I saw a similar spot in one of the AKI games recently. Proof that questionable AI transcends time and technology.
Somewhat appropriately in my case, though, the flying fool was Jeff Hardy. 😁

I'm pretty sure I know why it happened: He has slide into ring for his entrance, and couldn't do it immediately. And instead of just running the slide animation, they have the CPU enter in the in-game input for slide-in, but don't do it at the right spot, so it's a weapon grab instead... and the game doesn't know what to do from there.

Probably due to poor decision-making at a high altitude 😁 I like to imagine he was in such an intense rivalry with that other guy that lost focus on winning the match and just wanted to HURT him |
