TIPWF: The Home Stretch - 7-22-2022 8:00 PM(CT) on Friday, July 22nd at the Stockade in Amarillo, TX Main Event: Mid Year Lariats and Legislators Qualifying Bout Titas Butkus vs. Hailey Comet The Cowboy Rides Into the Sunset Retirement Tour Cowboy Johnston vs. Lil' Lariato Dominican Golden Championship #1 Contender Bout Felice Santana vs. Ricky Scott TIPWF Trios Championship Prove It Match La Familia (Besos and Chico Con Carne with Rey de la Carne)(Wrestle Parade) vs. Team Hard Work(Fuyuki Takenaka and Rin Jokusato(Typhoon Pro) with the Everyman) TIPWF Old Guard Championship Bout Leander Grey(C)(Phoenix Rising) vs. Johnny Sixname Animal Farm(Lila Gila, Super Komodo and Corrina "Cobra" Schwall) vs. The Trio(The Mallard(MCCW), El Froggy Mask and Rodeo Angel) Valentina Verda with Martina Martinez and Vice Versa vs. Roland Chang III with Roland Chang Jr. and Roland Chang Sr. La Axolotl and Lutadora Festiva vs. "The New Humanity" Esteban Vargas and Florencia Espinoza with Salvador Sosa --- Programming Notes: -Titas Butkus's shocking upset loss to Hailey Comet at the last Golden Touch show led to the need for Butkus to defend his right to defend the Number One Ranking at Mid Year Lariats by taking on Comet a second time. Should Comet win, Butkus will face her, defending the TIPWF Lone Star Heavyweight title and will be stripped of the Number One Ranking. If Butkus wins, he will defend the Number One in the main event of Night Two of Lariats against the winner of the upcoming royale at this month's UCSS event. -Lucha POWER's Doctor Dorado will be watching closely as Felice Santana and Ricky Scott fight to see who will challenge him at Lariats for the venerable Dominican Golden Championship. -Team Hard Work will get a chance to earn a shot at La Familia for the Trios belts, but they will have to win a standard two on two tag match against Chico Con Carne and Rey De La Carne to do so. -Leander Grey has not defended his Old Guard Championship since prying it back off Felix Santana Sr. The Sentarl Family patriarch will dust off the belt here against Johnny Sixname, a former champion in his own right, for what should be a solid challenge.

A much needed momentum boost for the TIPWF, with an absolutely bonkers main event between Titas Butkus and Hailey Comet and strong matches across the rest of the card. RESULTS TIPWF: The Home Stretch - 7-22-2022 8:00 PM(CT) on Friday, July 22nd at the Stockade in Amarillo, TX Bonus Match Julio Rivera vs. Wesley Rakoto Two overlooked grapplers squared off in the bonus match, but this was Wesley Rakoto's moment to stand out, and the Madagascar native did just that, outpacing Rivera and landing a headscissors combo into his standing SSP for the three. Main Event: Mid Year Lariats and Legislators Qualifying Bout Titas Butkus vs. Hailey Comet An incredible, unexpected gem of a match, with Hailey Comet fearlessly brawling with her larger foe, running circles around the Lithuanian Bull at times and absolutely setting the pace from the beginning. However, with his Number One Ranking and reputation on the line, Titas Butkus dug deep and fought back, barely getting out of a late Badman Sleeper from Comet and finally hit several Bull Crush military press michinoku drivers, the last of which would give him the three count and secure his spot in the main event of Lariats Night Two. Absolutely one of the best Office matches of the year, by far one of the most intense matches seen anywhere in recent memory and one that somehow managed to surpass the high bar that Johnston-Lariato had set. The Cowboy Rides Into the Sunset Retirement Tour Cowboy Johnston vs. Lil' Lariato A spirited slugfest between two good friends took place here as Cowboy Johnston saw his final TIPWF match. Despite taking a beating on the outside and early on, Lil' Lariato was more than up to the challenge, eventually hitting his trademark vertical brainbuster-standing moonsault combination to get the three in a wonderful sendoff to one of the great champions in the promotion's history. Dominican Golden Championship #1 Contender Bout Felice Santana with Doctor Dorado(Lucha POWER vs. Ricky Scott with Gunny Lee Hart Interestingly, the current Dominican Golden Champion, Lucha POWER's Doctor Dorado was at ringside in Felice Santana's corner, certainly not an arrangement set up by the high flying contender. Gunny Lee Hart backed up his fellow Rudo Army member, Ricky Scott, and the two would wrestle a well-paced contest that ended in Scott picking up the three count after hitting a standing Frankenstanford.(a move that he really, really should change the name of, already) Ricky Scott will now have a chance to obtain a belt as he looks to take on Doctor Dorado at Lariats. TIPWF Trios Championship Prove It Match La Familia (Besos and Chico Con Carne with Rey de la Carne)(Wrestle Parade) vs. Team Hard Work(Fuyuki Takenaka and Rin Jokusato(Typhoon Pro) with the Everyman) A fun, quick moving match that felt like it went half the time it took, and while Fuyuki Takenaka may have been the MVP in general with her massive power moves, Besos would put the construction worker away with her classic lip lock. Afterwards, it appeared that Team Hard Work may actually receive their title shot, as well received as this match was. TIPWF Old Guard Championship Bout Leander Grey(C)(Phoenix Rising) vs. Johnny Sixname Leander Grey may have been the superior wrestler, but Johnny Sixname came to fight, and somehow managed to hold out long enough to hit his Death Wish cradle piledriver for the three count, becoming a two time TIPWF Old Guard champion. Animal Farm(Lila Gila, Super Komodo and Corrina "Cobra" Schwall) vs. The Trio(The Mallard(MCCW), El Froggy Mask and Rodeo Angel) After a number of months away, The Trio made a solid return here, fending off a determined Animal Farm team, with El Froggy pinning Super Komodo with the Tadpole Roll huracanrana jackknife combination. Valentina Verda with Martina Martinez and Vice Versa vs. Roland Chang III with Roland Chang Jr. and Roland Chang Sr. A great showing for Roland Chang III, who seemed to be in control for long periods of the bout, but Verda was not to be thwarted, stealing the Wrangler Bomb high angle cross powerbomb on the outside and eventually pinning the third generation Roland after a bionic elbow into a hip drop pin. La Axolotl and Lutadora Festiva vs. "The New Humanity" Esteban Vargas and Florencia Espinoza with Salvador Sosa The final result of this match wasn't the real takeaway, as Florencia Espinoza pinned Lutadora Festiva following a swanton Estrella Fugaz. The real story here was the New Humanity utterly wiping La Axolotl out with an Izuna Drop on the outside during an exchange where his foe was not currently tagged in. Axolotl was knocked out from the brutal move, forcing Festiva to finish out the match at a major disadvantage. --- Match of the Night: Butkus vs. Comet -As good as Johnston vs. Lariato was, this was one of the most intense, hard fought, evenly matched battles that the Office has seen in some time, and a star making showing for Hailey Comet. Performance of the Night: Titas Butkus, Hailey Comet -A must-win victory against a supremely determined opponent for Butkus, who gets his big win back from Comet...who also shares the Performance award for her own incredible efforts. --- Injury Report La Axolotl: Severe Concussion (Five Month Medical Suspension) -Izuna Dropped by the New Humanity, Axolotl will miss the rest of the year as a result. While her injuries were listed primarily as a severe concussion, it is almost certain that the luchadora had more secondary issues, none of which should impact her medical suspension nearly as much as the head injury.

Lightning Pro x Wacker Drive Revival: Preparations in Chi-Town - 7-29-2022 8:00 PM (CT) on Friday, July 29th at Wacker Drive Revival in Chicago, IL Main Event: The Loop Championship Bout The Syndicate(Lucretia DeCavalcante, Eddie the Wire and Tony the Rod)(C) vs. Blue Destiny(Jin Matsuda, Maki Yoshida and Yumi Yamiguchi Steve Phillips with Monica Tesfaye vs. Freight Train McMichaelson with Astrid Johannson Iceberg vs. Kevin Fitsharris with Anthony Kalb Mallory Spaulding with Kojiro Burai(Phoenix Rising) vs.Takayuki Ueda with Kaede Kinoshita "Showtime" Byron Worthy(Warrior Pro) and ARENA(Arisa Hashimoto and Rena LeBlanc) vs. House Of Nakajima(Nakajima Sama, Kyoko Nakajima and Kyosuke Nakajima)(Rose Garden) Georgia Eagles(Wrestle Parade) vs. Gary Gear with Adonis Avery Alexander Longguy Jordan Wright(Butterfloor) vs. Adonis Avery Alexander with Gary Gear Preliminary Main Event: The Cowboy Rides Into the Sunset Retirement Tour Cogburn Ranch(Cowboy Johnston, Hailey Comet, Duke Cogburn and 4-H Hoss Hank Harcourt Hadley Jr.) vs. The Destructive Duo(Crusher Honda and Wrecker Yamamoto), G.P. Christopher and Yuriko Masamune --- Programming Notes -The Syndicate were intially projected to defend The Loop at Lariats, but have agreed to do so a few weeks early to claim the main event for tonight's show. -Steve Phillips and Iceberg will both face members of the other's team one more time as they head into a confrontation at Lariats, with Phillips going up against Freight Train McMichaelson of the D-Team and Iceberg taking on Kevin Fitsharris of the Capitalists and the PAC. -Mallory Spaulding will stand in for her Pure Gold teammate, Kojiro Burai as Takayuki Ueda will for his fellow L-Pro Dojo graduate, the champion Kaede Kinoshita. The Stardust Angel will be defending her Victorious Medal against Burai at Lariats in a high profile defense, and is the clear underdog, even as she has carried on one of the best winning streaks in wrestling since defeating GP Christopher for the Medal. -Cowboy Johnston makes his penultimate regular Office showing here as he teams with his wife, Hailey, his mentor Duke Cogburn and his protege, Hoss Hank Harcourt Hadley Jr, going up against a stacked team of GPC, Yuriko Masamune and the Destructive Duo. Reportedly, the Duo will be looking to debut a revamped wardrobe soon, making this their last Office match in their classic attires.

