seriousness, I can think of few better men to be on my side, as I know all too well how awful it is to deal with you on the other one, Tomas. Do not worry about anything but defeating Young Blood. He is not to be underestimated...but you never looked past any foe in the past.
Senator: Now, Nishimura Endo, you are a man of few words. But Mr. Nobunaga here will be happy to translate for you if you have anything to say.
Endo nods his head, looking over at Nobunaga, who stands next to him, an attentive look on his face.
Senator: They said you were done. That retirement was the only option. That you had never reached your true potential. But then you defeat someone you were never supposed to beat. Crusher Honda fell below your feet. And then the mighty Mongolian, Tarkhan the Mangler lost to you. Few people have ever shown your force of will, Mr. Endo. And you will need every bit of it when you face the Black Dragon.
Mr. Nobunaga(translating for Nishimura Endo): I do not fear her. Every person they say to fear, I do not fear. Because fear is early death. And I die only on my terms. Not for terms of anyone else! Black Dragon wants my gold, she must take it! And I will make it very tough!
Senator: I do not doubt that, Mr. Endo. I have seen what havoc the Black Dragon can wreak. She can turn a match on its head with a single move, no matter how close to defeat she may seem. And if you allow her to build any momentum, she is tougher to stop than the eruption of a volcano or an incoming tsunami. She is a force of nature. But if one is to defeat a force of nature, one must find a person who has made his name resisting nature at its very essence. And I believe you are that man, Mr. Endo. Your force of will is nothing short of awe inspiring. Let it be so when you step into the ring with her.
Senator: Felix, you have the greatest size difference of anyone to overcome here. But even so, I believe that Colossus Rhodes will find that he is at an even greater disadvantage. Because while he fights to destroy, you fight to preserve. Where he is an intruder, you are defending your home, your family, your legacy. And a man who has more to fight for is a man who will fight harder.
Felix Santana Junior: There is no doubt that this is a match I must win. They do not just want to beat me, to take my title, to humiliate my family, to rip us from our home, to erase our company from history, to take us all away from our island, no, that is not enough for Midas and Colossus. They want to do all those things, and they also want to break my neck! You saw what they did to Salvador Sosa! You saw it! That big lug slammed him down on his neck like he was a little child! They screwed him out of his rightful belt and put it back around my waist in shame! I have never forgotten that humiliation! I lost fair and square, and yet, this, this money man is taking the lineage of my beloved belt and throwing it down the toilet! He just says that Salvador's win is nothing, so I have the belt back! And I could do nothing but hold on until he comes back! This belt was won fair and square! I have defended it fair and square! I have never resorted to trickery or thuggish behavior to keep it! And this Midas, he treats my belt like a toy! He treats my family like we are nothing but pawns to be moved around his big golden chessboard! Well, I have a few words to say about that! We are not going to move to Texas, no offense, Cowboy.
Cowboy Johnston: None taken, buddy!
Felix Junior: We are not your doormats, we are not your possessions! We are the Santana family! We are proud Dominicans! We are happy to wrestle anywhere on our own terms, and the Senatorial Office has always gone out of its way to help us with that! You, all you want is to take us away and run us into the ground! And I will not let that stand! Just as I will not let your big stupid giant stand! After I teach him the truth of the Santana style, he will know that all that bulk does not work for him, it works against him, and you will see that when he is sucking wind and I am running him into the mat! All that money of yours, Midas, it may buy you a rich office, two golden whores at your side, mercenaries who do your bidding, but it does not give you any respect! Respect is earned the hard way, the right way, and I will demonstrate how a life lived on those terms is superior to a life bought on yours!
Senator: May I simply say that I cannot add upon those words? Because I will say just that. However, Mr. Johnston over here has been chomping at the bit, so to say, as I can see.
