I'm just shocked that they're ignoring all the base game issues, that affect every aspect of the game, in favor of the limited online mode which most people won't use. It's not even a "sim vs play" mentality, it's that online mode provides significantly less in terms of game modes for players to use; I think it's still just Exhibition and Gruesome matches. Add the limited restrictions that you can place on a room to prevent specific edit builds/skills/etc and it's unlikely to be used beyond a handful of friends playing together.

I wish I never bought this, it's a joke now. I was on the old board back in like April telling people to calm down. But they not only made the delay longer - seemingly infinitely - but they broke the base game.

The PC version is still salvageable for obvious reasons (by the community, not by Spike), but PS4 is fucked.

10 months for a new UI skin, 30 edits (with a bunch of too specific to be very useful parts), ~50 moves, and a story mode that doesn't react to or account for player choices and actions... FUCK YEAH! I'm so done with these assclowns.
I gave everyone all of those things (minus the broken UI reskin, and broken story mode, because who the fuck wants broken stuff?) for free...and got run out by a community who couldn't fucking wait to gargle Spike's fucking man pudding when I questioned their priorities and ability to deliver the goods. Turns out, I was questioning that stuff for good reason...the really ridiculous part is that there's STILL a cadre of people here who would jump at the chance to suck a DLC from the impotent cock of the godly Fire Pro developers...pathetic.

That's a huge no no in the console world I only have the PC version but I took a break cause it's sorta aimless when I was jonesin for Fire Promoter... but it lags, it pauses every 20 seconds, on a machine that runs Doom 2016 on Ultra... Mods might save this, but it feels like I went back in time and I'm playing a beta now, when I bought this the second it was available, and was relatively pleased... They've flushed goodwill down the toilet, they really have

I wish I could act surprised, but it certainly didn't feel like an update was on our horizon. This is all just pretty laughable at this point. I'm done trying to give Spike Chunsoft my money. This entire time I've been determined to buy all the DLC - even though I have no interest in any of it aside from edit parts - just to support the game. Warts and all, this is still my favorite game. But these jokers at SC don't deserve that level of support, they've let us PC players down at nearly every available opportunity all year long and clearly don't feel compelled to make any extraordinary effort to make things right for those of us who have waited so long.
I've never bought a game in EA and closely followed its development before this one, and it is quite the bummer that all the excitement and promise of those first few months has vanished completely. I used to hope those devs would never stop working on the game; now that's the only thing I want from them.

Spike Chunsoft and Fire Pro World is just a terrible example.

I have no other instance to compare it to since this was my first time buying a game in EA, but it seemed really exciting prior to the abrupt X-mas exit from EA. I remember multiple occasions where reading new patch notes made me practically crap my pants. I miss that crappy pantsed feeling.

On the one hand, they're a small team of what, 10 or so people? Handling multiple platforms is usually handled one at a time, so the fact they were even trying to handle two at once was perhaps a grave mistake. And this is considering they dropped development ON the PC version for a time.
Worse still, because of the way the game was made - and something Matsumoto mentioned before - was questionable, it seems things on PC that could be looked over because of mods and powerful hardware become crippling issues on weaker hardware.
It seems like the warning flags started as soon as they planned a PS4 version, because it was that focus that started a delay for even Fire Promoter on PC; remember when that was the first DLC they planned? They didn't have the size to handle multiple versions, the foundation of stability to make a console port manageable, and just underlying issues with the game that only stand out on a version the community can't fix.
What a damn shame. I think I might only get the NJPW DLC just for the assets and to make sure I can stay up to date with Edits. On the "plus" side, this taking so long means more of the roster is going to have to get updated by the community, so we're more likely to make the most of the new content. An absurd plus, but this is really about the only good thing going on for the game right now.
I've held back on playing the game again seriously until the UI update and using that as a base to "refresh" the game for me. I might as well just dive in, work with what's there, and then handle the updates as they come.

Even things that never worked on the PC were overlooked because they wanted to keep their PS4 schedule. Remember their explanation of why their online mode was garbage on the PC? If you don't, it was basically that the internet infrastructure was to blame and there wasn't anything they could do about it. Now, they're wasting time trying to fix online mode on the PS4 before delivering anything to PC players. We dealt with a broken ass online mode for more than a fucking year, the PS4 crowd can deal with one for a month or two while you make good on your estimated time-frame for your other player base. It's just blatantly treating the PC crowd like red-headed step children. If you want to point the finger at something creating a divide in the community, you need to look at Spike's practices and decisions regarding their PC user base.
At this point, I'm glad this flopped. This sort of incompetence shouldn't be rewarded with support. I can't wait for them to call it a day here...at least then we won't have to deal endless uncertainty and crippling inability.

Uncertainty IS the worst of all. No ETA, no pre-sale no nothing, and we're just sopposed to wait.
Can someone send a mail to them talking about this, or something like that? If we start pestering them about their incompetence they might take notice.
They might as well.. release the dlc on its current state, and leave us to deal with the issues, '''i'm still wauting for a official announcement before i drop the hammer and start cussing at them.

Sending messages won't make a difference, it's an upper management decision that a handful of tweets won't affect. I'll give them a gold star for not just dumping all the unfinished code on PC and bailing though, potentially breaking games in the process.

It's already too late, i have already started cussing at them. Now i wanna see how they're going to word this to the Steam community. by the way, notice how they wait until the last days to tell us stuff? Buncha assholes..
I don't even like them anymore, or trust them, or particulary care for them. Its has become a stupid relationship based on status where i need them to give me what i want, and they don't need me for anything, so i just wind up waiting. Since i want that shit i have to keep the money with me like i'm just safekeeping for them, once they deliver the whole season pass, specially this first one that's a gamechanger (New UI gfx, new moves, etc). Once they do. i'll be free from them and ill be able to give my money to those who actually deserve it.
SEGA has been doing a amazing job as of late, and if Yakuza Kiwami drops on pc first than their overpriced NJPW crap i'm definitely giving them all the whole 100+ bucks that i have on my wallet.
spike can go fuck itself.