An overall decent event that set things up well for Lariats and featured one of the most shocking upsets of the year. RESULTS Lightning Pro x Wacker Drive Revival: Preparations in Chi-Town - 7-29-2022 8:00 PM (CT) on Friday, July 29th at Wacker Drive Revival in Chicago, IL Bonus Match Rimi Kondo with Rumika Hashi vs. "The Star of the Show" Naoka Takemura A match far, far, far longer than it had any right to be as the rookie, Kondo and the relatively inexperienced Takemura seemed to find it nearly impossible to finish things up. Takemura appeared to relish her time in the spotlight, even landing her own take on Kondo's spinning hook kick, but it would eventualy be a grounded hydrangea submission that would score a much needed win for Naoka, perhaps demonstrating that while she may be a rough prospect, she has the potential to improve. Main Event: The Loop Championship Bout The Syndicate(Lucretia DeCavalcante, Eddie the Wire and Tony the Rod)(C) vs. Blue Destiny(Jin Matsuda, Maki Yoshida and Yumi Yamiguchi A pattern seems to be emerging with the Syndicate's grip on The Loop. Once again, the Syndicate find themselves outfought by their opponents, only holding onto their trophy due to the mandatory forty five minute time limit. Blue Destiny seemed well on their way to a win, with Jin Matsuda eliminating Eddie the Wire with a half nelson bomb. And while Lucretia DeCavalcante curb stomped Maki Yoshida to even the odds, the Syndicate still felt extremely lucky to hold out long enough to avoid a definitive loss. Office management may end up having to push for a modification in the rules to prevent another one of these unsatisfying outcomes. Steve Phillips with Monica Tesfaye vs. Freight Train McMichaelson with Astrid Johannson With unexpected pressure on to outdo his impending opponent, Steve Phillips stepped up as he has many times before, overcoming a motivated Freight Train McMichaelson before clamping on the Victory Lock III crossleg crossarm hold for a routine submission win. Iceberg vs. Kevin Fitsharris with Anthony Kalb One of the great upsets in recent Office memory, as Kevin Fitsharris refused to allow Iceberg to steamroll him as he has so many others. Fitsharris utilized every veteran trick in the game and importantly, opened a cut on his opponent's head fairly early in the match. While it took an incredible effort from there, Fitsharris was up for the task, punishing Iceberg for underestimating his opponent, and after running him out, a running leg lariat would put Charles Berg down for a three count. A disasterous result leading into Lariats, but if Iceberg can defeat Steve Phillips there, this can be seen as more of an anomaly than the ominous sign that it currently seems to be. Mallory Spaulding with Kojiro Burai(Phoenix Rising) vs.Takayuki Ueda with Kaede Kinoshita For all of Takayuki Ueda's incredible talent and undeniable fighting spirit, this was simply a case of "too much, too early." Ueda put forth an honest effort, but Mallory Spaulding was able to impose her game as the match went along, headhunting for her trademark german suplex hold and eventually catching Ueda with the bridge to gain the pinfall win with Kojiro Burai and Kaede Kinoshita watching from ringside. "Showtime" Byron Worthy(Warrior Pro) and ARENA(Arisa Hashimoto and Rena LeBlanc) vs. House Of Nakajima(Nakajima Sama, Kyoko Nakajima and Kyosuke Nakajima)(Rose Garden) A strong showing for the House of Nakajima, who defeated Byron Worthy and the Victorious Tag Medal number one contenders when Nakajima Sama hit a twisting DDT on Rena LeBlanc. Georgia Eagles(Wrestle Parade) with Flex Steele(Wrestle Parade) vs. Gary Gear with Adonis Avery Alexander A thrillng power struggle between two of the strongest in the game, but while Gear came close on multiple chances, Eagles would respond with her Fall From Glory jackhammer to a close call on Gear's Anabolic Bomb, giving the Wrestle Parade icon a big win in one of the most exciting matches on the show. Longguy Jordan Wright(Butterfloor) vs. Adonis Avery Alexander with Gary Gear The Longguy was in incredible form here, enduring the powerful, explosive attacks of Adonis Avery Alexander and turning the tide with high angle chokeslams off the ropes and eventually landing a running sling blade for the pinfall. It certainly did NOT help that Gary Gear did one of his usual sabotage jobs at ringside, distracting at all the worst times and none of the ones where he could have helped. Preliminary Main Event: The Cowboy Rides Into the Sunset Retirement Tour Cogburn Ranch(Cowboy Johnston, Hailey Comet, Duke Cogburn and 4-H Hoss Hank Harcourt Hadley Jr.) vs. The Destructive Duo(Crusher Honda and Wrecker Yamamoto), G.P. Christopher and Yuriko Masamune A match that never seemed to shift into a higher gear with GP Christopher blasting Duke Cogburn with a shining wizard, and somehow the Cogburn Ranch team could not make the save, despite the pin taking place closer to their side than not. Perhaps not the best showing for the Cowboy's last match teaming with some of his closest people in wrestling, but there were no injuries, at the very least. --- Match of the Night: Eagles vs. Gear -A classic slobberknocker of a hoss fest with Gear surprisingly able to keep pace and Eagles managing to match power for power. Performance of the Night: Kevin Fitsharris -Kevin Fitsharris's shocking win over Iceberg was one of the biggest upsets of the year, anywhere.

UCSS: Lariats Fight Camp - 8-5-2022 8:00 on Friday, August 8th at the Doors of Perception in Los Angeles, CA Main Event: Senatorial Office Number One Ranking Contendership Royale Zin Win Aye vs. King Bemba(Lightning Pro) vs. Tarkhan the Mangler(Lightning Pro) vs. Walid Alizadeh The Cowboy Rides Into The Sunset Retirement Tour Cowboy Johnston(TIPWF) vs. ??? Hakim Fields and Andronicus Turner vs. Team ENAHNCE(Jeff and Neil)(ENHANCE) Thiago Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu(Jamie Tomasi and Angie Armstrong) and American Apex(Keith Van Horne and Lamont Aldren)(Wrestle Parade) vs. Bunch'a Amateurs(Cody Sheppard and Zak Hayes)(Butterfloor) and World Famous Savage-Do(Oleg Makos and Count Savage) Chun Zheng(Neutral Ground) vs. Lanna Ndi "The Dragon Prince" Drake Elliott IV(Wrestle Parade) vs. Seong Jung Hwan Johnny Warning(Rose Garden) vs. Gentleman Jem Gladstone Anatoly Shkuro Debut Match Anatoly Shkuro vs. Onika Santos Virgina Caldwell(Phoenix Rising) vs. Renate Barlowe --- Programming Notes: -Zin Win Aye may have technically earned the main event challenge for Lariats, but management overruled the Quest for the Best tournament result due to the Burmese Lethwei Deathmatch Machine's questionable headbutt flurries, and instead, Aye will now find himself in the mix with three of the biggest, most dangerous men in the entire Office to earn the right once more to face Titas Butkus. -Hakim Fields and Andronicus Turner may have an impending title match, but first, they will have the pleasure of competing against ENHANCE's finest. Can the two co-exist long enough to take care of business? -Cowboy Johnston's final foe on standard Office programming reportedly will feature a guest legend. The rumor mill has churned up a number of names, but the main idea is that this will be a major challenge for Johnston. -Anatoly Shkuro makes his debut on this show. Shkuro is a Ukranian Cossack and a representative of the Combat Hopak style. Some who have observed his style in a European indy promotion noted that Shkuro often tries to impose his high flying approach even into situations that might not call for it. -A feast awaits for Wrestle Parade fans, as the upcoming UCSS Tag Title challengers, American Apex team with the champs, Thiago Gracie BJJ to go up against a team of Butterfloor's infamous Bunch'a Amateurs and the even more hated team of World Famous Savage-Do. Additionally, the famed technician, the Dragon Prince, Drake Elliott IV shows up for the first time in the Office to go up against Tae Kwan Do sensation, Seong Jung Hwan.

A brutal night of knockouts and slugfests that saw a definitive challenger set for Titas Butkus, a hardcore classic for one of Cowboy Johnston's last matches and some strong showings for title holders and challengers alike. RESULTS UCSS: Lariats Fight Camp - 8-5-2022 8:00 on Friday, August 8th at the Doors of Perception in Los Angeles, CA Main Event: Senatorial Office Number One Ranking Contendership Royale Zin Win Aye vs. King Bemba(Lightning Pro) vs. Tarkhan the Mangler(Lightning Pro) vs. Walid Alizadeh Aside from an early out for Zin Win Aye thanks to a Walid backslide, this ended up being a hossfest marathon that went close to an hour, all three men kicking out of some of the biggest moves in the industry for much of the duration. Eventually, Walid was able to send the Mangler packing with a camel clutch, and knocked out King Bemba after a powerbomb at close to the sixty minute mark to earn his shot at Titas Butkus and the Number One Ranking at the main event of Lariats Night Two. The Cowboy Rides Into The Sunset Retirement Tour: Barbed Wire Deathmatch Cowboy Johnston(TIPWF) vs. Kerry Texan(AAW) The legendary Kerry Texan ended up answering the call for the Cowboy's last standard televised match on Office programming, and the two fought in a barbed wire deathmatch. As it was, the two put on a hardcore clinic for the ages, absolutely stealing the show in a bloodbath of a match that went back and forth, both bleeding across the ring and swinging weapons. While Texan hit some big moves including a particuarily vicious piledriver, it would be Johnston walking away after he hit an Amarillo Sunset brainbuster lariat to leave Texan sprawled out on the mat, knocked out. This will likely be the sort of match that the PEWA will show future rookies for an example of excellence between the barbed wire ropes. Hakim Fields and Andronicus Turner vs. Team ENAHNCE(Shrimp Simpson, Jeff and Neil)(ENHANCE) Surprisingly, Shrimp Simpson volunteered to join Team ENHANCE in this tornado elimination bout, but, aside from trying to pin a face down Andronicus Turner, made little difference, eliminated early on by Hakim Fields after a punt kick to the head. Andronicus Turner struck next, putting Neil down after a massive right hand to the head. While Jeff managed to hold on for a decent while, a swift combination from Turner put him down for good, giving the champ and the challenger their win. Thiago Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu(Jamie Tomasi and Angie Armstrong) and American Apex(Keith Van Horne and Lamont Aldren)(Wrestle Parade) vs. Bunch'a Amateurs(Cody Sheppard and Zak Hayes)(Butterfloor) and World Famous Savage-Do(Oleg Makos and Count Savage) Wild match despite the showcase rules, and it seemed that Lamont Aldren and Jamie Tomasi simply outclassed their opposition by themselves, Aldren landing a metric ton of suplexes, including several on and off the apron, and Tomasi submitting a hapless Cody Shepard with (what else) an armbar after the Amateur tried to take top position on the mat. Both Thiago Gracie BJJ and American Apex looked ready for their contest in this one. Chun Zheng(Neutral Ground) with Gang Wong vs. Lanna Ndi A hard hitting, fast paced slugfest between two multi-skilled strikers, with Lanna Ndi earning the win late in the third with a TKO series of punches to stop the match. Bonus Match Aline Richelieu vs. Seong Jung Hwan A much more competitive match than the one that preceded it, with utter ferocious domination from an enraged Richelieu, but Seong fought her way back in with a series of speedy flurries at the end of the second round and another tremendous combination finishing with a tornado roundhouse would knock Richelieu out in the third. Another double win night from one of UCSS's agile young ladies, and it seems as if Seong Jung Hwan and Onika Santos may be in line for a contender match before long. "The Dragon Prince" Drake Elliott IV(Wrestle Parade) with Aline Richelieu vs. Seong Jung Hwan A second round knockout win for Seong Jung Hwan thanks to a speedy head kick managed to enrage Drake Elliott IV's admirer at ringside... Johnny Warning(Rose Garden) vs. Gentleman Jem Gladstone Excellent match with Jem Gladstone coming close to a ten count win on multiple occasions, but Johnny Warning showed his toughness, holding on long enough to land a half hatch suplex in the fourth round for his own ten count off an impressive, unlikely comeback. Frank Van Sloan vs. Onika Santos With Onika Santos still wanting another challenge for the night, the Belgian Uberkicker, Frank Van Sloan stepped up on short notice. Van Sloan fought well in this match, but again, Onika Santos demonstrated her remarkable Capoeira style, pinning her foe after a hand standing tiger feint kick for her second win of the night, wrapping up a remarkable showing for the evening. Anatoly Shkuro Debut Match Anatoly Shkuro vs. Onika Santos The hype behind the Splendid Cossack filled the Doors of Perception, but the high flying Ukranian could not showcase his skills as Onika Santos brought him down with a handstand kick in two minutes and eight seconds into the match. Not the most distinguished of debuts... Virgina Caldwell(Phoenix Rising) vs. Renate Barlowe A credible showing for Caldwell, who kept pace with the veteran Barlowe for two rounds, but Renate's experience and killer instinct won out in the end with a third round Mercenary Lock heel hold submission. --- Match of the Night: Johnston vs. Texan -A tough call with the hard hitting main event and the great comeback of Warning-Gladstone, but Cowboy and Kerry Texan simply outclassed everyone with this classic of a match. Performance of the Night: Walid Alizadeh -Onika Santos and Seong Jung Hwan were both close calls here with their double win nights, but Walid not only won his opportunity in the main event, but eliminated all three opponents to do so in an even more impressive showing to earn the Performance award. --- Injury Report Anatoly Shkuro: Mild Concussion (Two Month Medical Suspension) -A terrible, awful setback for the debuting prospect, but Shkuro should be back well in time to take part on UCSS's portion of the Pan African Tour. Drake Elliott IV: Unknown (No Medical Records Available) -Drake Elliott IV took a kick to the head and went down quickly, but some suggest that the ref stoppage may have been overly cautious, and Aline Richelieu's subsequent response rushed him out of the ring as she challenged Seong Jung Hwan. Aline Richelieu: Unknown (No Diagnosis) -As usual, Richelieu refused treatment after she recovered from a Seong Jung Hwan head kick, and as such, will not be suspended under Office protocol. Jeff: Mild Concussion (Two Month Medical Suspension) -Knocked out by a two punch combo from Andronicus Turner, the ENHANCE jobber will sit several months out, most likely missing no substantial opportunities from the Office. Kerry Texan: Unknown (No Medical Record Available) -An Amarillo Sunset from Cowboy Johnston finished Texan, and while a concussion might have been involved, it seems that the cantankerous veteran might have been dealing more with old neck injuries than head trauma, based on his post show behavior around the media. King Bemba: Wind Knocked Out (No Medical Suspension) -A powerbomb from Walid Alizadeh finished the Ugandan, but it seems that Bemba will be ready for action well before the beginning of this year's Pan African Tour.