Cowboy: That ah have, Senator, that ah have! Yah know, all too damn long, ah've been bitin' mah tongue, sittin' 'round, waitin' for this here moment! The moment that ah can speak mah mind 'bout all the bull that ah've heard spewin' outta that damn blasted mouth o' Doc Wyatt! An' let mah say this right here, right now! Doc, yah dress real fine, like yah goin' to a weddin' or sumthin! You look like yah think yer shit don't stink, if yah know what ah mean! An' that's the better part! 'Cause when yah open yer big flappin yap, it jist plain hurts! It hurts mah ears real bad to hear all that garbage! Straight stinkin' garbage! Over an' over, "where's Cowboy, why ain't Cowboy givin' me a match, Cowboy's scared!" All that stupid stuff, it's enough t' make a man go insane just listenin' to it! So yah talked, and yah talked, and yah got yerself this here match! An' I ain't mad that we got this match! 'Cause this finally, finally gives mah a real chance to smash yer head right off those skinny ass shoulders it sits on! Yer time of reckonin' done come home right now, Doc, an' ahm gonna bring it when ah step into that there ring!
Cowboy: But that ain't all! No sir! Because gettin' this match, yah just had to step on over to Midas's side. An' while ah cain't fault a man fer doin' some stupid stuff t' get a title match, that ain't one of those things ah forgive easily. Talk your stuff, ah can pull up afterwards, an have a drink with ya! But sign on with that malignant piece o' human cancer, an' ah promise ya that I ain't gunnin' to win this match! Ah tell ya that I wanna beat you right into that mat, an' send yah to the hospital! Then Doc, yah can talk to yer fellow doctors an' have a good ol' time for the next six months rehabbin' that neck of yours while ah walk away fresh an' easy with mah good ol' TIPWF Lone Star Heavyweight title!
Senator: Now, I personally do not wish any injury upon our opponents, no matter how irritating or reprehensible they may be. But I do not believe either of those terms describe your opponent, Mr. Mutombo.
Jean-Pierre Mutombo: No, Mr. Senator, they most certainly do not describe how I would speak of my friend, Mr. Ibrahim Rahman! It is sad to me that Ibrahim has to deal with the contract that he had to sign, because that was the only way that he could get the notice to be wrestling on the world stage. But do not fear for your victory, Senator Steve Phillips! Because I, Jean-Pierre am not going to let my friendship with Ibrahim become an impediment to my focus! I have become more than just the African Superstar, more than just a Charisma King! I am still those things, yes, but I am now those and I am the Unifier! I am here to bring people together through the joy of professional wrestling! And I see no better way to do this than to become a man who wins on the biggest stage that he is given! Because it is only through the support of my wonderful fans that I am able to continue to do what I have done! And it will only be through their support and their energy that I will be able to do what I am going to do! And I promise that I will do everything that I possibly can do to win my match against Ibrahim Rahman, to bring happiness to the people of the Senatorial Office, of the Pan African Wrestling, of the PEWA, of the Santana Family, of the Wacker Drive, of the UCSS, of the TIPWF, of everyone who needs this win to continue to keep bringing people together in the name of professional wrestling, that is what I will win for, that is what will give Jean-Pierre the victory! And I will win to remind everyone that no matter how tough the dream is, one must never grow tired in the chase after the dream! That when one wants to do something, that they must never, ever, possibly give up no matter how much they may think they must do so! And I want to tell you, Mr. Tomas, that while I did not beat you for nothing, if I lose here, I do not wish to have my Number One any longer, and that if I must give it to someone, that you deserve it more than anyone else deserves it!
Tomas: this is very strange for me, i do not know what this is like, TOMAS DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THE THOUGHTS THAT GO THROUGH THE HEAD OF TOMAS!
