Yep! Also it's implied that she grabs the hair of her opponent when she does it to maintain a grip in lieu of the proper cravate grip. and yeah, I expected her opponent to win but Linda Parker's got something to prove. Shame these streams are non-canon. That's just a great modification of the move for her! RK-Hair 😁 Sandy is really happy to hear about the tribute too. She's crying through her mascara. Linda has a lot to prove and, despite her fallout with Robin, I think Robin can empathize with her at this point in her career. Sounds like it was a great tag tournament!
Next is going to be a 32-person junior heavyweight tournament. Mostly random draw from my pool of juniors, with Spider Jack and Xander Starr being pre-seeded as #16 and #32 respectively.

"Fujin's Fury" of Yamashita Goro pushes me to the edge of my seat with the timing of this finish 😲 Got 99% too 😁

Second night of the World Junior Cup has some thrilling moments.
Ken Archer and PGCW Openweight Champ Mikey Poncho get the crowd fired up
Oakland's Most Wanted brings the mayhem to Ripper Reno
Tiger Woods Mask shows his savvy (and gives a fistpump)
...And shows he's still got the moves!
And lastly, Suicide Survivor vs Xander Starr... the whole match. Just... holy fuck this is a good match.
Imagine the convo before that match was like this:
Corey O'Brian: "Well, your match is last tonight. Everyone's talking about how good Archer vs Poncho was. Gonna be tough to top it."
Xander: "Hold my Flanigan's cup."

Wow, that Tiger Woods Mask dropkick counter against the chair was a thing of beauty!! It's like he somehow S-groove dodged or something! Great finish in that match too! But wow - Poncho/Archer had a decisive as hell finish 😲 (The ring shook and you just know that isn't great on the ole spine!) And Xander/Suicide Survivor was awesome. I really thought SS was gonna win off the flying Codebreaker so that 2.9 kickout was great. And then Xander immediately followed it up. I also loved his taunt into the flying dive even though it got a rope break. I think he would have had the victory there.

Re Xander/Survivor Yeah, I totally bit on The Mindblower being the finish and then Xander busts out Maximum Spider right away. It's a shame that Suicide Survivor got bounced in the first round but Xander made sure Survivor got over too. It was the right result in the end because the main story of this (non-canon, but may be retconned into happening just before the pandemic) tournament is that Spider Jack had won a similar tournament a few years back but Xander was still in traction at the time. But Spider Jack was an alternate so he might not have even been in the original tournament had Xander been healthy. So both of the favorites have something to prove

Xander definitely got SS over big time. And I really like the head-canon storyline you have with Xander and Spider Jack having a rivalry based on the previous tournament. That is a great rivalry dynamic 😎

Sometimes you get a special bout in the demo matches, this one, featuring Gang Wong of my UCSS fed vs. current P4P boxing great, Vasyl Lomachenko. Love some of the off the wall matches that surface from the demos.

WOW! 👏 That was such a perfect face comeback!!! I especially like how the first two strikes didn't knock the giant off his feet so he went for the running dropkick and it delivered! FPW booked this spot in advance 😁

Yupp, very cosmetically pleasing. He still lost though, but it's ok. My giant's about to go on a monster title reign.

The Round of 16 matches had some sweet moments too.
Jimmy The Razor busting out some big moves!
Xander Starr and Millenium getting early near falls...
And who needs Suplex City when you can have SUPLEX COUNTY
And a strong finish
And one more full match, Scott Saphyre vs Tiger Woods Mask, because woah.

And highlights from the finals:
Senton City!
Oakland's Most Wanted drags a bloody Kamen Mask around while holding him in the Oakland Crab
Scott Saphyre neutralizing Xander Starr's offense
Jimmy The Razor celebrates early
Bonus Match between Greyhawk and Ninja King Z has a brutal finish
Xander Starr also knows about Senton City
...But Jimmy The Razor would rather visit Wizard City
And the thrilling conclusion!

I guess you can teach an old Goose new tricks...like one that aren't in his moveset 😅 Interesting glitch here that resulted in an informal Okite Yaburi ground attack move steal!: His ground attack moves: Geese has never even remotely had a running to face dropkick. I wonder what specifically caused this. The strike exchange? The tag that occurred after the strike exchange? The fact that he interrupted his "Strike exchange clincher" -> "Anaconda Vice" priority to do the tag then attempted to continue the priority? Check out Jason Hyde's moveset. He has the running dropkick to face in the same slot as Geese's Anaconda Vice. That confirms an "accidental" move steal but it doesn't exactly explain how it happened.

Is Hyde the opponent or the partner? If the partner, I wonder if since he was standing in the right spot off the tag, of he was attempting that move at the same time, if the computer crossed the two up and executed the move with the wrong wrestler.
If the opponent, then I have no idea.

If the opponent, then I have no idea. Haha, yeah, unfortunately Jason Hyde was one of the opponents of Geese in that match. I have no idea what happened here either. Apparently there's an unofficial "okite" that can occur! I've had a lot of issues with priorities recently (especially them being ignored in favor of top rope moves) so I wonder if it's the priority with the tag interruption that caused the issue rather than the fact that the initial move was the strike exchange clincher. The clincher (as a strike exchange move) may not have been had anything to do with it. It could have been any move that started a priority chain which led to this situation.