And we're here! The big two day Thursday and Friday night mid year maelstrom with some of the most important matchups of the year and a true turning point for the Senatorial Office and its Affiliate Promotions! Do note that Night One starts half an hour earlier than the usual Office events. Mid Year Lariats and Legislators 2022 Night Two8:00 PM (CT) on Friday, August 12th at Club Minos in Atlantic City, NJ Main Event: Senatorial Office Number One Ranking Bout Titas Butkus(C) vs. Walid Alizadeh The scene for the Number One seemed to be well settled as Titas Butkus conquered Colossus Rhodes and the Quest for the Best was progressing smoothly for his contender. Then came the infamous Golden Touch #22, with Zin Win Aye controversially winning the tournament through questionable methods and Titas Butkus suffering his first loss in a massive short notice upset against Hailey Comet. While the Office would take efforts to salvage things, giving Butkus a successful(and highly rated) rematch with Comet and forcing Aye to fight to maintain his contendership, things certainly had taken a turn for the worse. Walid Alizadeh would emerge from a royale to defeat Zin Win Aye, along with King Bemba and Tarkhan the Mangler to earn his shot at the top. Now, two of the biggest powerhouses in wrestling will face off as Butkus defends his top ranking against the Persian Powerhouse.
Walid Alizadeh: For a long time, I have told you all that Walid is Number One! Now I can prove it!
Titas Butkus: Sure. You say that. But you have to win. I'm not seeing that happening here.
Walid: Why can't you? I am big and strong! I am the Persian Powerhouse! I throw big men around for much of my life! I can throw you just as easy!
Titas: You come in here talking your game. But that's easy. You fluked your way in here. You already lost to Zin Win Aye, one on one. You got nothing to lose.
Walid: Hah, you are the champion! You have the pressure!
Titas: Nope. I got an idea. Let's get you some skin in the game. You and me, let's fight for one more thing here. Beard...vs...beard.
Walid: I will not cut my beard! I will beat you, and become the Number One, but I will not cut my beard!
Titas: Fine. Then beat me, and you don't have to. But if I beat you, that beard goes away.
Walid: You will not see that! You will see me defeating you, and then you will not see your beard any more! I accept your terms! And I will look forward to taking your beard...and taking the Number One!
Titas: You talk too much.
With those words, Titas Butkus stepped past his podium to Walid's, standing face to face with his upcoming foe. Both men pushed forward, as security started to close in, until Walid muttered a few words, resulting in Butkus shoving him back a few steps. The Iranian expatriate jumped right back in with a waistlock clinch, trying to throw Butkus off the stage, but instead, the two circled around, inadvertantly clobbering several security guards in their fracas, tumbling back and knocking a podium over before Walid connected on a brutal belly to belly throw onto the floor. The Persian Powerhouse stood up, yelling, only to find that Titas Butkus had jumped right up from the impact, landing a huge shoulder tackle that sent both men flying off the stage, into the row of vacated chairs in the media row. Before the two could resume their mad brawl, security finally managed to step in, with Anthony Kalb standing between the two, and a gaggle of guards holding both competitors back while Kalb motioned for more to help haul the two away.
Anthony Kalb: You saw it here, nothing can stop these two forces of nature, our Number One Ranked Titas Butkus, and the challenger, Walid Alizadeh, both men are ready for battle, and promise to present a battle for the ages. Catch it all at Lariats and Legislators, right on the Senatorial Streaming Service! Alright, guys, get them apart, please...
The Cowboy Rides Into The Sunset Retirement Tour Final Match Cowboy Johnston vs. Doc Wyatt(Warrior Pro) The final match in Cowboy Johnston's storied career is here. After an impressive retirement tour that cut across multiple promotions and the entire Senatorial Office, Johnston will finally hang up the boots after one last match with one of his greatest rivals, Warrior Pro's Doc Wyatt. The feud between Johnston and his Cogburn Ranch and Wyatt, and his former Jackson Hole Outlaw stable was well documented, a bitter rivalry that was as chaotic and disruptive as any in the last five years. Wyatt may have left the Outlaws behind, and he may have a selective, but dedicated fanbase these days, but he has not changed his nefarious ways in the slightest, and the motivation to spoil Johnston's career ender may be motivation equal or greater than a championship for the calculating veteran.
Cowboy Johnston: Well, ah gotta say, it's been a damn good run, that it has. Gotta thank all mah friends an foes from 'round the wrasslin' world fer givin' me one last run 'round these last few months. All mah folks here at home, over in Phonenix Risin', the Rose Garden, Blue Thundah, Buttahfloor, all of y'all an' more gave me everythin' ah coulda asked for. But ah got one more, an it's one hellova last 'un to close out with! Doc Wyatt, yah sonova bitch, ah'm gonna whip your ass halfway 'cross the country back ta' Texas, an' halfway again right up tah yer own home there in Cali! You an' me, we shore had sum battles through the years, an ah can't right tolerate givin' yah the last word in this here feud! I recall the stuff yah started wit' mah wife Hailey, wit all mah folks in the TIPWF, an if yah think the years made mah any less pissed, then yah gotta change yer thinkin! Ah just put Kerry Texan down with mah Amarillo Sunset, ah just beat George Radley an' ah got the best a' Blake Storm, so if yah think ah'm past mah prime, then ah cain't wait to change yer damn mind!
Cowboy: Ah ain't callin' it a day 'cause ah cain't do this no more, ah'm walkin' away while ah still can, so ah can raise mah kids an' find mahself ah new chapter in mah life. But 'fore ah can do that...ah gotta take care of business one last time. So, Doc, ah know yah got a burnin' desire to put mah career to an end on yah own terms. But ah ain't give yah that glory. So, Doc, yah wanna go one last time out there...just yew be careful what yah asked fer...cause ah might just give it to yah!
Lightning Pro Victorious Medal Bout Kaede Kinoshita(C) vs. Kojiro Burai(Phoenix Rising) Kaede Kinoshita has been nothing short of a world class top tier star since she defeated GPC for the Victorious Medal, picking up wins against the likes of Koji Sawada and Steve Phillips since. On the same turbo charged path to the top. Phoenix Rising's Kojiro Burai has been nearly invincible since winning the Pacific Northwest Championship in his home promotion, following the momentum he began to build on his Lightning Pro visits. Now, Burai looks to follow the path back to his catalyst, challenging for the Victorious Medal. This is a match between two of the best young stars that wrestling has seen in some time, both exceptional athletes, both well rounded in their skillsets, and a match of the year candidate would not be unexpected here.
Kaede Kinoshita: (Translated from Japanese) <Kojiro Burai, you represent the ultimate challenge! You and I can be stars for another decade if we keep fighting this well. We both have made the absolute best of our talent and our opportunity and we can both get even better if we try. To me, this is the best opportunity to see exactly how good I can be right now and I know you see this in the same way. Every time I fight, I find another way to improve. I see you do the same in your matches. But I cannot let you become better than me! I cannot give you the advantage in our comparison. I cannot give you the Medal. I will fight you kick for kick if I must. I will fly like the Stardust Angel that I strive to be. I will do everything I can to be better than you are. I tell you this because i have no doubt that you see me as someone you can beat to become a double champion. But I want you to realize that I see you as an opportunity to get my chance at the Number One! We can both rise higher! But do not think you will rise over my head!>
PEWA Extreme Title Bout The Hindu Sheik(C) vs. Moustapha Ndour One of the most heralded hardcore warriors in wrestling history, the first ever CAWF Heavyweight Champion, the Hindu Sheik shocked the world when he became a full time PEWA roster member, winning the PEWA Extreme title and overcoming the terror of Young Blood in the process. While the PEWA has emphasized its incredible tag division over the last year, the Warbringers both found a great deal of singles success in the duration, with Demarcus Browning earning a superb reign with the Ruler of the Road title and Moustapha Ndour managing to earn a shot at the Extreme belt. Ndour's run in the Sakura Pro Grand Prix has also been a highlight in recent months, with the Warbringer looking more prepared than ever to challenge for the top prize.
Sylvain "Pay Day" Mint: As the spokesman and founder of Pay Day Enterprizes, I am here to speak for the Hindu Sheik. This is a man who has proven himself in every situation you can imagine. This is a man who has survived some of the most brutal matchups and talented opponents that promotions could throw at him. He braved the likes of Ajax, Armageddon and Mr. USA, he's fought in backyards, bingo halls and arenas alike. He paid his dues, and he made it count. He is a true originator, he is absolutely part of the core of hardcore, he is a champion worthy of the storied history of the PEWA Extreme title. Moustapha Ndour is no slouch, I'll admit, but with all the success he's had, people forget Ndour is barely more than a rookie. He doesn't have the years of expereince the Sheik has. He hasn't faced the adversity, or proven himself to the same degree. And when we compete at the absolute highest level of extreme mayhem, you need to know exactly what you can take. Moustapha could get there some day. But that's not today.
---
Moustapha Ndour: I heard what Mint said.
Renate Barlowe: He's just doing what he's paid to do. Doing his job, earning his money. I respect that.
Ndour: You can respect that, but it pisses me off! He says I don't have what it takes.
Barlowe: He did.
Ndour: He talks about all the people the Sheik beat, but none of them have what I've got.
Barlowe: Keep your head in the game. Don't listen to empty words, just make your actions count. And get yourself paid.
Ndour: Don't worry about that, I got this. Hindu Sheik's a big name, and yeah, I know that means big money if I can win. Eyes on the prize, I got that, but you know, what I really want is to get this win so I can get one up on Demarcus. He had that run with the Ruler, and I gotta do one better than him.
Barlowe: So you can get a bigger check from Bodybreaker. That's it. It's a business, we're here to make money, nothing more, nothing less
Ndour: Nope, I want it so I can rub it in Demarcus's face and then we can go win the tag belts, too, and I can be the biggest name in the game! You don't think that doesn't get me paid?
Barlowe: It would.
Ndour: But what's the point of getting paid if you don't have fun? I'm gonna have fun out there, and that's why I think I will win this belt.
UCSS Openweight Title Bout Hakim Fields(C) vs. Andronicus Turner Two of the most potent forces in Universal Combat Shoot Style history will meet up for the second time to battle over the Openweight title. Hakim Fields earned his championship in his debut match, putting an end to the impressive reign of Andronicus Turner. Now, as Fields regained the championship, he will face a resurgent Turner who has looked like a one man knockout machine as of late. The 52 Blocks and the Sweet Science will be tested once more.
Hakim Fields: Hey, Turner, you remember the way this went the last time, don't you? You better have something new this time around.
Andronicus Turner: I know this much, I know I've seen you lose since then and now. That's the fun thing about the game of human chess, every time someone plays, you see their moves, you learn what they bring to the table. Last time, I didn't know what you had to bring. Now, I got you downloaded, I got your moves in my head, I know exactly what to expect.
Fields: I ain't gonna lie, nothing I do is all that fancy. I don't go flipping around, I don't throw wire assisted jump kicks or eight punch combinations. What you see is what you get. Simple. Effective. Way I see it, this one comes down to who's better at fighting their fight. Problem is, your game is throwing punches in a controlled environment. My game is surviving everything the other guy has to offer and walking away intact.
Turner: That's cool, you fight to live, I fight to win.
Fields: Last time, I think I managed both pretty well.
Turner: That was before, this is now. It's time the Kronk Legacy got rolling again here in UCSS, this match is just the beginning, once I'm done beating the brakes off you, I'm going for the Number One, right away. Not like last time where I just wanted to hold onto the Openweight, this time, I'm going to get the belt, get the Ranking and then I'm going back to boxing where I can get the real big money fights on my terms.
Fields: That's cool. Look, when you come from where I come from, you realize you can hustle all you want, keep all that ambition in your head. You're a boxer in your core, I get that. But you don't get how good you have it here. I don't want what happened to me to happen to anyone else, it was a miscarriage of justice, I spent a decade behind bars, framed up for something I had nothing to do with. Not saying you had an easy route, but you didn't go through what I went through. Me, I'm just thankful I can stand here, free as a bird, with a purpose in my life and gold on my shoulder. I don't need anything more than that. If I get the opportunity for more, I'll jump on it. But I'm good being the best that UCSS has to offer.
Turner: Nah, I get it, you've been through stuff. You get here, and you're just glad that you're somebody in society again. But you know, that's where you're gonna stall out, because you're alright stopping here. Me, I don't stop here. That doesn't mean I don't care about being the Openweight champ again. It just means that when you want to be the best, you always have motivation to be more than you are, more than you thought you were. And I'm not stopping until you become another step on my ladder to the top.