JPM: There is no need to be upset! This is what true respect looks like, this is what it feels like! We are not on the other teams! And do not be too happy, because I will not lose my match, because the people will not let me fall! Let us both win, so that we may do what we must do! And it is a must that I say one last thing. Mr. Midas Matthews! I do wish to be very positive in my life and my words, but you make it impossible for me to do so in all ways! Because you are a horrible human being! You want to shut down Pan African Wrestling because you say it is not making you money! But we are opening up a great new market, and we did not lose what you say we lost! I say that you are a liar! I say that you are everything that is wrong in wrestling! You do not understand the heart of the people! You do not understand the joy of competition! You are obsessed with money and money only, but I say that all those who care only about their numbers will hurt themselves most of all because their obsession with the money will only make them lose their money because they do not comprehend where that money comes from! You cannot fool the people forever, Mr. Midas, you will not fool them forever, and when we beat you, it is your time to go away, far away!
Senator: And I can hardly wait for that moment, Jean-Pierre. Well...this brings me to you, Aoife. There is nothing I can say to you now that we have not already spoken about ad infinitum. But I know well that you have a few choice words for Stanford Bradley, do you not?
Aoife Daley: Yeah. He can go die in a fire. That good enough for you, Steve?
Senator: Splendid.
Aoife: Ok, I guess I have a bit more to say. Because I know that there is no chance under the sun that I get to actually have a match with Stanford Bradley without something stupid happening. So here's what I have to say to you, Midas. You want to screw with me any further, I'm not stopping at Stanford or any of your other stooges. You saw what I did to your little Mercenary in Exile. I knocked her the fuck out. Sent her back into exile and wrecked her life. Last I saw, she was getting her head kneed in fighting over some coat or something. She's pathetic. But you're a monster, the sort of monster that doesn't know his boundaries. You put my private life, Steve's private life out there in the public just to play a game. You tell your people to cripple their opponents for fun. So I know I'm not going to have an easy time at Lariats and Legislators. I know it, too well. But whatever tricks you pull out of your gilded sleeve, you better know this; I'm more than ready for them. And I might have a few cards of my own to play. So if you want to lay your hand on the table, I'm in. But you better know that whoever I hit with my Firecracker Punch, they tend to fold, real quick. No matter how big or tough they are, they all fall. Just like you're gonna fall, too, Midas. You'll fall too, it's just a matter of time...
Senator: I am sure that you heard that, Mr. Matthews. The time for games is over. The preliminaries have concluded, and the conclusion is close at hand. The Senatorial Office is not my fiefdom. It is an institution made up of a proud alliance of organizations that have found that their individual success can be enhanced through mutual cooperation. Just as the Office itself is improved by working within the Critical Alliance. And yet, this is the carefully arranged ecosystem that you wish to eliminate, Mr. Matthews. You care not for your employees, their hopes and endeavors are meaningless to one such as yourself. Morgan Matthews is only interested in consolidating his own power. And as Mr. Mutombo stated, your obsession will be your downfall. Your team is formidable to say the least. Seven of the strongest competitors in all of professional wrestling. But what is their motivation, I ask? You appeal to their base instincts. Offer them cash, title shots, standing in your inner circle. It is not hard to understand why someone would stand at your side. But I look at what appeals to the individuals on my own team, and it brings everything into focus. I see Canadian Grizzly seeking redemption. I see Tomas's desire for respect. I see Nishimura's stubborn force of will disallowing himself to lose. I see the protective urge of Felix, looking to stand for his family and people. I see the strong pride and loyalty of Cowboy. I see the goodwill and generous outreach of Jean-Pierre. And I know your rage, Aoife, will not be quenched until your fists have been exhausted. Mr. Matthews, your side fights for avarice. My people fight for ideals. And we will see for once, and for all, which is stronger, and that, sir, is nothing...but the truth.

We're one night away from the beginning of the Office's biggest two part spectacle to date! Witness the thrills as members of HONOO, ZIP, Wrestle Parade, La Guerra and OASIS enter the Office to compete with some of the best around, while UCSS, Wacker Drive Revival, TIPWF and PEWA titles are defended!
