Lightning Road '20: The Beginning8:00 PM (CT) on January 24th at the Kyoto Central Gymnasium in Kyoto, Japan Main Event Worldwide Conquest(ALEXANDER and Tarkhan the Mangler) vs. Nishimura Endo and The Outlaw, Sam HallWhile their initial attempt at gaining the Victorious Tag Medals fell short, Worldwide Conquest returns in the main even to weather the challenge of a rather mismatched team, the duo of the stoic warrior, Nishimura Endo and the rambunctious Outlaw, Sam Hall. Rumika Hashi vs. Ai TanakaWith her usual tag partner, Masa Tokugawa preoccupied in the Preliminary Main Event, Ai Tanaka will gain a precious opportunity in taking on one of L-Pro's mainstays, the Soaring Sparrow, Rumika Hashi. Both women are known for their dangerous striking, but Tanaka will have to be on top of her game to keep up with the rest of Hashi's skillset. Rei Hasegawa and Keiko Maeda(Phoenix Rising) vs. The Muscle Machines(Gary Gear and Adonis Avery Alexander)The White Hot duo from Phoenix Rising's Blackwood Academy take on another team known to the West Coast in the Muscle Machines, with Hasegawa and Maeda pitting their speed against the power of the Machines. Della Dwight Trial Series Della Dwight vs. Ayako MiyamotoWithout her father's usual guidance at ringside, due to injuries sustained in last week's Wacker Drive Revival show, Della Dwight now looks to pit her grappling skills against the perfectionist judoka, Ayako Miyamoto. Should Miyamoto find herself capable of landing the Perfect German Suplex on Dwight, it could well lead to a major upset. Naoka Takemura vs. Koji SawadaNaoka Takemura has requested the support of her fans on social media for what she has claimed to be "the scariest match I have ever had," but L-Pro Dojo top student Koji Sawada is the clear underdog in this one. Preliminary Main Event: Senatorial Retirement Tour Senator Steve Phillips, Masa Tokugawa and Mr. Nobunaga vs. G.P. Christopher and the Destructive Duo(Crusher Honda and Wrecker Yamamoto)One more stop on the Retirement Tour for Phillips and his first showing in the now-obligatory Preliminary Main Event, teaming with frequent ally Tokugawa and his storied Judo instructor from days past, Mr. Nobunaga up against one of the most formidible teams L-Pro could put together: the Victorial Medal holder, GPC and the Victorious Tag Medal holders in the Destructive Duo. With a history of confrontations with Crusher Honda, the Senator will have to dig deep to merely leave this match with his senses intact. --- Naoka Takemura: (Translated from Japanese) <Everyone needs to support me in this match! It's so cruel of L-Pro to put me up against this gigantic opponent when I'm just trying to fight for all of my fans. But that is what the Star of the Show must suffer for her craft! Please show up and cheer me because if I hear your cheers, I might stand a chance here!> --- Senator Steve Phillips: The Old Capitol, Kyoto is practically overflowing with history. And yet, I am entirely cognizant of the intersection of the past that is quickly reaching out to overtake me as I am of the brilliant future that Lightning Pro embodies. Mr. Nobunaga: Funny thing, you retire, I remain! Senator: And yet, I am not surprised at all, my old friend. Nobunaga: Call me old? You retire soon, not me! Senator: I cannot refute your rejoinder. I hesitate even to consider how many years ago you taught me how to perfect the Filibuster. And yet, we both stand here today, ready to do battle with the best. Standing behind the two, Masa Tokugawa speaks up, in Japanese, with Nobunaga providing his own stilted translation. Nobunaga: He says apocalpyse comes soon for you. But maybe sooner for GPC, Honda, Wrecker! Senator: I bear no ill will for any of our opponents. Mr. Christopher is a splendid champion as the Duo are for the Tag Medals. Yes, it is true we have all had our troubles with Ms. Honda, but at the very least, in my case, there was also a begrudging respect beneath the bluster. Let us do what we must, while many might write us off as too broken down, too old, too single minded, we yet possess the tool set to emerge from this Preliminary Main Event as the winners, and that, my friends, is nothing...but the truth. --- GP Christopher: Yeah, I'm stoked. I get a match with the one and only Senator on my Preliminary Main Event! And if I gotta team with these two in making this happen? That's alright. Crusher Honda: Senator Phillips! Maybe I end your career before Lariats #10! Maybe I have Nobunaga retire before you! Or Tokugawa! Don't think I have any sympathy because you're on the way out! I dream of breaking your skulls like an egg dropped on the sidewalk! I can't stop thinking of snapping your necks like a twig between my fingers! Hearing your brittle bones shatter is music to my ears! Wrecker Yamamoto: Crusher and I love breaking people more than anything! And we want to break you all! GPC: Me, I just want a great match and a big time win, I'm a simple man like that. Best of luck to you all, with these two here, you're gonna need it, badly.