Steve Phillips vs. Iceberg A feud that began with several individual events; the formation of Steve Phillips's PAC and the subsequent return to title contention for the former Senator, and Iceberg's victory in Pro Wrestling Revival's Fullbug Classic memorial tournament. Both actions put the two on a colission course, with Phillips and Iceberg both finding themselves in a royale with the result determing a challenger for the Victorious Medal. Phillips would end up winning the match and submitting Charles Berg in the process, leaving the once-undefeated phenom humiliated in the process. Iceberg would vow to gain his win back and as such, both Phillips and Iceberg would spend months facing each other's allies, a process that would shockingly include a loss to Kevin Fitsharris for Iceberg. Now, with all distractions cleared out of the way, the titan and the politican will finally have the final word in their confrontation.
Iceberg: I'm not making any excuses. Yeah, I lost to that little sidekick. It is what it is, I looked past him, I got caught with a lucky shot, and I burnt out too quick. He was tougher than I expected. But you know what? I'm not looking past Steve Phillips. I've been ready for this fight for a long time now. This time, there's no turning back, I either win this and I get back to where I need to be...or I lose and you can write me off. So, Phillips, you know how badly I need to win this? It's just you and me, do or die! Nobody else is in the way, and you're next!
---
Steve Phillips: Let me first briefly state that Mister Berg is indeed a foe worthy of my time and effort, and I by no means do I take the result of this match for granted. All it takes to lose against the man they call Iceberg is to make one mistake. But I do not intend to make such a mistake. There is a good chance that the remainder of the matches in my career are numbered by now. Do not get me wrong, I shall continue forth as far as these straining sinews and calcifying joints shall take me. It is acutely obvious that I must make the very best of every opportunity granted upon me. I know this much to be true, I will not plan for any spectacle of a retirement match when the conclusion arrives. I shall simply push ahead and fight as if each match is the last. And that, my friends, is nothing...but the truth.
Hana Brightly MILF Hunter Tour Culminating Match Hana Brightly(Wrestle Parade) vs. ??? Hana Brightly's MILF Hunter Tour has spanned multiple promotions over several months, and is reported to come to a grand conclusion against a mystery opponent. While Brightly has had some early success in her tour, obliterating the likes of Elle Barrett, a shocking loss to Hailey Comet slowed the momentum considerably. However, word has it that not only is Brightly's foe a debuting competitor, but she may even be competing in her first televised match outright.
PEWA Extreme Tag Title Bout The New Mutants(PM Carnage and The EMP) vs. Neon Knights(Holy Diver and Supernaut) A match half a year in the making with the PEWA champions, the New Mutants finally defending against one of the greatest teams in Office history in the Neon Knights. The New Mutants have well estabslished themselves as the best team in a stacked division, having picked up from their legendary mentors, the Bingo Hall Mutants, who were arch rivals with the Knights in the early days of the Office. For Holy Diver and Supernaut, this could be a chance to return to prominence, perhaps even a last chance for the veteran pair to earn gold.
Holy Diver: We are Neon Knights! We are protectors of the realm! Good things never last, but we come back again, and again!
Supernaut: ...
Holy Diver: Maybe this is the last ride of the legions of the brave! But we will fight to the end! We will win or we will die!
Supernaut...
---
PM Carnage: Screw this, we don't have much to say.
The EMP: Nope.
Carnage: We don't care about talking. We just fight.
EMP: We just win.
Carnage: And win.
The EMP: And win...
Preliminary Main Event G.P. Christopher vs. Fresh Fuji(Rose Garden) One of the most popular and successful rising stars on the current scene would be none other than Sakura Pro's Hip Hoppin' Fresh Fuji. Combining undeniable style with upper echelon technical skills, Fuji has been nothing short of a phenomenon. As such, he has earned the prestigious Preliminary Main Event spot opposite G.P. Christopher on Night Two, in a match that will almost certainly be a crowd pleaser no matter what the results end up being.
G.P. Christopher: So, I got one more Preliminary Main, and this one's gonna be cool as it gets. Fresh Fuji's the future, I'm gonna tell anyone who can listen, this guy is seriously going to be the biggest star in the game at some point. But the problem is, he's not there yet. And part of the reason for that is that I'm still the King of the Openers, I'm still the Hardest Working Man in the Industry. And I'm not gonna roll over and give Fuji a win here, no matter how many times he tries to bait me into a fireman carry or go for one of those flash pins. You want this, Fuji, you can't just ride the hype, you gotta earn it the hard way, you gotta experience the Philly Strong Style. If you can do that, then you know what, then you've arrived for real. But don't think just because you're headed up with the rocket strapped to your back that it's a given...and hey, Doolittle, you better give this at least a ninety or I'm tracking you down again!
--- Mid Year Lariats and Legislators 2022 Night One7:30 PM (CT) on Thursday, August 11th at Club Minos in Atlantic City, NJ Main Event: Lightning Pro Victorious Tag Medal Bout The Destructive Duo(Crusher Honda and Wrecker Yamamoto)(C) vs. ARENA(Arisa Hashimoto and Rena LeBlanc) One of the longest reigning teams in the Office, the Destructive Duo will reportedly debut a new look for their defense in the main event for the first night of action, as they go up against a popular new team on the scene in ARENA. In spite of the PAC pair's injury history,
Arisa Hashimoto: This will be fun!
Rena LeBlanc: You know, 'Risa, you an' me, we can go out there and just party on, or we can listen to all those spoilsports and just roll over and die. I know what my choice is!
Arisa: Hit the clubs!
Rena: Nah, we don't hit the clubs, we bring the clubs to the ring, an' we show the Duo we ain't scared one bit of them! Then we hit the clubs, with our shiny new Medals!
Arisa: I like this idea!
---
Wrecker Yamamoto: (Translated from Japanese) <Tall skinny girls have a lot of nerve!>
Crusher Honda: <We'll snap them in half like a pair of pretty twigs!>
Wrecker: <Don't stare too much at them!>
Crusher: <Hah! You know they're not my type!>
Wrecker: <Don't make me work out even more! I can't look like that no matter how much I work!>
Crusher: <You think I want you to shrink yourself? You have hit your head too many times!>
Wrecker: <Anyway, we're both going to look good now!>
Crusher: <I don't care about looking good! I just care about breaking people and destroying everybody who tries to take what's ours!>
Wrecker: <I don't care that you don't care, we both look good now! No more stale old clothes! We'll smear these with blood now! But it'll be fresh blood on new attire!>
Crusher: <Fresh blood...I'm fine with that!>
Dominican Golden Championship Bout Doctor Dorado(Lucha POWER)(C) vs. Ricky Scott The surprise win of Doctor Dorado to capture the vacant Dominican Golden Championship sent shockwaves through the TIPWF as the Lucha POWER legend held the former Santana Family Wrestling prize, once again depriving the TIPWF of one of its main titles after Titas Butkus had retrieved them from Colossus Rhodes and Golden Touch Promotions. Now, the former Stanford Bradley Jr. has his chance to "win all the belts" after defeating Felice Santana in a contendership match to earn his shot at Dorado.
Gunny Lee Hart: Aaaaateeen hut! It has come to my attention that once again, one of our fine belts has been captured and is currently being held in enemy territory! And as the drill instructor of the Rudo Army, it is my honor and my duty to ensure that one of our own has every possible advantage on his mission!
Ricky Scott: Yeah, the mission. Go get the belts. All the belts.
Salvador Sosa: My man, Ricky, you sure aren't a man of words. But if there's one thing I know that for his lack of vocabulary, Ricky Scott doesn't lack in ability. Just ask Felice Santana about that. Doctor Dorado, I respect you. You're someone who knows his way between the ropes, you've been a big time name in Lucha Libre for decades. Anyone who knows what's up knows that you're someone to take seriously any time you show up. If I was still able to go, I know I'd want a chance at this match, and I know it'd be a worthy challenge. But life is what it is, and this is Ricky's time to shine. Dorado, you do what you do out there, but I promise you, you've never seen someone who's as outright hungry as this man here.
Ricky: Gimmie the belts, already.
Sosa: This man is flat out starving for gold! Do you think you can stand in his way? I don't care how good you are, how many masks you've taken, how many people you've beaten, you don't know what you're going to be in for, you don't have a clue just what Ricky Scott is going to unleash! Ricky's ready for a feast!
Ricky: A feast...of belts!
Sosa: Ricky, Ricky, Ricky...let's close this out properly. Doc Dorado, you had your fun here in the TIPWF, you added another prize to the trophy case. But all good things come to an end, and for you, the good times are about to come to a close. Ricky Scott's on the rise and sorry for you, but that means you're on the decline. I know what it's like to be on the outside looking in, and I know what it's like to be focused like a laser beam, and I can guarantee that Ricky Scott is going to cut right through you like a laser, and he's bringing home the bacon when he doe...
Ricky: I ain't gettin' no bacon, I'm getting me my belt!
Sosa: ...yeah, you know, I think we'll just see you at Lariats, Dorado.
Crew Carnage PEWA's Most Hated(Young Blood, "Party Animal" Jeremy Wylde, Jeffrey Janson and Zanca) vs. Bodybreaker Brown, Sylvain "Pay Day" Mint, Shrieking Sheik and Hobo Harry) The expanded PEWA's Most Hated have picked a fight with pretty much everyone else in the organization as of late, and the PEWA President, Bodybreaker Brown will team with three fellow veterans, with his good friend, Hobo Harry and Pay Day Enterprizes bringing Sylvain Mint and the legendary Shrieking Sheik by his side to duel with Young Blood and his crew. Crew Carnage matches are generally a mess at best, with the four on four tornado elimination no disqualifications ruleset guaranteeing chaos, and this could well be even more violent than the usual Carnage.
Bodybreaker Brown: Everyone told me I was outta my mind when I brought that asshole, Young Blood back into the PEWA. And I get it, really, I get it. If I were on the outside looking in, I'd think I lost it. But here's the thing. I knew this fight would happen some point or another, and this way, I get it on my terms. I'm not Biff Taylor. I'm still plenty capable of kicking ass and bringing the good ol' ultraviolence. I know if we just kept Young Blood on the outside, he'd find some way to come back and wreak some havoc whether we let him in the front doors or not. So, let's settle this, I got the Hobo, the Pay Day and the Sheik. I'll take those three up against anyone in the game...and certainly against any of your knuckleheads, Young Blood!
---
Young Blood: Bodyfucker wants to keep spewing his bullshit, but he just made his biggest fuckin' mistake of his old ass life! He fuckin' thinks he can fight Young Blood and walk away? I'm gonna cripple his ass and make him eat through a straw for the rest of his shitty life. And then nobody's gonna stop me from fucking up everyone else in the PEWA, all these soft ass pussies keep calling themselves hardcore, they think they're extreme, but fuck, the last time I took your belt, I ran this place and fucked up everyone! This time...you all die.
SWA Prestige Championship Bout Candace Monroe(Phoenix Rising)(C) vs. ??? Ever since beating the hated Ewan Jacobs, Candace Monroe has not had many chances to defend the Prestige belt, but it looks as if this will be changing on this Thursday. Although Monroe is not quite as decorated as she was in the recent past, having concluded an impressive run with the Phoenix Rising Heavyweight title, she stil has to be considered a real challenge for whoever steps up to face her in this bout.
UCSS Tag Team Championship Bout Thiago Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu(Jamie Tomasi and Angie Armstrong with Thiago Gracie) vs. American Apex(Keith Van Horne and Lamont Aldren)(Wrestle Parade) The UCSS tag division has not exactly been the healthiest in the Office from its induction, but as of late, some strong outside teams have arrived and internally, Thiago Gracie BJJ has risen the bar, functioning as a top three ranked duo in the Office's tag listing andturning the belts into a prize worth winning. They will face their greatest threat on this Thursday as Jamie Tomasi and Angie Armstrong go up against two of the best pure grapplers in wrestling in Wrestle Parade's American Apex. On the previous UCSS show, both teams functioned remarkably well together in eight person competition, and Lamont Aldren especially stood out with his endless suplexes. Can Aldren strike again, or will this one end with a Victory by Armbar?
Thiago Gracie: Is good, you do good, no need Thiago for win. Only need armbar. Armbar is enough.
Jamie Tomasi: Yeah, Thiago, I know you're still injured but...
