Literally just discovered Blinding Lights today; as I am always months if not years out of date with new music. The music video alone gave me a huge Cowboy Bebop mashed into Blade Runner vibe for some reason, which I think is why I liked it so much.

That's the beauty of music, though. Even if you're not with it on current music, there are always countless songs from any given era waiting to be discovered.

Man this song has been on repeat for the past month on my spotify, such a great track! Love the video as well. And there's a slowed down version out there that's really good too. :)

Oh wait a minute. No wonder this gave me a Blade Runner vibe. The tunnel in the video appears to be the 2nd Street Tunnel in Los Angeles which is also the same tunnel that was used in Blade Runner.

I know I’m late to he game on this one, but I was on nights at work and usually find music on YouTube to listen on my terminal in the background while I work. I had a list of DJ Premier stuff playing when a really different, non studio recording started. Turns out it was an NPR Tiny Desk Concert recording, and I was immediately hooked. A short, twenty to thirty minute, barely, if at all, produced concert featuring talented back up musicians and vocalists and the main attraction in a very intimate setting. Very cool and creative platform to feature musicians in perfectly short but satisfying bite sized performances! Please let me know if any of you have a favourite that I need to check out! Alicia Keys, around 21 min in she sings Falling, wow... m.youtube.com/watch?v=uwUt1fVLb3EA really fun one with Big Daddy Kane, the band recreates sampled music with live music, really cool shit! m.youtube.com/watch?v=p8Uw1cl4xjg