A night full of shocking results and excellent matches took place in Kyoto as Lightning Pro opened up the Lightning Road tour for the start of the year. RESULTS Lightning Road '20: The Beginning 8:00 PM (CT) on January 24th at the Kyoto Central Gymnasium in Kyoto, Japan Bonus Match: Kaede Kinoshita vs. Yuriko Masamune A solid bout between a rising star of the future and one of the most accomplished figures in the history of L-Pro. Kaede Kinoshita was fast, explosive and varied in her attack, but Yuriko Masamune demonstrated why she is a former champion and the current L-Pro head trainer by breaking her opponent down, eventually locking in the cross STF to gain the submission. Bonus Match: Senatorial Retirement Tour Senator Steve Phillips vs. Brigitte Larsson(Typhoon Pro) Senator Steve Phillips apparently figured he would make it through his Preliminary Main Event unscathed, and as such, pulled the trigger on one of the biggest challenges of his career. And a challenge it was, as the power of the Viking Queen was clear from the beginning. And yet, the Senator, having lost match after match on his tour, did not back down, going strike for strike with Larsson, hitting a Filibuster at the midway point, and following up with another, shortly after. Larsson was far from done, retaliating with the Viking Hammer and the Axe Bomber combination for a near fall, but it would be one more last ditch Filibuster that would gain the incredible victory for Senator Phillips. Main Event Worldwide Conquest(ALEXANDER and Tarkhan the Mangler) vs. Nishimura Endo and The Outlaw, Sam Hall One of the best matches of the night, with incredible teamwork, including a powerslam combination that must be seen to be believed from Worldwide Conquest, ALEXANDER and Tarkhan surviving an onslaught from Hall and Endo to gain the victory with ALEXANDER's Conquerplex electric chair bridging German. Rumika Hashi vs. Ai Tanaka Ai Tanaka gave a solid effort in an attempt to defeat Rumika Hashi, but the experience gap showed as Hashi used her more expansive toolkit to break Tanaka down, counter her best attacks and land the Sparrowhawk Kick for the win. Rei Hasegawa and Keiko Maeda(Phoenix Rising) vs. The Muscle Machines(Gary Gear and Adonis Avery Alexander) While the White Hot team of Hasegawa and Maeda had their moments, the Muscle Machines took this opportunity to flex frequently and for Gary Gear to land his crushing powerbombs, with the Anabolic Bomb chokebomb pinning Rei for a solid win. Della Dwight Trial Series Della Dwight vs. Ayako Miyamoto An outstanding match with Miyamoto gaining the early advantage with her counters, and both competitors fighting consistantly for the back clinch. Miyamoto's German suplexes were a major factor, but Dwight fought back, hitting the Skyscraper Dragon Suplex and a spinning gutwrench toss for the win. Naoka Takemura vs. Koji Sawada Almost too easy of a match for Naoka, with her predictions of danger and trouble clearly unfounded...until Sawada hit his first real offence of the match with a powerbomb into the Sawada Lock Boston Crab, causing an instant tapout for one of the biggest upsets in L-Pro history. Preliminary Main Event: Senatorial Retirement Tour Senator Steve Phillips, Masa Tokugawa, Mr. Nobunaga and Wataru Nakajima(ZIP Japan) vs. G.P. Christopher, the Destructive Duo(Crusher Honda and Wrecker Yamamoto) and Super Grey Machine Prior to the match, Super Grey Machine walked out onto the entryway with a microphone. Super Grey Machine: <Even though you are all troublesome to Chairman Shima Ito, I cannot pass up on the chance to wrestle against Senator Steve Phillips! And I am not Shima Ito, for the last time, I am NOT Shima Ito!> And following SGM's announcement, none other than ZIP Japan's Patriarch, Wataru Nakajima showed up to even the odds. The match itself was a slow paced, methodical affair, one that seemed to favor the Senator's team marginally, that is, until the Machine dunked Nakajima on his head with a dragon suplex, forcing referee Norio Fujimori to call an end to the match. --- Match of the Night: Worldwide Conquest vs. Hall and Endo -A well fought match that barely edged out the Dwight-Miyamoto bout, as both teams brought their best effort in a back and forth battle, and with Worldwide Conquest demonstrating a previously unseen degree of coordination. Performer of the Night: Senator Steve Phillips -Go ahead and level your accusations, but two performances in one night and the second one resulting in a victory over one of the most intimidating opponents in all of professional wrestling makes this an easy choice. --- Injury Report Naoka Takemura: Double Grade 2 Quadriceps Strain (One Month Medical Suspension) -Takemura was en route to an easy victory when Koji Sawada caught her in a ferocious boston crab, causing an instant tap. We can see now why she did so, with both quads strained at once, and the doctors have recommended that she sit out the remainder of the Lightning Road tour. In addition, while Wataru Nakajima's medical report was not directly available, due to his outside status, it has been rumored that the Patriarch might have to take a few weeks off due to an unspecified upper body injury, but should not suffer any long term injuries as a result of Super Grey Machine's suplex. --- Senator Steve Phillips: Irony of ironies, after all the losses I accumulated as of late, I