Thiago: No, you, Angie, armbars, all very good. Me, I watch now. Is ok. Angie is good, you are good, Thiago Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu win without Thiago, is way of everything. Trainer make student good, student become trainer, make new student. Time for Jamie to be trainer, carry lineage for Thiago. Belts are for you, for Angie, no more for Thiago.
Angie Armstrong: Hey, I'm not going to turn down the paycheck and the opportunity, but damn, you're giving this up for me? You're the Armbar Grandmaster, you still got it, why'd you want to do that?
Thiago: Is ok, you do good, Thiago come back fight again some day, but this time for you, for Jamie.
Jamie: Yeah, Angie, don't even try to argue, Thiago's got his ways, it's our time now, we got this. American Apex, those guys are mega good, but you know, we're pretty good, too, so you and me, let's go out there and do what we do best...
Angie: Sure, sure, victory by armbar, victory by armbar...hey, if I can win, I don't care how I win, but...
Jamie/Thiago: VICTORY BY ARMBAR!
Angie: Woah...don't have to tell me that again...
Preliminary Main Event G.P. Christopher vs. Giulia Sanfilippo(Neutral Grounds), Yutaro Ichikawa(ZIP Japan), Hinari(Rose Garden), Alouette(SHTCWA), Sophie Sapphic(QTWA), Mask Legend(SWA) and ??? A smorgasbord of talent awaits fans of the Office, with six guests meeting George Paul Christopher in an over the top royale for the first Preliminary Main Event of Mid Year Lariats. The stylish shooter, Giulia Sanfilippo arrives from Neutral Grounds, ZIP Japan's Man With The Boots, Yutaro Ichikawa and the dedicated servant of the House of Nakajima, Hinari comes from the Rose Garden. The high flying luchadora Owl of SHTCHWA, Alouette flies in, Sophie Sapphic makes her journey from QTWA after a celebrated feud with Juliette Erving and last but not least, the great Mask Legend of the SWA completes the count, that is, of the known competitors, with one mystery entry added in as well.
G.P. Christopher: So, this is cool, I told Kalb that I wanted the first Prelim Main to just go over the top, get me some big names, some hungry upcoming stars, some people who need some shine. So that's just what I'm getting here, a chance to show off against some really good opponents, full respect, everyone's here because I told them to send them the invite, so, if you're on the list, you know you're someone that's worth paying attention to. Want to see why I'm the King of the Openers, the Ronin of Destiny? Take your best shot.

Fast Eddie's Quick Picks for Mid Year Lariats 2022 By "Fast" Eddie Edison You know the drill by now, we have a big event, I give you the winners. That's Fast Eddie's Quick Picks, and I don't waste your time with meaningless blather. So, since I'm not paid by the word for these, let's jump right in with my picks for Night One. Preliminary Main Event G.P. Christopher vs. Giulia Sanfilippo(Neutral Grounds), Yutaro Ichikawa(ZIP Japan), Hinari(Rose Garden), Alouette(SHTCWA), Sophie Sapphic(QTWA), Mask Legend(SWA) and ??? -If you haven't gotten the memo yet, and I can't believe at this point that you haven't, ZIP always wins in these cases. UCSS Tag Team Championship Bout Thiago Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu(Jamie Tomasi and Angie Armstrong with Thiago Gracie) vs. American Apex(Keith Van Horne and Lamont Aldren)(Wrestle Parade)-You know, if Thiago Gracie was healthy and on his team, I think I might have given them the edge, maybe, maybe not, looking at how good Lamont Aldren's been lately. But as it is, you have Jamie Tomasi with a rookie who's a firefighter in her day job, and I'll take the two full time wrestlers any day over that. SWA Prestige Championship Bout Candace Monroe(Phoenix Rising)(C) vs. ??? -I usually like the mystery competitor(so why didn't I pick that in the opener??), but Candace Monroe went from being just another undercard prospect and tag wrestler to being a seriously legit champion around the world. Came out of nowhere, but I'm sure not picking against her here. Crew Carnage PEWA's Most Hated(Young Blood, "Party Animal" Jeremy Wylde, Jeffrey Janson and Zanca) vs. Bodybreaker Brown, Sylvain "Pay Day" Mint, Shrieking Sheik and Hobo Harry)-Ok, you have a team with one legit badass and three dweebs up against a team with a mega badass(AAW represent!), another legit badass, a main event level high flier and a kinda dweebish guy. I'm going with the latter. Dominican Golden Championship Bout Doctor Dorado(Lucha POWER)(C) vs. Ricky Scott -Come on, I can't pick Stanford Bradley Jr, even if he probably wins, I just can't. Main Event: Lightning Pro Victorious Tag Medal Bout The Destructive Duo(Crusher Honda and Wrecker Yamamoto)(C) vs. ARENA(Arisa Hashimoto and Rena LeBlanc) -Look, if I'm on a night on the town, you better believe I'd want to hang out with ARENA, but you're not beating the Duo, especially if they're more motivated than usual. That's just the breaks. And that's that for Night One's picks, I'm thinking that we get the UCSS tag match as the match of the night, and Yutaro Ichikawa eliminates everyone for the performance of the night, but don't quote me on any of those. So, let's move on to the next half of this thing... Preliminary Main Event G.P. Christopher vs. Fresh Fuji(Rose Garden)-Yeah, I have GPC losing both nights in his Preliminary Main, but seriously, it's Fresh Fuji, in the Office, where flash pins are king. I think that beats out the King of the Openers in wrestling royalty. PEWA Extreme Tag Title Bout The New Mutants(PM Carnage and The EMP) vs. Neon Knights(Holy Diver and Supernaut) -It's a new era now, and the Neon Knights just seem like they've been a step behind for a while now. The New Mutants are on the forefront and they take this one, even if they have to work for it. Neither team would hold gold in AAW's golden age, anyway... Hana Brightly MILF Hunter Tour Culminating Match Hana Brightly(Wrestle Parade) vs. ??? -Can I just say real quick that I absolutely loved the idea of Hana's tour, and I think I should do my own version of it. But this isn't my place to advertize my next bar crawl so I'm going to say that Hana wins, because as long as this isn't Hailey Comet again, she'll be alright. Steve Phillips vs. Iceberg-Do I really need to explain this? Bigger, faster, stronger, younger. Forget the Fitsharris match, Iceberg stomps. UCSS Openweight Title Bout Hakim Fields(C) vs. Andronicus Turner-This is a seriously tough pick, but I have a bias in favor of boxers, and I think Andronicus Turner can get his win back. Fields is good, really good, but Turner at his best strikes me(pun intended) as a guy who can knock out anyone they put in front of him. PEWA Extreme Title Bout The Hindu Sheik(C) vs. Moustapha Ndour-It's time for Ndour to step up and Sheik to step down. Hindu Sheik lost to the ancient shell of the Shrieking Sheik in a non-title match and hasn't really asserted himself lately. Ndour's been everywhere and seems motivated, he's on the rise and I think he takes it. Lightning Pro Victorious Medal Bout Kaede Kinoshita(C) vs. Kojiro Burai(Phoenix Rising)-Can I do a coin flip for this? They don't pay me the big bucks to do that, though, and instead, I'm actually going to break my rules and hand this over to "Textbook" Tim Dwight, who will break this down, point by point(and provide me my results and justification, here): (Thank you, Eddie, for giving me the chance to help you out on this, it's my pleasure to do so.) (STRIKING) Kojiro Burai's kicks far outclass Kaede Kinoshita's, who is better than the average wrestler in the striking department, but uses her kicks more to set up her grappling than to inflict actual damage. Burai has finishing potential in some of his strikes, especially his tornado front kick out of the corner and his execution style buzzsaw roundhouse kick, and can quickly whittle a foe down into the danger zone without even needing to use any of his other tools. MAJOR ADVANTAGE: Burai (GRAPPLING) Kinoshita's clinch work is impressive, with a mix of gutwrench suplexes and powerbombs that display her impressive pound for pound core strength, proven effective against far larger opponents. Burai can do some damage from there, with his big argentine facebuster as a highlight, but he doesn't have the desire to persistently pursue the clinch like the Stardust Angel does. Neither provide much of a dimension on the mat itself comparitively speaking. ADVANTAGE: Kinoshita (SUBMISSION) Both Burai and Kinoshita have extremely effective submission games. While Burai has several finishing options, including the cobra triangle and the scissored camel clutch, Kinoshita has her bridging anaconda vice and variety of manjigatame variations. Both have the skill and the defense to compete here, and neither has any discernable edge over the other. ADVANTAGE: Even (AGILITY) While this would seem to be a lock for Kinoshita, Burai's athleticism is right there with her, notable for running stomps to the chest and an absolutely beautiful moonsault off the top. While not overtly flashy, his agility is on par with many notable high fliers in the game. But Kaede Kinoshita is known as the Stardust Angel for a reason, and her trademark Stardust Press is a weapon she uses with tremendous ease, effectively integrating it in with her high speed running attacks. She is truly an upper echelon wrestler in large part because of this dimension, and this is why she earns the advantage here. ADVANTAGE: Kinoshita (CONCLUSION) While Kojiro Burai only has one category where I gave him the outright advantage, I believe the striking game will be the biggest difference maker in this matchup. It will be a closely contested matchup, no matter what, and I could easily see a number of routes to victory playing out from either side. But the single most likely chance as I can see, is that Burai establishes himself early with his kicks, Kinoshita begins a late comeback, but has fewer chances to win, and as such, Burai, with his versatile array of finishing options, closes out and becomes a double champion. (Back to you, Mr. Edison.) The Cowboy Rides Into The Sunset Retirement Tour Final Match Cowboy Johnston vs. Doc Wyatt(Warrior Pro) -Everybody would think I would pick Doc Wyatt. He's a serious badass who doesn't follow the rules, has an attitude, and is probably the most clutch competitor I've ever seen. But Cowboy Johnston beat Kerry Texan, and has been on such a strong run that I have to give him the win here...even if I'll almost certainly regret it when Doc wins and lets me know what he thinks about this on social media... Main Event: Senatorial Office Number One Ranking Bout Titas Butkus(C) vs. Walid Alizadeh-Say it with me, "Tightass, Butkiss." The most fun you'll ever have in saying a wrestler's name, and I think that Butkus just has more in the tank than Alizadeh. He's bigger, he's more powerful, and while Walid is a legit grappler with a mean streak, Butkus has the physicality to overcome that. There you have it, two nights of Lariats for the price of one, a premium Textbook Breakdown and all the picks you wanted at the speed you need! This is "Fast" Eddie Edison, signing off.