---
Lariats and Legislators #8: The War to End All Wars - Night One Thursday, May 9th, at the Pavilion Entertainment Center in Washington D.C. following Evergreen Wrestling
UCSS Openweight Title Gang Wong(C) vs. Andronicus Turner After defeating Thiago Gracie, Gang Wong seemed confident in taking on his top contender, Aoife Daley. However, just as that match was about to be signed, Big Banter Rory Banner invaded the press conference, and managed to introduce the UCSS to HONOO's heavy punching boxer, Andronicus Turner. Turner gained a UCSS contract and Openweight title shot on the spot, and now looks to pit his Detroit raised, Kronk Gym trained boxing against Gang Wong's dynamic Shaolin Kung Fu.
The Loop Championship Bout NBNF(X-Treme Kid, DUDE Smith and Emerald Santiago)(C) vs. The Internationale(Joseph Harpo, Stakhonovite Warrior and Sarita Jean Watkins) During the last month of Wacker Drive shows, the Internationale and NBNF have repeatedly clashed, with all out brawls and a memorable speech from Joseph Harpo where he accused the X-Treme Kid of "commercializing the worst excesses of an era that celebrated all the worst aspects of humanity." NBNF has proven itself strong with victories over many of Wacker Drive's top teams, but the Internationale may be motivated enough to redistribute The Loop in this match.
TIPWF Old Guard Championship Mr. Nobunaga(C) vs. Wataru Nakajima(ZIP Japan) Two old friends and rivals meet once again as Nobunaga, fresh off an Old Guard Championship win over the TIPWF commissioner, Walt Callahan, looks to take on ZIP Japan's Wataru Nakajima, who arrives once again in the Office, after one of the best matches in ZIP history against GORO.
PEWA Extreme Tag Title Bout 2 Junkies(Florida Man and Bath Salts Zombie)(C) vs. Wild Women(Mina Fitsharris and Juliette Erving) 2 Junkies have been incredibly dominant as the PEWA's tag champs, either ripping their foes to shreds, or tanking unreal amounts of damage. However, the Wild Women, after many months of adapting, seem to finally be on the same page and ready to challenge for the PEWA Extreme Tag Titles.
OASIS Preview Match La Axolotl vs. Unicornio Celeste(OASIS) Potentially the show stealer of the whole first night, OASIS gets a preview match with the lightning fast luchadora Unicornio Celeste taking on the dual affiliated La Axolotl, who will almost certainly attempt to keep the match grounded to take advantage of her hybrid submission style.
Count Savage vs. Tocapelotas(La Guerra de Sangre) Tocapelotas is known as a man who marches to the beat of his own drum, a trait that has made him wildly popular across Latin America, and also seems to have sent him packing in exile from La Guerra de Sangre, which, if one notes the current management, may have been a blessing in disguise. He now finds himself in a bout against the enigmatic master of many esoteric styles, the self promotional legend, Count Savage in a match that was likely made to see just how many groin strikes can occur in a single bout.
Preliminary Main Event G.P. Christopher vs. Big Clay Hurst(Wrestle Parade) Big Clay Hurst is known as a legend in the hardcore biker community, a brick wall of a powerhouse and one of Wrestle Parade's newest members. He finds himself in the now-customary "Preliminary Main Event" against the self-proclaimed "King of the Openers" G.P. Christopher, who, in spite of his braggadocious ways, often does back them up with exceptional performances.