earn one of the most significant in-ring accomplishments of the latter portion of my career, and yet, I cannot remember anything that happened following my head hitting the mat from one of Ms. Larsson's lariats. Full credit to her, I am told that following that, I managed to land three Filibusters, and stumbled to the back. Senator: Yet another reminder that it is good and proper that I am departing while my faculties yet remain somewhat intact...speaking of which, I have been rather forgetful as of late. I might as well mention it here. The opponent for my final match, at Lariats and Legislators #10 has not only been determined, but will be making an announcement within the next few days. I promise you all that this will be no disappointment, and that, my friends, is nothing...but the truth. --- In the medical room, Naoka Takemura is seen laying on a table, with ample amounts of tape wrapped around her strained thighs, and tears rolling down her cheeks. To her credit, Takemura manages to brace herself as the camera draws in. Naoka Takemura: *sniff* <You all...you all thought I wasn't serious! But look at me! Look at me! That monster wrecked my legs, I couldn't even walk back here! *sniff* That's now how the Star of the Show is supposed to look! That's not what my legion of fans want! Koji Sawada, I promise you as soon as I heal, you are going to pay for this like the villain you are! I promise that from the bottom of my heart! You will pay!> --- G.P. Christopher: Hey, Grey Machine, yeah, I'm talking to you, Shima Ito! And don't give me that bull about "I'm not Shima Ito!" You got a problem? Super Grey Machine: <Shut up and go party with the GP Club, aren't you done here, kid?> GPC: Oh no, you didn't just "kid" me, Ito. You know what my problem is? You just dunked a hero of mine, a guest of yours on his head and put him out. We're out there to give the Senator a sendoff in my Preliminary Main Event, and all you want to do is show off your fancy suplexes against Nakajima San. You know what? I know I got ALEXANDER for my next title challenge. But maybe he and Tarkhan want to take their shot at Honda and Wrecker first. And if that's the case, then sometime on this tour, come meet me in the Preliminary Main Event, I'll even be good enough to put the Victorious Medal on the line...Shima Ito. Machine: <You have been a problem for me for too long! You want to test the strength of the Super Grey Machine? Then that is what you will get! But not on the end of the tour! That is where your match with ALEXANDER is scheduled! But at Lariats and Legislators #10, I will show you the consequences for your insolence! There, I will end your tiresome run with the title in the opening match! I am sick of booking that! And when I do that, it will be I who defends against ALEXANDER!> GPC: Wait, man. Maybe my Japanese isn't perfect. But did you say something about being tired of how you book me? Because if that's the case, you're totally Shima Ito, you know, the Chairman who's in charge of booking around here. But I don't give a damn who you are. Whoever you are, you've pissed me off enough that I'm gonna make sure I don't just beat you, but I beat you down. And the best part is, you're gonna know that you took an *L* from the King of the Openers, in the opening match when it happens. So get ready to chew on that, Ito.

An announcement. *We fade into a posh hotel suite in New York City around 11 PM. A camera is focused on a flat screen television that is playing the promos following "Lightning Road '20: The Beginning"
Senator Steve Phillips: Irony of ironies, after all the losses I accumulated as of late, I earn one of the most significant in-ring accomplishments of the latter portion of my career, and yet, I cannot remember anything that happened following my head hitting the mat from one of Ms.
*The television turns off and the camera turns to a large leather chair. It's a fine chair, really, of a high quality that one would expect from such an expensive hotel. But this isn't DDT - Senator isn't wrestling a chair as part of his retirement tour. So let's focus on the occupant of the chair:
Geese Walker.
He drinks from a tumbler of what looks to be bourbon and smirks at the camera.*
[Geese:] "Behold - the rare politician that speaks the truth. Senator Phillips, fans around the world are currently nodding that you have kept your promise. After all, I am not known to disappoint.
However, some of you may be confused. 'Geese,' you might ask - as if you'd ever be on a first name basis with me, 'aren't you concussed and riddled with explosive amnesia?' The concussion has subsided and the amnesia is selective. That means there is still data in my mind's hard drive that has not been corrupted. That much should have been made clear to even an invalid due to my continued presence in the lives of my friends."
*Geese raises his tumbler.*
[Geese:] "I've found that strong drink helps retrieve my pre-amnesiac personality, for better or worse. It also brings some of the memories to the forefront of my mind. That is why I'm lucid enough to realize that this Senator is not the one advocating for Dodd-Frank and interfering with the profits I am currently making on Wall Street."
*We hear a sigh off camera which we can safely presume comes from Robin Walker.*
[Geese:] "This is all a circuitous way to state that I remember Steve Phillips.