The second night of Lariats more than lived up to the hype with some of the very best matches of the year, if not in the history of the Office, and a number of results that will reverberate for months to come. An easy candidate for event of the year, as it well should have been. RESULTS Mid Year Lariats and Legislators 2022 Night Two 8:00 PM (CT) on Friday, August 12th at Club Minos in Atlantic City, NJ Main Event: Senatorial Office Number One Ranking Bout, Beard vs. Beard Titas Butkus(C) vs. Walid Alizadeh The main event battle of the big men may not have stolen the show away from some of the top notch bouts leading up to it, but the struggle between Butkus and Alizadeh was a worthy match to finish the event. Walid showed some of his great grappling techniques to slow Butkus's wild brawling down, and was mostly able to shut down his foe's potent power arsenal. But against Titas Butkus, more is needed to get the win, and the Lithuanian Bull dragged the match into his own turf as it went along, simply outbrawling the Persian Powerhouse down the stretch until a short range falling lariat could finish things up with the three count win. Walid Alizadeh would then be shorn of his beard after the match, fulfilling the wager made between the two competitors at the press conference. The Cowboy Rides Into The Sunset Retirement Tour Final Match Cowboy Johnston vs. Doc Wyatt(Warrior Pro) The final match of Cowboy Johnston may not have been the best of his career, or even on his remarkable retirement tour(the honors to that would likely go to his match with Lance Marshall), but it was undoubtedly the most satisfying. For thirteen minutes, Johnston comfortably and confidently turned back the onslaught of Doc Wyatt, keeping his old foe off balance, slamming him down repeatedly and eventually knocked the Warrior Pro star out with the Amarillo Sunset brainbuster lariat to place one grand capstone on an outstanding career. Lightning Pro Victorious Medal Bout Kaede Kinoshita(C) vs. Kojiro Burai(Phoenix Rising) Kaede Kinoshita was the last bulwark against Kojiro Burai's goal of simultanious domination of two promotions, already the Pacific Northwest Champion on Phoenix Rising's Proving Ground brand, and while the Stardust Angel approached this match without fear, it was clearly less of a competitive contest and more of Burai's coronation ceremony. A few hard kicks made it clear that there was a vast gulf between the level of Kinoshita's striking and Burai's thunderous attacks, and after two tornado front kicks, Burai would become the new Victorious Medal Holder, defeating a foe that GPC and Steve Phillips could not in under ten minutes. All hail the new ace. PEWA Extreme Title Bout The Hindu Sheik(C) vs. Moustapha Ndour Not just the match of the night, or of Lariats as a whole, but likely the frontrunner for the match of the year. This was one of the greatest matches in PEWA history, as a phenomenally motivated Moustapha Ndour wore his Warbringer armor in this bout, cutting an intimidating figure as he took the fight to the Hindu Sheik. While things took a bit of time to build up in the first ten minutes, it soon turned into a rapid fireworks display with both men trading finishers repeatedly and using every tool in their respective books, leaving nothing on the table as they each seemed on the verge of collapse. A wicked chair shot from the Sheik finally drew blood twenty minutes in, a move that the hardcore legend would repeat again, only for Ndour to continue pressing ahead. And yet, when it seemed that nothing would keep Ndour away from gaining his prize, when the Sheik had nothing left to offer, he would dig deep one last time, hitting the Hindu Bomb lifting double arm facebuster to finally put the Warbringer down for a pin to retain the PEWA Extreme title. A stirring conclusion to an amazing match, and astoundingly, this would not be the last time that Ndour would wrestle in the night, thanks to Sakura Pro... UCSS Openweight Title Bout Hakim Fields(C) vs. Andronicus Turner A fiercely fought battle for the Openweight title with both Fields and Turner showing up in fine form. And while Hakim Fields certainly had his moments, repeatedly sinking in the Cell Block Lock in the ropes and drawing blood late in the fight, the footwork and flurries of Andronicus Turner propelled him forward, well enough to be able to score a third round three count following his trademark Kronk Overhand. Turner is now a two time UCSS Openweight champ, and seems to be right back on the top of things after a long fall from his prior heights in the promotion. Steve Phillips vs. Iceberg With the long buildup this match had, it was enormously satisfying for the end result to have fully lived up to the high hopes going in. Iceberg's power threatened at multiple points, but Phillips was not only able to endure it, but to answer back with his own explosive moves, from the Filibuster to the Victory Driver. Phillips would match his submission game with Iceberg's crushing spears as the match went on, but the former Senator would not falter, nor would the ex-Arena League standout yield. Finally, with both men seemingly have found themselves at a standoff, Phillips would connect with his Deadline sweeping windpipe chop, taking Charles Berg down long enough to apply the three count in a stirring win for the Office's founder. Hana Brightly MILF Hunter Tour Culminating Match Hana Brightly(Wrestle Parade) vs. Ana Maria Santana The final stop in Hana Brightly's tour culminated in the surprising pro wrestling debut in Ana Maria Santana, wife of Felix Jr, mother of Felix III and Felice. Ana Maria reportedly has trained with her family for over a decade behind the scenes, and as as the founder of her own clothing business, has designed their attires for even longer. For a first match, this was quite impressive with Ana Maria showing well-honed skills and her own gymnastics background at points...but let's be honest, this match was entirely Hana Brightly's. As good as Ana Maria did for a first time competitor, Brightly's talent and skill put her far ahead, comfortably winning with a H-Factor jumping facebuster for the pinfall. PEWA Extreme Tag Title Bout The New Mutants(PM Carnage and The EMP) with the Bingo Hall Mutants(Rampage Rage and Skullface Killah) vs. Neon Knights(Holy Diver and Supernaut) with Hija de Holy Diver The Neon Knights waited nearly half a year for this culminating title match, but the delay may well have worn off their momentum, and the New Mutants quite simply ran them down, with PM Carnage pinning Supernaut after a diving chair smash. The New Mutants remain the PEWA Extreme Tag champs and look as convincing as ever as the best duo in the deepest division in the Office. Preliminary Main Event G.P. Christopher vs. Fresh Fuji(Rose Garden) GPC simply seemed befuddled by the spectacular technical ability of the Hip Hoppin' Fresh Fuji, who arrived in the Office with a storm of flash pins, eventually catching GPC with his modified inside cradle, To Pin A Butterfly. Fresh Fuji could well be the next big thing in Lightning Pro, if this match, and the Office's traditional affinity for flash pin artists maight suggest. --- The first night of Lariats was a considerable success, even if every match didn't fully deliver on their promise, the overall show was an enjoyable beginning of the two night mega event. RESULTS Mid Year Lariats and Legislators 2022 Night One 7:30 PM (CT) on Thursday, August 11th at Club Minos in Atlantic City, NJ Bonus Match: No Disqualifications Sewer Dragon(Super NOVA) vs. Bath Salts Zombie This was a dirty match, plain and simple. Blood was spilled, faces were bitten, and Sewer Dragon KOed the Zombie with Young Blood's Last Will and Testament, aka, "The Ass of the Dragon." Sewer Dragon has arrived in the Office, and our noses may never be the same, again. Main Event: Lightning Pro Victorious Tag Medal Bout The Destructive Duo(Crusher Honda and Wrecker Yamamoto)(C) vs. ARENA(Arisa Hashimoto and Rena LeBlanc) With a new look and an ever-confident approach, it seemed as if this would be an easy routine title defense for the Destructive Duo. And yet, the lanky ladies of ARENA not only held their own, but put the duo on their back feet, and eventually, Wrecker would find herself on the receiving end of a sheer drop brainbuster from Hashimoto, and Crusher Honda was simply a moment too late to step in. ARENA earned the three count, and won the Victorious Tag Medals as a result, a shocking result for the main event. Dominican Golden Championship Bout Doctor Dorado(Lucha POWER)(C) vs. Ricky Scott Doctor Dorado was in fine form here, looking half his age as he flew about the ring, demonstrated surprising power, brilliant technique and eventually pinned Scott with a magistral cradle to retain the belt. Not a bad match by any means, but one where Dorado never seemed to be in any trouble. Crew Carnage PEWA's Most Hated(Young Blood, "Party Animal" Jeremy Wylde, Jeffrey Janson and Zanca) vs. Bodybreaker Brown, Sylvain "Pay Day" Mint, Shrieking Sheik and Hobo Harry) Speaking of utter one-sided demolition jobs, this match more than fit the bill. An early elimination with Hobo Harry Hobosaulting on Jeremy Wylde right before a cradle counter out of a victory roll attempt turned this into an absolute beatdown. Soon Jeffrey Janson found himself eliminated and while Young Blood managed to eliminate Sylvain Mint with the Last Will and Testament wrist clutch driver, it was a short lived respite as Hobo KOed Zanca with a Hobosault and Young Blood was battered about until Bodybreaker Brown put him into the mat with his Snap Cracker gory style complete shot. The PEWA veterans rose to the occasion and the Most Hated may have to regroup after this decisive defeat. SWA Prestige Championship Bout Candace Monroe(Phoenix Rising)(C) vs. Jack Stacey(SWA) Candace Monroe's opponent was not revealed until the start of the match, when Jack Stacey made his Office debut. The former MMA standout from Brazil was known in shoot style circuits for his almost maniacal approach to his submission game and his disdain for standard pro wrestlers. This was almost entirely Stacey's match, an ugly bout from start to finish where the Brazilian entirely dominated the ground game and eventually locked in an armbar for the finish to become the new SWA Prestige champion. UCSS Tag Team Championship Bout Thiago Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu(Jamie Tomasi and Angie Armstrong with Thiago Gracie) vs. American Apex(Keith Van Horne and Lamont Aldren with Megan Van Horne and Georgia Eagles)(Wrestle Parade) One of the very best matches of the whole two night event, with UCSS's top two tag teams showing a high level of skill and fighting spirit in this top notch encounter. While Thiago Gracie BJJ certainly managed to come close with their infamous armbars, it was Lamont Aldren in the end fighting past his deadened arms to put Angie Armstrong down with a Judgement slam, only to pin Jamie Tomasi instead, managing to create his own cutoff for the ingenious victory, thus handing American Apex the UCSS Tag Team championship. Preliminary Main Event G.P. Christopher vs. Giulia Sanfilippo(Neutral Grounds), Yutaro Ichikawa(ZIP Japan), Hinari(Rose Garden), Alouette(SHTCWA), Sophie Sapphic(QTWA), Mask Legend(SWA) and Bradley "Bradley Carr" Carr(Butterfloor) An extremely quick moving royale that saw rapid fire eliminations starting with Bradley Carr and Sophie Sapphic's back to back exits. GPC would fall to a choke from Giulia Sanfilippo, who was submitted herself by Yutaro Ichikawa and after an extended exchange, Alouette was eliminated by Hinari, who then battled ferociously against Ichikawa, eventually catching him with a sneaky kick below the border into a crossface submission to pick up a win, dedicating it to Nakajima Sama in her victory speech. --- Lariats Night #1 Match of the Night: Thiago Gracie BJJ vs. American Apex -A great tag match that elevated the show and the UCSS tag division. American Apex's suplexes and TG BJJ's ground skills were on full display and it resulted in a true treat for those looking for technical skill in their wrestling. Performer of the Night: ARENA(Arisa Hashimoto and Rena LeBlanc) -ARENA's shocking win over the Destructive Duo made this a fairly easy award to hand out, a remarkable win for the two tall ladies. Lariats Night #2 Match of the Night: Hindu Sheik vs. Moustapha Ndour -As great as some of the other matches on the card were, this one was one of the best title matches ever seen in the Office, with both men putting forth an otherwordly level of effort and determination, and ramping up the intensity consistantly as the match went on. Performer of the Night: Kojiro Burai -The new Victorious Medal holder did not just win his championship, but made it look exceedingly easy in the process against one of the best L-Pro has to offer. --- Injury Report Zanca: Bruised Ribs (One Month Medical Suspension) -PEWA's Most Hated's stuntman ended up taking a Hobosault from Hobo Harry, and injured his ribs in the process. As it is, though, Zanca should be back as soon as the PEWA is back in action. Doc Wyatt: No Diagnosis Available -Knocked out by Cowboy Johnston's Amarillo Sunset, Doc Wyatt should likely miss some time in Warrior Pro as a result, but we do not have the results directly available. --- --- Following the second night of Lariats and Legislators, Morgan "Midas" Matthews and Anthony Kalb were featured on an exclusive World Wrestling Daily Digest panel interview with Editor in Chief, Kevin "The Internet" Anderson, "Fast" Eddie Edison, Maxwell McNally, "Textbook" Tim Dwight, "Digital" Dave Doolittle and guest journalist Bill Wade from the Grapevine Wrestling Journal. For your convienience, we have condensed the half hour interview into the most important and interesting segments of the duration. --- Morgan "Midas" Matthews: Some would say it was a success. I'm personally less sure. But then again, I've been feeling that way about this venture as a whole. The Senatorial Office is fortuante that I still see some financial value and potential here. Because otherwise, I do not feel very motivated to assist any more with my invaluable business and marketing skills. Bill Wade: From what I can tell, the VIP Club has been put on ice. And you yourself have mostly been absent from the press. Midas: Yes. Anthony Kalb is the person you want to talk to about any of the programming at this point. I will still contribute funding, and I'll still reserve my right to exercize my veto as the Chairman. But it is clear right now that the day to day is nothing I need to bother myself with. The one thing I have done before I fully step back is to ensure that our Affiliate Promotions finally make a set of roster cuts. Too long, we have joined promotions together with the intent of keeping the best and discarding the rest. Instead, due to the stupid sentimentality of our Board, we have refrained from taking this course of action until now. "Fast" Eddie Edison: Roster cuts? In the Office? Is this real life? Anthony Kalb: We actually have had a lot of roster