Fast Eddie's Fast Picks for Lariats and Legislators #8 Night 2By "Fast" Eddie Edison Time flies, doesn't it? Seems like it was just a few months ago when the Senatorial Office opened its doors with the first Lariats, held in a gym, and now they're taking over the Pavilion in DC, with a huge two night event and a War Series to determine who runs the Office going forward! High stakes and big time matches! But you guys don't read me for a long introduction, so here we go: Lariats and Legislators #8: The War to End All Wars - Night TwoThursday, May 10th, 8:00 PM (CT) at the Pavilion Entertainment Center in Washington D.C. Preliminary Main Event, Night Two G.P. Christopher vs. Tetsu Gushiken(OG-FPD)I have a simple rule when it comes to guys from OG-FPD. It's called "Fast Eddie Never Bets Against OG-FPD." Got it? Good. War Series #1, Match for the Mantle Canadian Grizzly(Team Senator) vs. Shaka Corbin(Blackrose Wrestling)(Team Midas)Possession is nine tenths of the law, or whatever. All I know is that Shaka Corbin has the Grizzly Head, so he's gonna win this one. Team Midas up one to begin. War Series #2, PEWA Extreme Title Bout Tomas the Tiny Giant(C)(Team Senator) vs. Young Blood(Team Midas) Young Blood is badass, and has more ink than a Bic factory, but he's up against the Tiny Giant. Tomas will smash a lot of light tubes like he always does, and will smash Young Blood to retain. All tied now at one to one. War Series #3, Victorious Medal Bout Nishimura Endo(C)(Team Senator) vs. The Black Dragon(Phoenix Rising)(Team Midas)Look, I know some people are going to complain about this one, because, face it, Nishimura Endo already beat a Dragon type when he beat Crusher Honda. He beat Tarkhan, and he's looked almost unstoppable. But you also have to realize that Black Dragon beat freakin' Binak. And anyone who can do that is probably obsessed enough over gold to do whatever it takes to win this bout. Team Midas up by one at two to one. War Series #4, Dominican Golden Championship Bout Felix Santana Jr.(C)(Team Senator) vs. Colossus Rhodes(Team Midas)Felix is great, one of the best performers of his generation, and still on top of the world. But against Colossus? He's hopeless! Watch Felix get spiked just like Salvador did. And then things get real nervous for Team Senator as Team Midas edges close to winning it all at three to one. War Series #5, TIPWF Lone Star Heavyweight Title Bout Cowboy Johnston(C)(Team Senator) vs. Doc Wyatt(Warrior Pro)(Team Midas) Look, Doc Wyatt is legit. No matter what you may think about him, he knows how to win when it matters. But so does Cowboy Johnston, and I think Doc's run his mouth so much here that we're going to witness a beating of epic proportions. So Cowboy keeps Team Senator alive as the score draws a bit closer at two to three. War Series #6, Pan African Championship Bout Jean-Pierre Mutombo(C)(Team Senator) vs. Ibrahim Rahman(Team Midas) Don't come back here and tell me you told me so if Rahman catches JPM in a flash pin. I know he can do that, and he might. But I think Mutombo has looked amazing as of late, and is in good enough form to come away with a dominant win...if he doesn't get pinned. We're even now, three to three. One match to go for all the marbles. War Series #7 Aoife Daley(Team Senator) vs. Stanford Bradley(Team Midas)That's right! I don't think this match is even going to happen at all! Josh Belmonte invades the Office once again and sabotages the main event! Ok, ok, that's a cop out. I've heard that Stanford is locked into this match if it's the deciding match in the Series, and Team Midas loses if he runs. Don't think he wants that. So really, my thought is that Midas loads up the ringside with heavy hitters like Colossus and Black Dragon and makes this as nerve racking as possible for Daley. Does she knock him out? Or does Stanford manage to pull off one of his dirty tricks? Too many variables! I'm not making the call! So, aside from the main event, here you have it, all the picks you want, at the speed you need!

This two night card is really really exciting. Both nights could be super card shows on their own, but getting an all star line-up with multiple titles on the line for night one, and then a "best of seven" match series (also with titles on the line) with deeeeep implications in night two? Add in a Doc Wyatt/Cowboy Johnston match that I've refused to test sim because I wanna see these two beat the tar out of each other on first sim? Fucking hyped. After Friday the ramifications will be felt throughout the Critical Alliance, and I can't wait to see how it all shakes out.
Also, here's hoping a "Game 7" is needed so Stanford Bradley finally gets what's coming to him...