However, the more salient fact is that I respect him. So when he requested that I become the next competitor on his Retirement Tour, I shook his hand and thanked him for the honor without hesitation. That is because as much as you think you know about the good he has done for this industry, I have an even more complete picture. I've witnessed Steve passionately advocate for the best interests of every wrestler and promotion in this alliance that we all have together. I've witnessed Steve help the FPCPP get off the ground with his grass roots campaign of support.
Despite the fact we never before had the opportunity to have a marquee match together, I have wrestled him on numerous occasions. So I have experienced firsthand the encyclopedic knowledge of holds and suplexes that he possesses as well as the fighting spirit that he showed recently against Brigitte Larson.
It is fortuitous that this tour is named Lightning Road. My career in Japan is marked by my alter ego as Bolt. He showed up most recently in what everyone thought was my retirement match back in 2011. Clearly, that retirement match was premature and my hand was forced, which is why it didn't stick. However, if I had been able to correctly plan my retirement, Steve Phillips would have been on my short list of opponents to face for the final time. Having the chance to wrestle him once more, on a deserved grand stage, will fulfill me on a personal level beyond what many can understand."
*Geese takes another sip of bourbon and smiles.*
[Geese:] "And having the chance to beat him will add to my professional legacy. For those of you who remember a certain speech I made two years ago about 'thresholds', I'm not in this match for the respect of the crowd. If I hear one fan start braying 'You deserve it' to either of us, I'll march up to the bleachers and silence him. Phillips chose me cause he wanted to give his all in a war. He doesn't want a retirement party in a banquet hall, he wants to go out on the strongest possible terms. And that means resistance, pain, and uncertainty. That means chaos so that means me.
With all due...something, to Furis, I'm the real monster you don't want to invite in. I fight to dominate, I fight to win, I fight to be the best. And I know you do too, Steve. That's why I won't pull my punches or give up any ground to you. I respect you and your abilities too much to let you walk away unscathed. So let's drown out the infantile, self-promoting clapping of the crowd with the snapping of our submissions. Let's show everyone what real competition means to honor both of our career and legacies, and this sport that we both love."
*Geese smiles and is about to take one more sip from the tumbler but suddenly puts it down.*
[Geese:] "Oh, and try not to raise the capital gains tax before the next fiscal quarter."
*Robin Walker's voice is heard saying "ok, you had your fun" and the camera is turned off.*

With the Senatorial Retirement Tour making a stop in Philadelphia at the PEWA, it was stated that Senator Steve Phillips was going to take on Mina Fitsharris in the main event, when this exchange was recorded in Biff Taylor's office. Biff Taylor: Hey, big little man, what's up? Tomas the Tiny Giant: the tiny giant is feeling things that are not understanded by tomas because tomas wonders why tomas was not picked for the fight for the end of the career of the man of politics. Biff: Let me get this straight, Tomas, you wanted in that match? Tomas: tomas does not understand why this is not understood BECAUSE IT SHOULD BE UNDERSTOOD! Biff: Nah, I got you here. Really, this is easy. Was gonna give you a warmup match for your Lariats bout with that idiot Young Blood, but hey, why not throw you in the mix! Senator Phillips might not be entirely happy, but hey, we don't care, you're in the match, big little man! Tomas: I AM HAPPY ENOUGH NOW TO SMASH THE BULBS OF LIGHT! Biff: Not in my damn office, you ain't doin...wait...no! Not my lights! Stop it! Aw, damn! Get back here! Aw, now I gotta get someone to clean that up... --- PEWA: Term Limits8:00 PM CT on Friday, January 31st at the Halcyon Ballroom in Philadelphia, PA Main Event: Senatorial Retirement Tour Senator Steve Phillips vs. Tomas the Tiny Giant vs. Mina FitsharrisThanks to the intervention of Tomas, the Tiny Giant will now take part in an intriguging triple threat. Certainly, Senator Phillips will have his hands full with the PEWA #1 contender and the always-aggressive Mina Fitsharris, and should be looking as much to survive as to win this one. Sylvain "Pay Day" Mint vs. Luke PowersA de facto title eliminator, with the returning Sylvain Mint having asked for a chance to earn a shot at the PEWA Extreme title, and the Powerhouse, Luke Powers never far from the belt he has held for a large part of the PEWA's existence. Mint will have to be on top of his game to stand a chance here, with a motivated Powers looking for revenge against Young Blood following the conclusion of PEWA 20. Highway Outlaw Wrestling vs. PEWA Texas Rose vs. Juliette ErvingSouth Dakota's Highway