Hi all,
I'm new to the Fire Pro World and after reading the hype, decided to make the purchase. After a few days of playing, I have a major issues.
I purchased the game for Windows through Steam. I've been playing it a few days and now all of a sudden I cannot navigate through ANY of the game menus although the game will let me click one button and that's the: 'Press any button' command before the menus using either keyboard, mouse and controller. After this...... nothing! It's like the game will not recognise my input.
I have uninstalled the game, windows (I have a back up don't worry) and practically everything associated with the game but still no luck.
HELP!

If you launch the game with no controller connected do you still have the same issue?
I remember seeing this issue posted on here before by someone else but no answer was available, hopefully someone can help you.

Thanks man. Even when the controller is not plugged in the keyboard and mouse only get as far as previously described :-(

Yeah happened to me, I even emailed Spike, they said they'd look into it & never got back to me. Thankfully, I played the game on two computer's, the one went to crap & the other's fine

Thanks for the reply. Oh dear, not good that they didn't reply. I'll give them a message now.

Try verifying the game files.

I've already done that mate. It said 1 file was missing, I clicked verify again and all came up ok. Nothing then changed in the game though. Thanks anyway.

Have you tried messing with the controller config in Steam?

Do you have sticky keys turned on, or any other accessibility options? Check to make sure. Try ALT-TABBING out and back in to the program. It may have lost input focus.

Hi all,
The Steam Cloud settings were enabled and so I believe my game was in some kind of loop that was loading a corrupt/damaged save. That's the best way I can describe it lol. I went into: Steam/userdata/SteamID/AppID (D2) and deleted the folder for FPW. I then unticked all Steam Cloud enabled boxes and reinstalled the game. IT WORKS! :-)
Thank you all so much for your time and efforts. What a strange scenario.
GAME ON!!! :-)

Aw shit, I remember reading about something like that happening with another game. I guess the cloud stuff can jank things up pretty weirdly sometimes, but I never would've guessed that to be the problem here
Glad you got it sorted, though, man

Yeah a general rule: Steam Cloud fucks shit up with Fire Pro, its really better to just turn that shit off and create manual backup saves (or if you use mods, just turn on the backup save feature).

Appreciate the replies guys. Really glad I got it sorted too. 'Carlzilla' actually messaged me on Steam and mentioned that it may be this minutes after I decided to give it a try. If there's one thing I've noticed from signing up to gaming forums, it's that there are really decent people out there that genuinely want to help! If only this stretched out wider than gaming.......

Yeah, I almost always disable Steam Cloud anymore.
I disabled it when I found out people's saves were being corrupted when the game first came out and thankfully I haven't lost mine.

Well mine's not coming back on - this made me go out of my mind! I literally couldn't work it out and if I had decided to uninstall 1 more thing, I think I would have taken a sledgehammer to my computer!
