What I noticed about shadows (this might of been covered so my apologies). The RX RY values move both the wrestler and the shadow. The FZ FX values move only the wrestler. If a shadow is way off, move the RX RY values till the shadow lines up where you want it (do not worry how out of place the wrestler is) and then back track the edit over the shadow using the FZ FX values. The shadow should stay in place where you moved it. The RX RY values also affect (roughly line up) the next frame, where as the FZ FX values do not.
Feel free to delete this if its false, it's merely my observations....so far.

Oh shit, I've made like twenty moves (mostly splices - but useful ones) and I didn't realize there was an FX till just now, only FZ. I've been shelving moves to come back to later if the edit ended up off their shadow on the assumption it would need a custom form to fix and I'm trying to avoid custom forms for now. This simplifies things quite a bit. (I clearly should have RTFM by now.) You do good work.

Yeah shadow placement is huge because I think thats where the character "really is." So if shadow placement is off it will impact character standing position after the move is over, as well as camera movement

Yeah, the shadow is absolutely where they "really" are. That's why if you need to move a wrestler during an animation, you should always do it by moving the shadow. Sometimes when you're cutting and splicing moves together though, they end up off of it, and I didn't realize you could do it without just dragging the form itself where you need it. Like I said, I didn't realize there was an FX column "behind" the FZ column.
The reason I haven't wanted to drag-and-drop the form back onto the shadow is that doing so creates a custom form, and custom forms take up significantly more memory than a move made out of preset forms does. Because of how the game itself is written, it can only use so much memory, no matter what, so I try to keep my custom-form use as low as humanly possible.
I do need to sit down and read the instructions. I had a fair amount of initial success from just jumping right in, but I've hit one or two obstacles on the way where I don't know how to do basic things.

Does anyone know if this has been used to improve in-game moves? The poor quality of the stunner still chaps my ass.

Hi KS! 🙋♂️ A lot of people are cloning the default moves and modifying them to give them more impact. I've done that for a few of the STO moves as well as a bunch of others. I saw a few stunners on the Steam workshop that improve on the default one. I didn't even connect the dots that drag-and-drop was causing a custom form!! I've recently been using the shadow moving method (then moving the whole wrestler onto it using the FX/FZ controls (or the ones in the Parts menu). Drag-and-drop is too frustrating sometimes so I try not to use it unless i have to. Glad to know there's less reason to do so since that creates custom forms which cause memory bloat. I do need to sit down and read the instructions. I had a fair amount of initial success from just jumping right in, but I've hit one or two obstacles on the way where I don't know how to do basic things. Yeah, I'm the same way. I became comfortable with the actual move making tool a lot quicker than I thought I would. I've actually made 35 moves in the past week but haven't publicly any of them. And the reason I haven't done so is because there are things I know I have to do to fine tune each one (like the size offsets) AND there are things I know that I don't know which I need to find out so I don't upload any buggy moves. I need to watch the videos since the guide is still a little vague on what some of the controls mean. Make sure to set all the counter categories at the bottom of the "status" menu too.

Just wanted to drop in and say the move craft addition is why I'm back. I'm working on some stuff that I'll eventually release so yeah. This is the kind of thing I dreamed of way back when I first played Fire Pro as a young turnbuckler, so even if my life is way different now and I have like 0 time to actually do any of this... I'm going to do it, dammit. Taking a break from my other more important stuff to do this less important stuff for a while but holy hell does this unimportant stuff feel awesome!

It really, really does. I've spent way too much time on it every night since it was released.
It literally is a dream come true for so many of us. I feel like we can re-make the game in our image now, between parts craft, move craft, entrance craft, and goose craft ($6.69 DLC & charge u).
Looking forward to what you have in store for us and VERY glad you are enjoying it so much!
Glad it brought you here too 😄
Hope to see some major LEGWORK moves from you 😎

Holy shit you took to that immediately! 😲 The angle of impact is so smooth and the sell on that move is awesome! You are a quicker learner than I am. Here was my first attempt at a move: I called it the Osotoguhri or the STOd'Oh 😁

lol as soon as I saw Move Craft was a thing I thought about all the cool PATATAS moves I could see in LAWL. Or any LAWL moves for that matter. And yeah, the animation is really easy to get the hang of, but I've had some practice over the last few years. It helps to have an 'eye' for the Fire pro style so your stuff doesn't stick out too much. There were some official moves that deviated from this style that stood out, too. It would be interesting to see what their tools looked like going back to the SNES days. Finally getting to peek under the hood FOR REAL this time instead of the glimpses we got thanks to JB. He was working on some kind of move splicing thing for a bit but it was probably almost impossible. Speaking of... where the fuck is JB???