RESULTS Lariats and Legislators #8: The War to End All Wars - Night One Thursday, May 9th, at the Pavilion Entertainment Center in Washington D.C. following Evergreen Wrestling Bonus Match: Mercyside Derby Fred the Red vs. Stu the Blue The rivalry between Liverpool hooligan Fred Bakewell and Everton ultra Stu Looney was noted back in England, and finally made its way to the States, with Stu's recovery from an injury given to him by the destructive Kantar. While Liverpool has experienced a spectacular season on the pitch, it was the Blue who ended up victorious, taking the best of Bakewell's offence and winning with his own diving Rooney Stomp, and added on a cruel double boot slide kick after the three count was made. UCSS Openweight Title Gang Wong(C) vs. Andronicus Turner HONOO's rising star, and member of the Big Banter Brand, Andronicus Turner looked to have this match under control. While the rapid fire strikes of the champ connected to some degree, Turner's well-educated boxing was allowing him to land at will and avoid much trouble in the first round. However, in the second, Wong fired back, utilizing his array of kicks, and a huge flurry punctuated with a question mark kick left no question: the Shaolin Superstar was still the UCSS Openweight champion, and Turner was knocked straight out. The Loop Championship Bout NBNF(X-Treme Kid, DUDE Smith and Emerald Santiago)(C) vs. The Internationale(Joseph Harpo, Stakhonovite Warrior and Sarita Jean Watkins) A chaotic brawl to say the least, every member of both teams had their chance to shine in this match for The Loop. Certainly, DUDE Smith anchored his team.(and constantly asked his foes to "bring it) While Humberto Ortega saved the day at ringside at one point, he also worked to hinder his own team as well, evening the score. But the one person who was above and beyond impactful, was Sarita Jean Watkins, who managed to land a knockout victory over Emerald Santiago with her Change the World twisting cutter finisher, a move never more approrpriately named than it was here. TIPWF Old Guard Championship Mr. Nobunaga(C) vs. Wataru Nakajima(ZIP Japan) Two legends in their own right, Nobunaga controlled the early pace with his judo and his roughhouse tactics, but Wataru Nakajima may well be in the best form he's been in for this entire decade, and pulled out the stops, including a diving elbow drop, a snap powerbomb, the lariat and finally, a classic Nakajima Special to become the new TIPWF Old Guard Champion. PEWA Extreme Tag Title Bout 2 Junkies(Florida Man and Bath Salts Zombie)(C) vs. Wild Women(Mina Fitsharris and Juliette Erving) 2 Junkies have looked almost unstoppable at times, and opening up the match, it seemed as if the Wild Women were in for a long night. But finally, Mina Fitsharris and Juliette Erving were on the same page, and took the fight to the champs, with Erving finally delivering a brutal Conclusion snap neckbreaker on the outside to the Bath Salts Zombie, rendering him unable to continue and crowning new champions. OASIS Preview Match La Axolotl vs. Unicornio Celeste(OASIS) Word has it that these two have staged relentless, competitive bouts on the independents in anticipation for the debut of the OASIS fed. This however, was more a showcase for future OASIS ace, Celeste, who cut through Axolotl like a knife through butter, using every bit of her agility and skill to make a definitive statement. Count Savage vs. Tocapelotas(La Guerra de Sangre) Everything you thought this match was going to be, it was. Count Savage was as tricky as ever, but you don't trick Toca all the time and get away with it, and La Guerra's exiled superstar took the win with, you guessed it, a low blow. Preliminary Main Event G.P. Christopher vs. Big Clay Hurst(Wrestle Parade) A hard hitting, fast paced bout to open the proceedings with Wrestle Parade's Big Clay Hurst demonstrating surprising ring skills, but GP Christopher was laser focused here, hitting a double underhook Destiny Driver and then a spectacular avalanche German suplex to take the victory. --- Match of the Night: NBNF vs. The Internationale -Not even a question, the constant pandemonium of this match and the twists and turns that it took led it to the MotN award. Performer of the Night: Sarita Jean Watkins -By far the best performance of Watkins's short career, and one that demonstrated that her spirit and dedication may well overcome any of her shortcomings going forward. --- Injury Report Bath Salts Zombie: No Injury (Unchecked) -When the medical staff went to assist BSZ following his knockout loss to Juliette Erving, he attempted to consume an entire bottle of painkillers, resulting in his expulsion from the area. Emerald Santiago: Stinger (Two week medical suspension) -A twisting cutter from Sarita Jean Watkins placed Santaigo on the list, and it was discovered that she suffered from a mild stinger and should recover quickly.