Outlaw Wrestling will mix in with the PEWA more in the following months, and this bout will absolutely kick off the full partnership, with the Throwdown Pinup going up against one of the PEWA's perennial fixtures. Pizza Bread(Kenny Bread(Port City Pro) and Masked Maniac IV) vs. Monochrome(Yamikuro and Opaque)Port City Pro's underdog phenom and the PEWA's Maniac IV have formed an absurdly popular team as of late, and will look to score an upset over Monochrome, but the duo toned team could well be looking to raise their own status here. For the Sake of Public Heatlth and Safety Dr. Trace Gibson vs. Bath Salts ZombieUpon his return to the PEWA, Dr. Gibson scored a tremendous victory at PEWA 20 in a battle royale, eliminating the legendary Josh Belmonte to do so. However, he has claimed that his real work is ahead of him, noting that the Bath Salts Zombie will be his first example of a crusade for better personal lifestyles in the PEWA. The Bingo Hall Mutants(Rampage Rage and Skullface Killah) vs. PEWA's Most Hated(Jeffery Janson and "Party Animal" Jeremy Wylde)The opening match will revisit the darkest years of PEWA history, as Janson and Wylde return after being violently exiled by a group led by the Mutants Should the unpopular duo return with a win, they could well be seeking a shot at the Wild Women and their tag titles, but a win by the Bingos might perhaps keep them far from a fully successful return. --- Senator Steve Phillips: So, our match now includes the Tiny Giant, does it not? Mina Fitsharris: Yeah, can't say I'm entirely happy with that skinny green psycho jumping into our match, but whatever, I'll live with it if you can. Senator: On the contrary, I am not displeased in the slightest. Tomas is most deserving of this match, and truth be told, with my decision once keeping him from the Office Top Ranking, and with his prior actions while joining the Harbinger invasion, I believe this is a proper chance to finally close out some old issues. Mina: You know I'm still not going to hold back. Senator: And if you did, I would take full advantage. No, wrestling is a sport that must always be approached in full effort. Do not hold back in the slightest, for I shall not do so myself. Mina: Yeah, before I go pick up the kids here, just wanted to say I'm happy you got that match with Geese. Should be a good one...if you can still go by then. Senator: Well, seeing that we are being recorded here in my office for the production videos, I might as well make this my official statement. Mr. Walker, it is my privilege and honor to face you in what will be the final match of my career. And yet is the door closes on my own time in the ring, you will be making your own grand return between the ropes. It is the endless cycle of the sport. You and I have known each other for quite some time. Longer than I have known practically anyone else in this industry. It is the highest compliment that I have to offer in stating that through that duration, in all the people I have faced, all the individuals I have encountered, all those I have employed, there has always been one constant emblem of excellence for all to measure up to. And that would be you, Mr. Walker. What better match for my last than to test myself one last time against the standard, himself? I look forward to our final confrontation, and that, old friend, is nothing...but the truth. --- Rampage Rage: Man, now ain't this some fine bullshit! Wylde and Janson, those two trashheads are back! And now it's our job again to put them back out in the dumpster where they belong! Skullface Killah: We're gonna kill them dead! Deader than dead this time! Rampage: You two almost killed my company, my home, my family here in the Halcyon! You tried to take the PEWA and make it like all the boring indy feds all around! Screw that, we're not Professional Pro Wrestling! We do things our way around here, and we're gonna kick your pathetic asses, our way! We're goin' to break you both and then we're gonna... Skullface: We're gonna grill! And you ain't invited! Rampage: Yeah, you ain't invited! --- "Party Animal" Jeremy Wylde: Hey, hey, hey, look where we're at here, back in old, cold Philly! Jeffery Janson: It's ugly. Jeremy Wylde: And you know what else is u-g-l-y? Janson: The Bingo Hall Mutants. They're repulsive. Wylde: That's damn right! Those two ugly mofos wanna play gatekeeper and kick us back out. But you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube once it's out, and we're the toothpaste, squeezed right out, baby! Janson: That...was not a good analogy. Wylde: Now why you have to get all buzzkill on me, man? Janson: I'm finishing this. Bingo Hall Mutants, PEWA, you might not want us here. But we're here, whether you like it or not. And soon, you're all going to have to admit, you just can't get enough of us. We were the best thing you ever saw around here. And we're going to prove that just like cream rises to the top... Wylde: That we're lookin' good and livin' the real life! You can either join the party, or get left behind, bitches!

