Just in the nick of time, the Motley Crew have arrived!
The Motley Crew a rag-tag group of spooky-themed wrestlers. Doinkette is the de-facto leader - She's violent and apparently insane. Pumpkin Spice was her first recruit. They have an... interesting dynamic. Pumpkin Spice is often put in the way, keeping Doinkette safe. Kyoto Ghoul joins them for the first time as a joshi superstar raised into undeath after a tragic encounter with a necromancer. Seiko Kankyako has also joined the ranks as a vengeful ghost of a slain hand maiden.
Each edit has a tragic backstory, but they utilize move-sets and mannerisms that aren't as expected based on their appearances alone. With the introduction of Move Craft earlier this year, their characters have been fleshed out further. Each edit may see tweaks in the future as my ability with Move Craft improves.
Doinkette received a significant overhaul and I decided to make it a separate edit. She's more violent, more wacky, and even less forgiven than ever before.
Kyoto Ghoul is a fresh corpse face joining the Motley Crew this year. She was originally meant to be created when World came out, but I never got around to it and she fell to the wayside until now.
"Toyomi Amanita was destined for super-stardom in the world of joshi puroresu as an exciting member of New Dallas Pro Wrestling. Brave and charsimatic, she was well on her way to earning her first major title. Ever the opportunist and adventurer, Toyomi would visit and trespass upon the grounds of the fabled Nagoya Castle. Unbeknownst to her, she was struck down by an ancient necromancer's spell and raised as a ghoul, doomed to live her new life, now as the Kyoto Ghoul."
Pumpkin Spice received mostly new moves and logic improvements. No new visuals came with this update. If you previously downloaded this edit, please check the requirements to be sure you can continue using it.
Seiko Kankyako fits the spooky theme and has joined the Motley Crew as a late addition. She's received a lot of new moves custom made to fit her character. A solid chunk of her move-set is built around teleports, possession, and other magical abilities.
If it wasn't for the intense rivalry starting at the birth of Typhoon Pro, the promotion probably wouldn't have progressed to what it has become. Each of them are an eight-time top-tier champion.
My entire promotional universe started out in 2005/2006 with that year's WWE game - Think it was SvR2006. Aubrey Desrochers, Frigyd Wintyrs, Yumori Tanaka, Kaishida Tachibana, Phoenyx, VEGA, Mira Torres and Malta Ferrera made up the foundation that I would build upon. Typhoon Pro never had a real definitive style, I suppose if I had to give a particular label, it had more in common with Dragon Gate than anything else.

Alongside the rookies, I've also been working on updating/upgrading Kyra Ness-Doyle. I don't recall uploading her publically, but she's been one of my favorite edits to work on this past year.
She's "Certainly not British", according to her. As such, she's formed a mostly-friendly rivalry with SKYLINE's Zarya Rapier II. She's a master technician with a penchant for surprising her opponents with a bevy of complicated flash pins. If that wasn't enough, she's also an accomplished submission artist, preferring to utilize her patented Lock Ness (Modified Kabel Naria) submission hold. I've created a custom variation of the Goriconoclasm for her, which I've named the "Goriconideal" (Thanks to jimofmanynames for the name suggestion). She also rarely throws out her Serpent's Lash (Flying Heel Kick), usually only depending on it if she wants to further catch her opponent off-guard.
I need to make a Back Counter Gannosuke Clutch, as I don't really like the Side Clutch reversal for her much.

