Hi, long time Fire Pro player since SNES days to the PS2. I recently decided to buy Fire Pro Wrestling World on Steam but was surprised that 80% of the wrestlers I downloaded from the community is grayed out. I understand this is because some moves are from DLCs that I haven't purchased. My question is do I have to buy all DLCs or are there non-essential ones that I can skip and save my money on? Please note that I don't want to play the promoter thing. Thanks! Fire promoter is the only dlc that you will not need at all. Stardom dlc is gonna be mostly gonna women edits. The smaller dlc will be less likely to be used. There's only one move from the charity dlc and it's rarely used.

Wait a few days before buying DLC, there is a big steam sale coming up.

I’ve found the most common used parts/moves for edits come from the junior DLC and Wrestler pack featuring Jay White. There are are exceptions but they seem to help cover the bases better if you have limited funds.

Thanks everyone! I was excited to get back to Fire Pro but the DLC issue bummed me out. I'll wait for the Steam sale and go from there. :)

You can skip promoter but the rest have ties to edit parts and moves, so I would start with the NJPW Heavyweight (since it has the most stuff), then Junior, then Stardom. Check out the workshop after each one and if most of the edits you want aren't greyed out, you might be fine with what you have.
Also theres a steam sale coming up so you may want to wait a weekish to see if any of the DLC goes on sale.

I'll wait for the Steam sale and go from there. :) Welcome to the C!C 😀 I'll ECHO the Steam sale advice as well. The Stardom DLC is smaller but a lot of us (including me) have found some of our favorite current moves from it. So you may want to just check out the threads on this board for each DLC and see what moves were released in them.

Hey guys. For the last week or so, wrestlers I subscribe to aren't showing up in the Retired list. It shows them downloading when the game starts up, so I can't figure out why they're not showing up. Ideas?

No, I couldn't see them there.
I think I fixed the problem though. I was getting the error message about being subscribed to too many ring items. I unsubscribed from a few of those, re-started the game, and my new wrestlers finally showed up on the retired list.
They really need to raise that 100 piece limit.

Anyone else dragging their feet still about buying the Stardom DLC? I tend to get cheap when it comes to buying digital gaming things in general. Also I'm pretty sure I can find any wrestler edit for download that doesn't use the DLC moves. Some creators even make 2 versions of updated wrestlers, one with the DLC and an alternative without needing to buy DLC. So basically I just feel the need to buy it, because it would be nice to own.

If you aren't gonna make women wrestlers yourself I think it would be pretty easy not to get it. Personally it's one of my favorite DLC because of the much needed variety it gave to women edits

Not sure if this is the right thread to post this in but finally got the game and loving it so far. Only issue is that the entrances are really slow, as are the matches at 100%. Possible CPU issue? RAM? I'm running this on an Intel Core i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz 8 GB Ram (2X4GB)

I've had issues at times too. Some things that have helped me:
1) Try running in lower resolutions. If you go to windowed mode, bring your screen size down, and go back up to full screen, it seems to keep the lowered resolution. Resolution is the biggest performance killer, and it's not like Firepro needs to be super high-def.
2) You did say you're running 8mb of RAM, which is what I upgraded TO, but I'm also running Windows 7; if you're running something newer and if I know Microsoft, your OS is probably taking up a fair bit more memory, so upgrading RAM might not hurt if that's an option.
3) Try some cooling systems. I'm on an old, old laptop and it used to get super hot - for a shoot, I melted one of tye rubber feet off the bottom the first day I had FPW. Even later, after I started using a cooling pad, I was noticing a lot of slowdown after a match had run for a couple minutes that just wouldn't go away. I bought on O-Polar off Amazon, it's basically a small, high powered fan that attaches to your computer's existing vent and just sucks the heat out with a vengeance. I paid about 30 bucks and the thing works WONDERS. It's an order of magnitude better at reducing heat than the cooling pads of similar cost. If heat's your problem, that'll fix it.

A friend of mine recently bought the game on PC/Steam and the Workshop button is greyed out for him. Any idea(s) why? I suggested V-Sync to him, so perhaps that's it?