A good show for the PEWA, with three standout matches and some impressive results in the other matches. RESULTS PEWA: Term Limits 8:00 PM CT on Friday, January 31st at the Halcyon Ballroom in Philadelphia, PA Bonus Match Kengo Tamura vs. Zanca with The Cremator Surely, PEWA's legal advice was to let Zanca and the Cremator to return to the independents following PEWA 20. And yet, they were back in this bonus match, as Zanca represented the Ritual of the Flame against the Ronin from Yokohama, Kengo Tamura. Zanca's full speed ahead style served him well, taking a bit of a beating, but still managing to land a cutter for the win. Zanca could perhaps be seen as a darkhorse in the PEWA Extreme title scene following this one. Main Event: Senatorial Retirement Tour Senator Steve Phillips vs. Tomas the Tiny Giant vs. Mina Fitsharris A vintage strategical approach by the Senator won the day here, despite a notable cut opened up practically from the bell and a Ball Peen Hammer from Tomas dumping him over the ropes. Phillips pitted Mina and Tomas against each other as much as possible, hitting Filibusters when he saw fit, and let Tomas eliminate Fitsharris with a quick chokeslam. From there, Tomas was clearly the more dangerous threat, surviving multiple Victory Lock II applications and landing the bigger moves, including a chokeslam off the apron to the floor...but without the wind to capitalize, was unable to seal the deal. And as such, the Senator held on, and held on long enough to catch the Tiny Giant with a flying triangle choke for the shocking submission win. Sylvain "Pay Day" Mint vs. Luke Powers Some might blame a bit of rust, but most would agree that Luke Powers demonstrated the gulf in class between himself and Sylvain Mint as he rampaged through this match without a care, hitting a Powers Bomb and stealing the Mint Magnum pumphandle Michinoku Drive II to gain one of the easiest victories of his career and making his case for a shot at the winner of Tomas-Young Blood. Highway Outlaw Wrestling vs. PEWA Texas Rose vs. Juliette Erving A match far better received by the audience than by Digital Dave Doolittle, with Texas Rose providing an outstanding challenge to Juliette Erving, going move for move with her high profile foe, landing kick after kick, running her out with repeated leapfrogs and enduring Juliette's inevitable liplocks. However, as well as Rose fought, it was not enough to overcome Juliette's late match serious mode, as she landed the no-nonsense cobra clutch legsweep to win the match. Pizza Bread(Kenny Bread(Port City Pro) and Masked Maniac IV) vs. Monochrome(Yamikuro and Opaque) Pizza Bread were not supposed to win this match. A deep gulf in skill and ability separated the two teams. But perhaps the one x-factor here was the deciding factor: heart. And MMIV and Kenny Bread showed that in spades, surviving long enough for Bread to catch Yamikuro with a diving senton for the astounding upset victory. For the Sake of Public Health and Safety Dr. Trace Gibson vs. Bath Salts Zombie One of the better contests of the night, despite the extreme stylistic differences between the Doctor and the Zombie, with Bath Salts quickly extracting blood, but Trace Gibson played the long game, enduring the BSZ's onslaught while he methodically broke down his limbs, eventually leading to an armlock half crab that led to a submission win. The Bingo Hall Mutants(Rampage Rage and Skullface Killah) vs. PEWA's Most Hated(Jeffery Janson and "Party Animal" Jeremy Wylde) A comfortable win for the Mutants, with their size, cohesion and aggression proving too much for Wylde and Janson, with Rampage pinning Wylde after a well timed powerbomb. --- Match of the Night: Texas Rose vs. Juliette Erving -While the main event triple threat and Gibson vs. Zombie were both quality bouts, Rose vs. Erving delivered directly on its promise with an exciting fight from bell to bell. Performer of the Night: Luke Powers -While the Senator's win was deservedly eligible for this, Luke Powers was so dominant against a legitimate opponent in Sylvain Mint that it would be hard to make a case against him. --- Luke Powers: You see that, Young Blood? You might be mad and bad, but I'm the right kinda crazy to put you down for good! That's the pride of a champion right there! You get past Tomas, that's what's comin' for you! And Tiny Giant, don't think you're off the hook, either! I remember you beating me with your pointy ass knee to my face, embarrassed me good with that. Either one of you jokers gonna have a tough time holding onto my belt! It's like Jack Fury told me, you never know how long you got at this game, and you never, ever take it for granted that you're gettin' another chance at the top. So when you get that shot, you make the best of it. I know no matter what, no matter how many years I held that belt before, I'm not taking this for granted. So Biff, you give me that shot as soon as you can, because I ain't wasting time at this, not one minute of it.

This was a really fun show, glad to see Sen starting to string together a couple wins. I'm also really enjoying Luke Powers getting his feet back under him for a push at the title. But seriously, the performance of the night should have gone to the peoples champion, Pizza Bread. If this isn't setting the table for a big Kenny Bread push I dont know what will...

