Release date moved up from June 27th to June 25th, and some sites are saying pre-ordering comes with free season pass.

Yeah, I wonder if the deal is actually exclusively through digital download and not physical.
That kind of dampens my enthusiasm for it just a little as I really wanted a physical copy. My PSN connection kind of sucks right now and I have very little confidence that the game will be downloaded properly. Plus I just really want the physical copy in general for the artworks and the physical legitimacy of the disc.
I'll have to see how this goes. Perhaps they'll announce the season pass pre-order deal with physical soon.

Yeah, I'm still looking for physical as well. On the NA PSN store it's listed at full price of $79.99 when it was suggested earlier it would be sold at $59.99 to $69.99. I'll wait a bit and see if it shows up on Amazon.ca at the discounted price. I see some US stores taking pre-orders for physical copies but none in Canada yet.

I like the returning MK characters, particularly Nightwolf and Sindel (we knew about Shang before launch). I don't like guests but they're here to stay so no use bitching about that. I do wish that we had one less guest and one more MK-native character returning (or being introduced, a la Skarlet and Tremor in the last two games) but whaddyado? Bruce Campbell apparently deconfirmed Ash being in the game a couple of weeks ago but perhaps he was deconfirming his own participation since he's supposedly retired from the role? Dunno. Of Spawn, Terminator, and Ash, I do think the latter is the most interesting potential addition. All are better than that goddawful rumor of the Joker appearing in MK. I think I'd genuinely fucking hate that.

Also there is an Evil Dead game in the works, so he might be done physically playing Ash, but voicework is an easy pay day. Also on twitter Bruce mentioned the game when this trailer dropped. Said something like he may pick up a copy soon. |