movement planned in the last week, and I'll be sure to get you all first dibs on the complete list of transactions and releases. Also, keep this in mind, anyone who's cut from a promotional roster isn't banished from here. We may still bring some of those people back in the future, whether it's on a Golden Touch show or trying out again for one of our Affiliates. But for the time being, yes, that was the one non-negotialble point for Midas taking a step back and letting us run things without his interefence. Midas: And since that's been said, I don't need to waste my time around here anymore on tonight. Irkalla, Persephone, we are leaving now. At this point Midas Matthews stood up and left with his two Golden Ladies in tow, with Senatorial Office Chief Legal Advisor Monica Tesfaye replacing him at the podium. --- Kevin "The Internet" Anderson: So I'm hearing that there's more changes planned going forward in the Office. Can you fill us in on these? Kalb: Sure. First thing's first, The Loop is no longer going to be confined to Lightning Pro. From now on, any promotion in the Office can submit a team as long as it meets the trophy's requirements of at least three members and a mixed gender configuration. In fact, we will even accept cross-promotional teams to challenge for The Loop. Monica Tesfaye: With Big Robert Montgomery stepping down from the active competitive roster and taking an executive role in the Senatorial Office's front office to assist with talent relations, the former centerpiece championship of Wacker Drive Revival will be shared with the entire Office. Kalb: And I bet Big Monty's gonna share the Old Guard title with himself if he gets a chance to hop over to Amarillo...that's the real reason he did this, isn't it? Monica: I can neither confirm nor deny. Kalb: I love when you go into full on lawyer mode. Monica: Almost as much as I love when you try to fight someone who you have no chance to beat... Kalb: Hah! I can beat anyone in the world on my best day! Monica: Really? The ZIP Strikebot? You ordered the ZIP Strikebot for a match...against yourself. Who in their right mind does that? Someone who makes his money primarily with his mind put himself in a pugilistic contest with a robot built to inflict concussions on human beings! Only a stubborn rockheaded fool does that! Kalb: Hey, hey, calm down there, that was months ago... Monica: Yes, it was, and I want to make sure you do not forget how stupid that was then, and still is now. Kalb: Lesson duly noted. That said...if I just landed one good Adam Smith Driver... Monica: Insufferable! Truly insufferable! --- Maxwell McNally: Now if I understand correctly, not only is the Pan African Tour returning after the Senatorial Office returns from hiatus, but there will be a little rearrangement with the Tour as well. Something I heard about the Pan African Championship evolving to meet the current configuration of the Tour. I know that each of you would be quite pleased to address these little rumors, if I'm not mistaken. Monica: Of course I would. The Pan African Tour is of particular interest to me. As many know, I was born in Ethiopia before I made my way to the United States and earned my career in law. I have always found the Pan African Wrestling project to be a noble endeavor for the Office and played a major role in bringing it together from the start. But one thing that has always been the case, is that Pan African Wrestling, with all of its logistical problems, has had to change consistently. We have gone from a monthly to a bi-monthly program and then to a yearly tour. While our proud talent from the project have made themselves essential elements of our Affiliate Promotions, there is no longer a proper platform for our talent to present their... Kalb: "Proper platform to present," you're a pretty pristine poet now, aren't you? Monica: Hush, Tony! So yes, that is why we have decided that the Pan African Championship will no longer be counted as a standard championship belt, but instead be converted into a yearly cup to be defended at the culmination of the Tour. We will allow Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi and the Pan African management team, of which I am a part of, to determine exactly how the Cup is defended each year, with the one caveat being that the previous winner must be involved unless they are incapable of doing so. Kalb: The Tour kicks off in about four weeks, we'll have several weeks off, then we'll have an Office Party on September 3rd, and the week after, the PEWA, TIPWF, L-Pro and UCSS will hold their shows on the Pan African Tour with Golden Touch hosting the Pan African Finale. --- Digital Dave Doolittle: As you know, match quality has always been a primary concern of mine for any promotion. I was pleasantly surprised by these two events in that regard, but I know that I am far from the only person questioning the Office's results over the last few months. We've heard a little about the plans to change things up... "Textbook" Tim Dwight: And while I'm here for the Digest, I can actually answer part of this question, as I've stepped back in to help the Dwight Gym. You don't mind that I answer this, Anthony, do you? Kalb: Not at all, please, go ahead, saves me from talking even more. Dwight: Excellent! As it is, I stepped down from my position as the lead trainer in the Gym to puruse my Dwight Fit nutrition and training program for older athletes. I've been proud of my daughter Della as she's found her spot in UCSS right now teaming with Aline Richelieu, and I've enjoyed being part of the team with World Wrestling Daily Digest. But when Mr. Kalb called me, and told me that he wanted my help, well, it wasn't just Midas's contract that motivated me to return, I've missed being in the mix, and I have been working with Daniel Ness in crafting a week by week plan to work with all four Office promotions to help the talent, especially in the lower and mid cards to improve their skills. Monica: Along with Mr. Dwight's focused inititive, we have also crafted a new set of directives for matches involving Office talent and our guest competitors. I am merely stating common knowledge when I mention that the Office has a reputation for exceedingly physical matches. Our approach allows for the highest level of competition, but it also takes a toll in terms of injuries. Going forward, we will inform anyone involved in a match with an outside competitor that while we expect nothing short of full effort in pursuit of the victory, we will also expect all parties involved to work to avoid needless injuries. Kalb: We'll still allow any of our partner promotions and contractors to opt out of the directives, and we know that some will be glad to do so, but we absolutely understand when some promoters are frustrated when their talent arrive in the Office and are put on the injury list at a critical time afterwards. This is our solution to that problem. --- Bill Wade: I know we've been going for a good while now, but I've got several random items I'd like to ask about before we leave. First, is it true that Raymond Allen Fleming is retiring at the end of this year? Also, at the Grapevine, we've been talking lately that with Midas stepping back and the Board pushing hard against his overreach, that you might be interested in bringing Steve Phillips back into a larger role. I'll let you answer those. Kalb: I'll take the first, and you can get the second, Monica. So yeah, zero truth in the Fleming deal. I don't know who's blown that smoke up your backside, but that couldn't be more wrong. Yes, Rick Humphries is going to be doing a lot of the main event work on the regular Affiliate shows each month from now on. He's worked hard in the Dwight Gym to step up as an official and I think he'll be a legend in the field years down the line. We would be wanting to work him in more regardless of Fleming's status. But as it does pertain to Raymond, well, we know we want to keep an absolute legend like him around as long as we can. He'll still work major title bouts on the Affiliate shows, and he'll still be there for every Golden Touch event. Wade: I know that Mr. Fleming was already retired when Steve Phillips convinced him to return for the formation of the Office, and it's been years since then. Kalb: Yeah, Raymond was bored out of his gourd back then, and was thrilled to be back doing what he does best. And he wants to keep reffing as long as we'll have him here. So this is the plan that he and we came up with and I think it'll work out better for everyone. We prize our referees as much as any of our talented workers here, and Raymond is the best of the best. Monica: As for the second question, no, Steve Phillips will not be placed on the Board of Directors. He has specifically stated that he returned here only to contribute in the ring, and wants to focus entirely on that role. We are proud to follow in his footsteps, but Mr. Phillips is simply a member of the Lightning Pro roster at this point in time and for the forseeable future.

Office Party #18 9-2-2022 8:00 PM (CT) on Friday, September 2 at the Beltway Hippodrome in Washington, DC Main Event: MoonsaultMania Freya O'Malley(Phoenix Rising) vs. Mr. Moonsault Mystery Debut Match ??? vs. Jennie Medici Ninja Smith Debut Match Ninja Smith and Skurai vs. "The Unlucky Legend" Tracy Finn and Masked Maniac IV Dr. Q(Sakura Pro) vs. Shrimp Simpson More matches to be determined --- In the wake of Mid-Year Lariats, the Senatorial Office has taken an unprecedented action at the command of Chairman Morgan Matthews. For the first time ever, the Affiliate Promotions have announced cuts to their rosters, and there has also been a major shift in talent between the promotions. We here at World Wrestling Daily Digest have analyzed the most important of these moves and also have a full list of cuts and transactions listed below. -Of the outright cuts, some of the biggest ones come from Lightning Pro, with the Action Pack sent packing and the Blue Notes disbanding. Big Robert Montgomery shifts from active competition to the Office's front office. The Animal Farm sends Lila Gila and Super Komodo to the cut list, while Gorilla Power and Cobra Schwall remain on the TIPWF roster. The PEWA breaks up Monochrome with Yamikuro going to free agency. -The Cruisers ride out from the PEWA for the TIPWF, finding no room in the PEWA's crowded tag division. They'll be better served in the TIPWF's trios category, and could well compete for the Old Guard championship. Of note, Biff Taylor has announced his return to the Cruisers, but will more likely play a managerial role for his older allies than anything else. -Professor Mark Gizenga and Elle Barrett leave their teams, the Congolese Connection and the Action Pack to compete in UCSS, adding a pair of technical grapplers to the shoot style promotion. -Da Outsider and La Axolotl both find themselves cut after suffering significant injuries, and while Outsider is more likely to retire than not, Axolotl could find herself back on a roster in time if she can build herself back up after healing. -Killer King Jones leaves the talent-rich Rudo Army and the TIPWF on good terms, as he returns to his old stomping grounds in the PEWA and Opaque brings her unique lucha style to the TIPWF, a clear trade of talent that should benefit both promotions and competitors.

An breezy return to action for the Office with some surprising debuts and an array of guest stars. RESULTS Office Party #18 9-2-2022 8:00 PM (CT) on Friday, September 2 at the Beltway Hippodrome in Washington, DC Main Event: MoonsaultMania Freya O'Malley(Phoenix Rising) with Aoife Daley vs. Mr. Moonsault with Lord Senton(Blue Thunder Pro) A rapid bout that saw Freya O'Malley outclass Marcus Xavier at his own moonsaulting game, winning with a Lionsault into a standing moonsault, a most worthy combination to defeat Mr. Moonsault himself. Mystery Debut Match Christine DeWalt vs. Jennie Medici A confounding debut as Christine DeWalt made her first Office appearance. Many comparisons were drawn between her and Steve Phillips with rumors of a Valkyrie Pro connection involved. As it was, DeWalt did well to defeat Jennie Medici and won with a Victory Lock II Ninja Smith Debut Match Ninja Smith and Skurai vs. "The Unlucky Legend" Tracy Finn and Masked Maniac IV While Ninja Smith looked reasonably good in her debut, her team would unfortunately lose as Masked Maniac IV pinned Skurai after a standing tornado DDT. Guts and Glory(Lamont Aldren, Keith Van Horne, Megan Van Horne and Flex Steele)(Wrestle Parade) vs. The Cruisers(Cruiser Jacobs, Cruiser Conrad, Cruiser Khan and Biff Taylor) Likely the best match of the night, with Guts and Glory getting the better of an actively motivated Cruisers squad, Megan Van Horne hitting the Liberty Driver on Biff Taylor in his return to the ring after his retirement from running the PEWA. Dr. Q(Sakura Pro) vs. Shrimp Simpson This was what you'd expect it to be, once Dr. Q got a hold of Simpson, he finished him quickly with an iron claw hold. Steve Phillips vs. The Notorious EFM A quality match between two legends, but Phillips was one step ahead, and won with the dreaded rana bomb pin. Anatoly Shkuro with Onika Santos vs. Riccardo De Luca(Phoenix Rising) with Felice Santana As fast as anyone would have expected, and Riccardo De Luca had the rare pleasure of finding a foe smaller than himself, and still outclassing him in the perpetual motion category, eventually pinning the Splendid Cossack with a standing Spanish Fly. NBNF(DUDE Smith and the X-Treme Kid) vs. Oak Man(Butterfloor) and John "Newface" Smith(SWA) The general assumption as this match was booked was that Oak Man was going to endanger the health of NBNF, but instead, the XTK and DUDE Smith both scored knockouts here, XTK taking out Smith with an X-Ecution Superkick and DUDE finishing Oak Man with a DUDEisher fireman carry brainbuster. A shocking finish, all the more for its unexpected nature. Ana Maria Santana with Felix Santana Jr. vs. Betty Black Trunks A fairly easy win for "Mama Santana" who worked over Betty Black Trunks before pinning her with a Romero Clutch. Ana Maria Santana may have been trounced in her debut, but with more suitable competition such as she encountered here, she might actually find a future in the business. --- Match of the Night: Guts and Glory vs. The Cruisers -On a night with zero true standout matches, this solid four on four was the only real choice for the match of the night. Performer of the Night: Freya O'Malley -Beating Mr. Moonsault with a double moonsault combination in the main event just cries out for an award. --- Injury Report John Smith: Mild Concussion (Two Month Medical Suspenion) -A superkick to the head thanks to the X-Treme Kid knocked Newface Smith out, and he'll be out of action for a few months to recuperate Oak Man: Unknown -Dropped down hard by a fireman carry brainbuster from DUDE Smith, Branch Oakley's medical info was not released, but it appears that the Oak Man will not miss much time, only suffering a minor injury, unlike many he has dealt out in the past.

Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi: Welcome everyone! Tonight is the first night of the return of the Pan African Tour, and it is here in my home of Lagos, Nigeria that we bring this back! Tonight we begin this year's Pan African Tournament, with four matches in the Block A! There is no longer a Pan African Championship for someone to sit on for a year! Now we have a Pan African Cup to show who the best was from this year! Bodybreaker Brown: And tonight, we bring Philly to Lagos, because the PEWA's back after the break, too. We're rested, ready and pissed off. We got myself and my wife Downtown teaming with the hottest duo in pro wrestling, the new and improved Sheridan Brothers, and yeah, we're going up against all four of the Mutants. Seems they don't think the Sheridans deserve the hype or something. But let me tell you something, I know a bit about legit. And they got it. We also got the Ruler of the Road on the line, like we always do, and we have Backyard Pyro defending against an OG PEWA Original back in the house, the Eritrean Majesty himself, Killer King Jones. Ali: And we have many debuts tonight! We have from the Lightning Pro Dojo, a man from Rwanda with enough promise to light the arena with his presence, Innocent Mugisha! Bodybreaker: And the PEWA's brining two big time prospects in with the hardcore technician, Grace Saxon and a man who crossed over from pro gaming and Danish Viking Metal in Top Tyr. We're kicking things off with a bang here, and Lagos better be ready for what we're bringing them. Pan African Tour '22 and PEWA: Lagos, Nigeria - 9-9-2022 8:00 PM(CT) on Friday, September 9th in Lagos, Nigeria Main Event The Sheridan Brothers(Vincent Sheridan and Zach Sheridan)(Phoenix Rising), Bodybreaker Brown and Downtown Lucy Brown vs. The New Mutants(PM Carnage and the EMP) and the Bingo Hall Mutants(Rampage Rage and Skullface Killah) PEWA Ruler of the Road Championship Bout Backyard Pyro(C) vs. Killer King Jones Sewer Dragon Infests PEWA! Solid show with a quality opener and some exciting tournament matches, as well as some less than auspicious debut showings. RESULTS Pan African Tour '22 and PEWA: Lagos, Nigeria - 9-9-2022 8:00 PM(CT) on Friday, September 9th in Lagos, Nigeria Bonus Match AJ Mohammad(Realm of Wrestling) vs. Yetunde Oya A strong win for AJ Mohammad, representing the nation of Chad with her high impact offence, overcoming the endless bag of tricks and submission skills of Yetunde Oya by pancaking her down with a canadian style facebuster slam for the knockout win. Of course, as usual, Oya simply got up and walked away before the medics could assist her. Main Event The Sheridan Brothers(Vincent Sheridan and Zach Sheridan)(Phoenix Rising), Bodybreaker Brown and Downtown Lucy Brown vs. The New Mutants(PM Carnage and the EMP) and the Bingo Hall Mutants(Rampage Rage and Skullface Killah) As wild and absurd of a match as expected, the newfound popularity of the Sheridans could not save them from being on the losing side, but they did avoid dropping the fall. Downtown Lucy Brown, in spite of her new attire and rededicated training could not escape the pin after the EMP planted her with a powerbomb facebuster. Even so, the Sheridans seem to still be on pace to challenge for the PEWA Extreme Tag championship against the New Mutants in the near future. PEWA Ruler of the Road Championship Bout Backyard Pyro(C) vs. Killer King Jones A surprisingly one sided return to the PEWA for one of its originals, but unfortunately for Killer King Jones, he ran into the steamroller that is Backyard Pyro, and was beaten fairly quickly with a fire belch to the face. Pyro is quickly making a name for himself as the Ruler of the Road, and also seems to have become somewhat disliked more with each win by the PEWA faithful. Sewer Dragon Infests PEWA! Lighttube Deathmatch Sewer Dragon(Super NOVA) vs. Tomas the Tiny Giant With some questioning just how the Office snuck Sewer Dragon's pestilence through customs, the filthy Super NOVA star and Tomas engaged in a quick, violent and entertaining battle, with the Tiny Giant sending his foe out of the ring and onto the barbed wire outside with a Ball Peen Hammer at one point. However, Sewer Dragon was not be discouraged, and would respond with his Ass of the Dragon wrist clutch driver, scoring a top notch win in his first win on a proper PEWA program. One might wonder if his use of the finisher might have antagonized Young Blood, with its similarity to the Last Will and Testament... Pan African Cup Block A Semifinal Bout, Innocent Mugisha Debut Jean-Pierre Mutombo(TIPWF) vs. Innocent Mugisha(L-Pro) Still a trainee in the L-Pro Dojo, Innocent Mugisha received a special temporary release to represent Rwanda in the Pan African Tour. The super prospect took the fight to one of the most decorated wrestlers in the whole industry, showing his impressive agility and fighting spirit, but Jean-Pierre Mutombo, diminished as some might claim, is still one of the strongest closers in the game, and once he grew tired of Mugisha's evasion tactics, would lock in several Congolese Crabs in the ropes before hitting the Unifier brainbuster side slam into a leaping Supersensation elbow drop for the three. A quality debut for Innocent Mugisha, but it's clear he is far from ready to deal with the upper echelon. For his part, JPM will face an old friend in Mehrmohammdi in the next round, a match that should bring the best out of both men. Pan African Cup Block A Semifinal Bout Onika Santos(UCSS) vs. Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi(L-Pro) An awesome match and the best so far of the tournament, with the fast paced capoeira of Onika Santos giving fits to Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi for much of this match. However, the Pan African Ambassador would not give in as he competed in front of his hometown Lagos crowd, and rallied late in the match to eventually submit the red-hot Santos with an omoplata crossface hold. Absolutely tremendous match from both sides. Top Tyr Debut Match / Grace Saxon Debut Match The Warbringers(Demarcus Browning(Rose Garden) and Moustapha Ndour), Top Tyr and Grace Saxon vs. PEWA's Most Hated(Young Blood, Jeremy Wylde, Jeffery Janson and Zanca) This was not the match on the card. Instead, pro gamer, viking metal performer and European hardcore import, Top Tyr was intended to make his PEWA debut against English hardcore technician and proponent of Smiley-ism, fellow debutee, Grace Saxon. Instead, the PEWA's Most Hated crashed the ring, beginning a four on two beatdown until the Warbringers ran down to even the odds, resulting in a wild melee that was eventually broken up by security. Perhaps not the most impressive beginning for Saxon or Tyr, but far from the worst way to start off, holding even against some feared veteran foes. Pan African Cup Block A Semifinal Bout Zulu Lionheart vs. Esther Musambi(L-Pro) Wearing his Shaka Zulu attire in tribute of his injured tag partner, Shaka Corbin, Zulu Lionheart started off a very good night by defeating Esther Musambi in a convincing victory, submitting the Kenyan with his arm trapping Lionheart Choke for the win, advancing to face Mohammad Ramses in the next round. Pan African Cup Block A Semifinal Bout Mohammed Ramses(TIPWF) vs. FENYANG(Freelance) A match that demonstrated the resurgence of Mohammad Ramses as much as it did the determination of FENYANG, with Ramses utterly zeroing in on his Pyramid Driver bombs down the stretch, with FENYANG kicking out over and over again until one Final Pyramid Driver would put him away for the three count. Ramses looks to make waves once more in a Pan African Tournament and FENYANG, in spite of losing his PEWA roster spot, could find himself back in an Office promotion soon with a showing like this. UCSS Rules No Disqualification Bout Annika Hofmanis(Neutral Ground) vs. Lanna Ndi(UCSS) An excellent opener to the night with UCSS Rules applied, as Annika Hofmanis brought her South African honed Karate against Cameroonian-born Lanna Ndi and her Kyokushin approach. Both ladies would not back down an inch, trading brutal body kicks across five rounds until Ndi finally got the best of the match in the final round with a brutal flurry of grounded strikes for the TKO stoppage. A great showing for Hofmanis even in defeat and Ndi has proven herself to be a top level competitor and performer with her win. --- Match of the Night: Onika Santos vs. Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi -As good as the opener was, and as thrilling as the Ramses-FENYANG match ended up being, this was absolutely the best match of the night with Mehrmohammdi raising his level. Performer of the Night: Backyard Pyro -Pyro easily disposed of Killer King Jones, and is beginning to look like a true problem in the PEWA at this point. --- Injury Report Yetunde Oya - No Diagnosis -Oya's knockout loss to AJ Mohammad in the bonus match would seem to have been grounds for a medical suspension, but the Voudou Priestess of Benin simply walked it off with no diagnosis taken, not the first time she has done such a thing in the Office.

The TIPWF heads into the Democratic Republic of Congo as the Pan African Tour continues on, with a monumental title match in the main event, several big contendership bouts and the continuation of the Pan African Cup tournament. Pan African Tour '22 and TIPWF: Kinshasa, DR Congo - 9-16-2022 8:00 PM(CT) on Friday, September 16th in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo Main Event: TIPWF Lone Star Heavyweight Championship Bout Titas Butkus(C) vs. Jean-Pierre Mutombo TIPWF Lone Star Trios Number One Contender Bout The Trio(The Mallard(MWWC), Rodeo Angel and El Froggy Mask) vs. The New Roland Chang Trio(Roland Chang Junior, Roland Chang III and Annie Chang with Roland Chang Sr.) TIPWF Roundup Rumble Hailey Comet vs. Lil' Lariato vs. Vice Versa vs. FENYANG(Freelance) vs. Markos Angulo vs. Misterio Guerrero vs. El Hijo de Macchiato vs. Luchador Sorpresa Pan African Cup Block B Quarterfinal Match King Bemba vs. Lanna Ndi Pan African Cup Block B Quarterfinal Match Esi Dogboe vs. Wesley Rakoto Lightning Cyclones(Layla El-Amin and La Relampaga)(Phoenix Rising) vs. Anti-Phibian Alliance(El Hijo del Sapo(Rose Garden) and Poison Froggy Mask) Pan African Cup Block B Quarterfinal Match Ibrahim Rahman vs. Nefertiri Pan African Cup Block B Quarterfinal Match Moustapha Ndour vs. Professor Mark Gizenga Team Work(Rin Jokusato and Fuyuki Takenaka(Typhoon Pro) and The Everyman) vs. The Santana Family(Felice Santana, Felix Santana III and Ana Maria Santana) --- Titas Butkus: I'm a fighting champ. I didn't bring this belt back home to the TIPWF to sit on it. I ain't Colossus Rhodes. I don't hide behind anyone. And I pay my debts back. So I figure I can kill three birds with one stone here. Jean-Pierre, you stepped aside to give me my shot. I took care of business. Now it's time I pay you back. We're here in Kinshasa, your city. So I figure there's no time like the present to give you your shot back. I defend my belt, I pay you back, and I beat the top person left to face. Three birds. One stone. --- Jean-Pierre Mutombo: Greetings and salutations, Kinshasa, place of my birth and the heart of the Democratic Republic of Congo! It is a great and wonderful day to be back here in this beautiful city, to see so many people I love and to do so with the Pan African Tour once again! And it is here that I, Jean-Pierre will again claim a prize for the people! For it is here that my friend, Titas Butkus has so generously offered me a chance to defeat him and to become the TIPWF Lone Star Heavyweight Champion! It is here that I give everything that I have for all the people who always give me so much and that I once again show all of you amazing fans that I will not let you down, I will always give my best! --- Walt Callahan: Yeah, about a week ago, Butkus came up to me and told me he wanted to do something big here in Kinshasa. And when he told me what he wanted, I figured that it was damn past time the TIPWF saw its belt defended on its own show. So, yeah, I agreed to make this match, Butkus against Mutombo, our two biggest stars, here on the Pan African Tour. I think it was the right call at the right time, and if anyone has a problem with me giving this away here, then honestly, they can kiss my ass. Callahan: But I'm not just going to call it a day after that. We have the Trio and the New Roland Chang Trio fighting for a shot at La Familia. So what if some people thought we were giving Team Hard Work that match after they botched up their chance? Only a damned fool gives someone a title shot after a loss. We also have a big TIPWF royale, and the winner can take a shot at either the Lone Star or the Dominican in the future. The Pan African Cup continues on, too, and I think everyone will enjoy these matches, as long as they live up to their promise. And we also have the Lightning Cyclones, our greatest trios champions in recent memory here. That's not all, but that's all I feel like talking about right now, and frankly, that's all I think you need to know to see if you want to watch us tonight.