The TIPWF puts on another stacked card for this Friday, with two title matches, a Senatorial Retirement Tour stop, top notch guests and much more! TIPWF: The Senator Rides Away8:00 PM (CT) on Friday, February 7th at the Stockade in Amarillo, TX Main Event: Senator Steve Phillips Retirement Tour Senator Steve Phillips vs. Lil' Lariato vs. Silver Hawk(Wrestle Parade)Taking on not just the TIPWF Lone Star Champion, but one of the most popular wrestlers in the entire Critical Alliance, Senator Steve Phillips has his work cut out for him in this match. With the heavy strikes and explosiveness of Lariato, the high flying and skills of Silver Hawk and the toughness and technicality of Phillips, whoever wins this match can stand in pride. Cowboy Johnston Return Match Cowboy Johnston with Hailey Comet vs. Misterio GuerreroReturning from their honeymoon, Johnston and Comet will have a hero's welcome with the Cowboy taking on the Mystery Warrior with Hailey at ringside. Johnston could well be viewing this match as a tune-up, but Guerrero cannot be overlooked, his top notch mix of power and agility keeping him competitive against anyone. Baron Family vs. Cogburn Ranch The Baron Family(Vic Baron and Austin Baron)(Warrior Pro) vs. Cogburn Ranch(Duke Cogburn and Generalissimo Kool Q)As Vic Baron now sits on top of the Warrior Pro world with his astounding victory over Lobo Muerte for the WPW Heavyweight title, it only seems fair that he finds the time elsewhere to return to his family team with his father, Austin. Looking to spoil the Baron's guest spot are the Cogburn Ranch team of family patriarch Duke Cogburn and the debuting underground hip hop legend, Generalissimo Kool Q, with the two striking up an unlikely friendship over their shared link to TIPWF Lone Star champion, Lil' Lariato. Lutadora Festiva vs. La Axolotl with Carolina Anole(OASIS)A natural rivalry has been stirring between the two luchadoras with their respective training in the Thiago Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu camp. Carolina Anole will support her fellow LSA teammate at ringside, in a match that could easily steal the show. TIPWF Old Guard Championship Bout Newfie George(ZIP Japan)(C) vs. Gunny Lee HartThe Gunny earned this shot after giving a definitive lesson in the ring to the Rodeo Angel, while George retained against fellow ZIP veteran, Wataru Nakajima. Newfie's power has served him well in the Old Guard division, but Hart's efficient matwork will provide a new challenge for the vagrant fisherman. TTPWF Lone Star Trios Championship Bout The Roland Chang Trio(Roland Chang Sr, Roland Chang Jr and Roland Chang III)(C) vs. The Exotico World Order(Vice Versa, Valentina Verda and Martina Martinez)Make no mistake; the Roland Changs and the EWO will not let things go when it comes to the Lone Star Trios belts. With the motor mouth of Chang Junior and the provocative ways of Verda manifesting themselves at Cowboy Johnston's wedding party, these teams are once again on a collision course, with the gold on the line. --- Senator Steve Phillips: Some say my opponents are the future of the industry. These pundits may well be correct. Mr. Lariato and Mr. Hawk are young, dynamic athletes who have all that it takes to become the biggest names in professional wrestling. But where the talking heads get this wrong, is that they discount what these two are accomplishing right now in the present day. Silver Hawk is perhaps the single most popular performer around, putting on spectacular matches every time he steps inside the ropes. Lil' Lariato is a dual threat star, an accomplished musical artist and the current TIPWF Lone Star champion. To call these two the future is to miss the forest for the trees, for they are indeed the cornerstones of today as much as they will ever be. Senator: I must briefly mention that while my Retirement Tour has been...underwhelming, in terms of my record, those who said I could no longer win a match, or that I was merely allowing my foes the victory can kindly eat crow at this point. I will count my win over the fearsome Brigitte Larsson as an accomplishment as strong as any I have achieved, and beating both Mrs. Fitsharris and Tomas demonstrated that I can yet hold my own against the odds. Senator: And as such, let me issue this statement: Lil' Lariato, Silver Hawk, I have the utmost repect for each of you, but should you believe me to nothing but an easy obstacle to overcome in your haste to face each other, you forget that you yet face the newsmaker, headline breaker, office taker, world shaker, the roughest, toughest, most intelligent son of a gun ever to step inside the squared circle, you do battle with the one and only Senator Steve Phillips, and that, my friends, is nothing...but the truth. --- Lil' Lariato: I got mad respect for the Senator, and I can't wait to finally get a match with Silver Hawk, but you know what, I think I'm just as excited for your match. Duke Cogburn: Vic and Austin are two men to be feared. They've proven that many times. But sometimes, you just have to stand tall in the saddle and ride ahead. Isn't that right? Generalissimo Kool Q: That's no joke. First time doing this, and you got me in with a champ. Ain't done it any other way, though. Back in Brooklyn, I didn't back down from nobody, no matter what. Back then, though, I was a funky fresh kid, thought I could take down anyone, words, fists, don't matter, I'd show those old bucks a lesson. Duke: Now you're one of them. But folks like us, we don't let that stop us, do we? Hair goes grey, or goes away... Lariato: Sorry, just have to say it. All due respect, but Generalissimo Kool Q became Generalissimo Pool Q. Kool Q: Not cool, young guns, that ain't cool at all. Duke: Don't laugh, Lariato, you'll get old too. Lariato: And I'll still be rippin' heads off and controllin' the microphone. Just like you're still putting them to sleep, and Q's still spittin' the verses. Fightin' you comes with the price that's too steep, it's a real cost, not some made up curses. Kool Q: Sucka's might try, but they always come short, we'll make their lady's cry, wreck them worse than divorce court! Duke: You two just can't help yourselves. Can't say I get it, but I can respect it. Well, in any case, I'm going to go listen to some Marty Robbins, clear some brush. Kool Q: And when the time comes, hit 'em with the cold crush. Lariato: Senator, Hawk, don't hesitate, walk the walk, For you and me, it's our fate, no more talk Last time in town for Steve, first time for Silver But everybody's gotta believe, we're all gonna deliver. --- Cowboy Johnston: Ah gotta say it feels good ta' be back in Amarillo, back home! Hailey Comet: It's great, ain't it? Cowboy: Now, we got a lil' sumthin' to say here, don't we? Hailey: Right as rain we do! Cowboy: Yer the one ta' say it, Hailey! Hailey: No need to dillydally...I'm pregnant! Cowboy: And ah couldn't be happier! Hailey: But that means I cain't wrassle... Cowboy: Aw, Hailey, not the sad face! Yer too cute when you pout, though. Hailey: Gonna miss it, but don't y'all worry, I'll be back flyin' 'round in there sooner than y'all can blink! But for now, just gonna watch my man from ringside! Cowboy: An' that's enough fer me to feel strong enough ta run through a brick wall! Or Misterio! Hailey: Let's not run through any walls, ok, honey? Cowboy: Nah, ah don't think that's a good idea...

