OK, when did techno become EDM? A few years ago I think. When reviewers couldn't separate techno from house, or dubstep from drum & bass etc. they just decided to lump everything into one category.

Today on "Yes, This Exists" I bring you an officially licenced hard techno version of "It's a Small World." Complete with sample of Donald Duck saying he "like(s) the hard bass." Or maybe it's loud bass. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just discovered Gunship, a very 80's sounding group. Also helps that most of their music videos reference 80's movies and video games.

Been into Hardcore punk the last couple years, saved my life and gave me a path way to PMA and to feel safe in my surroundings by boosting my confidence. Cro-Mags, Youth of Today, sick of it all, Gorilla Biscuits, etc.
This has been my anthem for me and my ma the last few months of our homelessness and I was in the hospital for a month in March and almost died. Had to relearn everything, talking, eating, walking, drinking. It was rough but I fuckin made it.

With all the talk of THPS1+2 I've been thinking about posting "Superman" for a while. As much as I've always liked that song, it feels like the lyrics have only gained in resonance with age.
I was just going to post the original and call it good but it turns out the current lineup recorded a new version of it a few months ago as a quarantine video.

On the subject of Goldfinger, I remembered one of my favorite "customer complaint" stories earlier. An older woman (that is, clearly at least 40) had mistakenly bought one of their albums thinking it was the soundtrack to the James Bond movie and returned it because she thought it was "the most disgusting thing" she'd ever heard. Bear in mind that the cover looks like this:

Thanks to Spotify I discovered a band called Skeletal Remains. A old school sounding death metal band. Massively inspired by Morbid Angel, great sounding too. Highly recommend if that's your cup of tea.