RESULTS Lariats and Legislators #8: The War to End All Wars - Night Two Thursday, May 10th, 8:00 PM (CT) at the Pavilion Entertainment Center in Washington D.C. War Series #7 Aoife Daley, Senator Steve Phillips, The Black Dragon and Felix Santana Sr.(Team Senator) vs. Stanford Bradley, Morgan "Midas" Matthews and Crusher Honda(Team Midas) As Midas called upon the Black Dragon and Crusher Honda, things looked bleak for Phillips and Daley, who were prepared to go down fighting. But right before the bell was rung, the Dragon walked over to the Senator's corner, and Felix Santana Sr. stepped over the barrier and slid into the ring. With the tables drastically turned, Team Midas received the beating of a lifetime. Stanford Bradley was first out, victim of a vintage Santana Surfboard. Honda survived several choke attempts from an incensed Daley, but Raymond Allen Fleming sent her to ringside after she ceased to respond, following another choke. Now, with Midas as the only individual left, Team Senator gathered around as he begged for mercy, and received none. Phillips, unwilling to let things go too far, rolled the magistrate up to end the match, and retake full control of the Office. War Series: Senator 1(the only one that mattered in the end), Midas 0 War Series #6, Pan African Championship Bout Jean-Pierre Mutombo(C)(Team Senator) vs. Ibrahim Rahman(Team Midas) Jean-Pierre Mutmobo had won the Pan African Championship on an independent show following the injury of Mohammad Ramses. Representing his beloved fed and the Office itself, the pressure would have been unbearable for a lesser man. But the Man of Unity was up to the challenge, avoiding the technical traps of Rahman and enduring his focused legwork before hitting the Supersensational Drop to gain one single victory for Team Senator going into the main event. Before the main event started, Senator Phillips addressed the arena: Senator Steve Phillips: Delay the main event. I wish to make my way ringside before anything happens. Senator: Your team has indeed won this night. But I believe you are a man who wishes to completely defeat his opposition, am I correct? Of course I am. So I propose this simple idea, Mr. Matthews. Do you wish to destroy what is left before I leave? Here is your chance, with one caveat. This match decides everything. You and your hired muscle, and Stanford, against Aoife and I. We are willing. Are you? Stanford: Nooo! It's a trap! Don't do this! Get me outta here! Morgan "Midas" Matthews: You have a deal, Phillips. War Series: Senator 1, Midas 5 War Series #5, TIPWF Lone Star Heavyweight Title Bout Cowboy Johnston(C)(Team Senator) vs. Doc Wyatt(Warrior Pro)(Team Midas) Preceeding this match: Stanford Bradley: That's right! We're in control! We're taking over! And I'm personally firing Kevin Fitsharris as soon as possible! Doc Wyatt was on a mission. Cowboy Johnston, resiliant as he normally is, was lethargic and demotivated as Wyatt tore through him from bell to bell, finishing him with ease with Black Gold. War Series: Senator 0, Midas 5 War Series #4, Dominican Golden Championship Bout Felix Santana Jr.(C)(Team Senator) vs. Colossus Rhodes(Team Midas) The pride of Felix Jr. clearly got the best of him, and Colossus Rhodes was simply too big, too powerful, and obliterated his foe and obtained the Dominican Golden Championship in short order with a Conquering Crush ganso bomb. Ugly match. War Series: Senator 0, Midas 4 War Series #3, Victorious Medal Bout Nishimura Endo(C)(Team Senator) vs. The Black Dragon(Phoenix Rising)(Team Midas) Nishimura Endo had survived many threats to retain his Victorious Medal, but the Black Dragon cared nothing about this history, and quickly took control. During this bout: Stanford Bradley: This is great! Two matches up, we're going for the whole damn clean sweep! We're sweeping away the garbage like we always should have done years ago! And if Daley thinks she can touch this, she's got another thing comin! While a