Hey folks; Progress has kind of slowed down, sped back up, and slowed down again. Streaming has been kind of erratic and spur-of-the-moment so far this year.
I'm still working on the CASSANDRA roster. That'll continue to be my big project as I get ideas, figure out how I want to utilize them, etc. There's approximately 40 rookies completed at this point.
Risako Kishu:
Risaku is the "Silver Dragon Knight". She's inspired by Rika Tatsumi. She mixes striking (Many kicks and hip attack variations) and submissions together to create an offense that comes from multiple directions. I'm debating if I want to make her the "ace" of the promotion over DIANA Honda, the originally planned ace. She's quickly become my favorite of the whole project, with Rin Jokusato and Fuyuki Takenaka being close behind. Her Finisher is the Calf Crusher/Slicer.
Maika Kanashimi:
Maika is a hardcore brawler with very minimal technical wrestling ability about her, with the most complex move in her arsenal being the Cobra Clutch. She would prefer to knock her opponent's heads clean off with a steel chair than get into a grappling contest. She's ultra-violent from the get-go, contrasting Makuna Tenshin's "controlled chaos" approach to her deathmatch tendencies. She's inspired by the cover of Bomb Factory's "Moshing Through Tokyo" album art. Her finisher is the Running Death Valley Driver (sometimes into the turnbuckle).
Tadako Yuguchi:
Tadako has a no-frills approach to her style. Loosely inspired by Minoru Suzuki, she prefers to dismantle her opponents, targeting every limb on their bodies to deal as much damage as possible. Her rival and occasional tag team partner is Riku Tetsuka. Her finisher is the Inverted Indian Deathlock Cobra Clutch (or Taku Iwasa's Lucretia/Devil Lock).
Riku Tetsuka:
Riku, similarly to Tadako, has a no-frills approach to her style. However, she's more in-tune with the showmanship side of pro wrestling and finds herself playing to the crowd more often than not. This bothers Tadako to a degree, but not enough to be envious of her. Her finisher is the Dungeon Lock.
Etsuko Kamada:
Etsuko is all flash and humiliation. She uses her dazzling speed and acrobatic maneuvers to befuddle her opponents and crowd alike. It's not uncommon for her to leap frog over her opponents (sometimes while flipping) in rapid succession before taunting them, usually angering them in the process. She is probably the most "lucha"-based member of the roster, if not one of the most. Her finisher is a Whirling/Spinning Headscissors, similar to that of Kelly Kelly or Starlight Kid.
Nao Nao:
Nao Nao is the anti-face of CASSANDRA and the leader of Queen's Gambit (Which includes Makuna Tenshin, Imari Harada and WHIP Nanae). She sees herself as the strongest of everyone on the roster. Nobody compares to her (at least that's what she thinks). Her top rival has been Tomo Nakanabe, Yumori Tanaka's "Chosen One". She's also been in a feud with DIANA Honda as of late. If DIANA is the tough armor plating of the tank, Nao is the heavily artillery. Despite using stiff strikes and throws, and general lack of authorative appreciation, she retains her sense of honor, choosing not to rely on dirty tactics to defeat her opponents, unlike her stable-mates. Queen's Gambit serves as the "NWO"-type villainous stable of the roster. Her Finisher is the Rolling Mayan Peach Suplex.
MOTO Risu:
Risu just wants to have fun. She doesn't take competition too seriously, instead choosing to play to the crowd and give them an enjoyable experience. She's *very* silly, but not so silly as to top Rin Jokusato. She will often stop to run in a circle, emulating her favorite hobby, motorsports. She's meant to be a comedic foil to Risako Kishu. Her Finisher is the Figure Eight Leglock.
Yuu Amisaki:
Yuu, much like Nao Nao, considers herself to be the best wrestler in the promotion. She's an aristocrat that spends her time looking down on her opponents. She has an intense sense of honor to go along with her brutal limb targeting and submission abilities. She very seldomly, if at all, resorts to dirty tactics. Despite being very similar to Nao Nao, she is different, but it's a bit more subtle. Her Finisher is the Tilt-a-Whirl Guillotine Legdrop Armbar Combo (AZM of STARDOM's Finisher).
Kikiyo Hotaru:
Kikiyo is an idol with 100% "Big Goblin Energy". She's cute, but she'll absolutely ruin your day. She has no sense of personal space or limits, oftentimes throwing herself at her opponents to defeat them. She's not as flashy as Etsuko and is rather clumsy in her approach. She antagonizes her opponents to throw them off their game. Her Finisher is the Lollipop Painsaw (C2C Rolling Gamengiri).
Moka Nanase:
Moka is more or less a mashup of Vader, Earthquake, and Yuna Manase all in one. She'll run over her opponents and crush them with her power. Proud of her size, she uses it to her advantage, literally throwing her own weight around. She's a cute wrecking ball of sorts, if you will. Her Finisher is the Spinning Side Slam followed by an Earthquake-style Running Hip Drop.

I don't know that "ground to a halt" is the proper descriptor, so I'll go with "Spinning the wheels in a puddle of superglue".
I started working on some things near the end of last month. One of those things was Helga Von Rahne. She hails from the small country of Liechtenstein. I made a customized Rana for her appropriately named the Liechtensteiner.
I also started working on another rookie - Mikasa Tsukasa. This edit will ultimately become a tribute to Hana Kimura as "Mikasa Tsukasa" translates to, roughly, "flower master". The name is a pun on "mi casa es su casa" otherwise translated into English as "My house is your house". I'm toying with giving her Ember Moon's Eclipse because "Don't go throwing stones in glass houses" and "glass shatters", which opens Stone Cold Steve Austin's entrance theme and his finisher is the Stunner. Her current finisher is "Nuestra Kasadora", an avalanche Astro Scissors Whip-Cazadora Foot Stomp Combination. "Nuestra Casa" means "Our House" - "Nue" is also a Japanese mythological creature. It's... needlessly complex.
And lastly - I've been working on Mei Saint-Michel's Saint Michel finisher since I haven't seen another one pop up on the Workshop yet.

Seriously love these new edits - in the post from last month (especially Etsuko and Yuu Amisaki!!!!!) and recently. Helga Von Rahne is awesome looking! Her arrogant smile and regal clothes are great. Love her finisher too! 😀 Love the tribute to Hana Kimura with Mikasa Tsukasa - a delicious pun 😁
I watched a career retrospective for Tam Nakano the other night and ended up making this edit in a spur of the moment:
She's sort of a mixture of Mayu Iwatani, Unagi Sayaka and, to a lesser extent, Kurt Angle. I opted to give her Bull's Grampus as a finisher instead of the Ankle Lock because Siara Skye is already using it as her own Finisher. She's still using a metric crapload of Leg Pick moves. She's not entirely flippy, but she has a few of them. She's a little more heavy on Superkick spots than I normally use, but they work for the edit. She's got some nasty Elbow strikes too.