few big powerbombs from Endo offered token resistence, Dragon's dreadful reverse chokeslam drove him face first into the mat, and out of the waking world . Black Dragon added to her horde, and to the streak for Team Midas. War Series: Senator 0, Midas 3 War Series #2, PEWA Extreme Title Bout Tomas the Tiny Giant(C)(Team Senator) vs. Young Blood(Team Midas) Tomas started this match with an uncharacteristicly technical approach, outwrestling Young Blood. But a big Blood Splash seemed to change the nature of the bout, and the two brawled on the outside afterwards, without any sighting of Tomas's customary light tubes. Tomas did draw blood, but when Young Blood managed to open the Tiny Giant up as well, he also followed up with an inverted DDT onto a chair for the victory, claiming the PEWA Extreme Title War Series: Senator 0, Midas 2 War Series #1, Match for the Mantle Canadian Grizzly(Team Senator) vs. Shaka Corbin(Blackrose Wrestling)(Team Midas) The War Series started with a bang, as Shaka Corbin and Canadian Grizzly fought like animals over Grizzly's bear mantle, and in the end, it seemed that Corbin's possession of the grizzly head was just too demoralizing for the Canadian, who fell to a powerful Argentine Cutter. War Series: Senator 0, Midas 1 Preliminary Main Event, Night Two G.P. Christopher vs. Tetsu Gushiken(OG-FPD) The sheer dominance of Tetsu was undeniable from the start, but GPC was not about to relinquish his self-proclaimed status as the "King of the Openers" and fought back from an early deficit, landing back to back Roninmakers on the outside and a big moonsault and splash back in the ring. However, the constant knees and legwork of Gushiken proved unbeatable in the end, with a rolling leglock taking the win for the OG-FPD superstar. --- Match of the Night: Mutombo vs. Rahman -A close call between this and GPC vs. Gushiken, with the Pan African title bout just barely edging it out, with both men on top of their game here. Performer of the Night: Jean-Pierre Mutombo, The Black Dragon -A dual victory for Mutombo, who endured much through his bout and emerged on top, and for the Dragon, who fought in two matches and came away beating a dominant champ for his belt. --- Injury Report Nishimura Endo: Fractured Orbital (Three Month Medical Suspension) -Reverse Chokeslammed on his face by the Black Dragon, Endo was clearly not going to lose his belt by any means other than injury. It appears that it will take at least three months for the veteran to return, with an added evaluation required before he can do so.

The Black Dragon "Last night couldn't have gone any better... true, it all looked very hopeless near the end. And then, Midas's greed finally got the better of him... and he let his guard down. Trusted that I would show him the loyalty that he believed he'd gotten. But I remind you, Midas... my loyalty can't be bought. You should've seen it coming from the very beginning... jumping at the call to walk down to that ring at the end of the night alongside you, even Stanford Bradley knew something was wrong.
This was the outcome I'd wanted all along. I win the battle... you lose the war. I hold the Victorious Medal... and I don't answer to you, or anyone else.
And whatever you do, Midas... don't dream of saying that I stabbed you in the back. This was no secret. If you couldn't see the signs ahead of time... then that's your own damn problem. The story is the same as it's always been: a rich, arrogant man believed he knew better, believed he could conquer all because of his status.... and just like so many others, it all comes crashing back down to earth, because once again... they have more money than sense.
To all in Lightning Pro who think they've got what it takes... I did what Crusher Honda couldn't. I did what Tarkhan the Mangler couldn't. I'm the one that beat Nishimura Endo. I'm the one that ended a dominant reign and captured the Victorious Medal. And you're welcome to try and take it from my hands."