RESULTS TIPWF: The Senator Rides Away 8:00 PM (CT) on Friday, February 7th at the Stockade in Amarillo, TX Bonus Match The Everyman vs. Jimmy Jack Walker An entertaining bonus match followed the main event, with Jimmy Jack Walker in typical form, amusing the crowd with his Drunken Style of Redneck-Fu, and winning with a Hangover Cutter from the top rope. Main Event: Senator Steve Phillips Retirement Tour Senator Steve Phillips vs. Lil' Lariato vs. Silver Hawk(Wrestle Parade) This match moved a mile a minute in the early going, all three men keeping up a relentless pace. Lariato was the first one eliminated by the Senator's classic Victory Lock II, and it would not be too much longer after that when he and and Silver Hawk would enter into a series of counters and counters to the counters, with the Hawk eventually rolling Phillips up for the three count to take a well deserved win. Cowboy Johnston Return Match Cowboy Johnston with Hailey Comet vs. Misterio Guerrero As this was Johnston's first match back following his marriage and honeymoon trip around the world, many expected a bit of ring rust. Instead, the Cowboy started the match off by blasting Misterio Guerrero with heavy slams and powerbombs, looking to put things away quickly, and perhaps, to impress the mother of his unborn child at ringside. Guerrero was on the verge of a blowout defeat when he drew upon his mighty powers of the Warrior, hitting a Warrior Splash in retaliation, and then turned the tables, putting Johnston on his back foot, countering a Western Lariat and gaining near falls from another splash and a signature high impact shoulder block. The two brawled outside of the ring, where Johnston once again reclaimed the momentum, landing the Amarillo Sunset, doing so for a near fall once again in the ring before another attempt at the Western Lariat came through, earning the win. Baron Family vs. Cogburn Ranch The Baron Family(Vic Baron and Austin Baron)(Warrior Pro) vs. Cogburn Ranch(Duke Cogburn and Generalissimo Kool Q) An impressive first time showing in the professional wrestling ring for Kool Q, who held his own, as did his veteran teammate, Duke Cogburn, but while the two Cogburn Ranch representatives turned back the clock and put on a respectable fight, it was not enough to overcome the skill and ability of two of Warrior Pro's very best, with Austin Baron demonstrating a return to form following a medical suspension and current champ, Vic sealing the deal with a double arm facebuster into his trademark crossface submission. Lutadora Festiva vs. La Axolotl with Carolina Anole(OASIS) A remarkably competitive bout between the two trainees of Thiago Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, with the luchadoras as evenly matched as it gets. If anything made the difference down the stretch, it was Lutadora's increasing confidence, shown by her constant dancing, and a big side slam led to the traditional Thiago style Victory by Armbar. TIPWF Old Guard Championship Bout Newfie George(ZIP Japan)(C) vs. Gunny Lee Hart Gunny Lee Hart gave the Newfoundland fisherman one of the toughest challenges of his reign in this Old Guard championship bout, trading powerful chops and even going as far as to do his push ups after a series of them. Newfie George's top level toughness remained, though, and after a vertical fisherman buster, the ZIP veteran was able to gain the win. Also of note, Stanford Bradley stood at ringside for the Gunny, but uncharacteristically made no attempt to insert himself into the match, likely following strict orders from the old military man. The Battle of the Bosses Walt Callahan vs. Jedidiah Faulkner(Independent) One wonders if both Callahan and Faukner shop at the same stores...but in any case, this match was a late addition to the card, and was a classic western style brawl, with neither man ceding any space in the ring. A thunderous powerbomb from Faulkner nearly scored the victory, prompting Callahan to bust out the brass knuckles for his Magnum Force punch, allowing the TIPWF Commissioner to walk away with the win. TTPWF Lone Star Trios Championship Bout The Roland Chang Trio(Roland Chang Sr, Roland Chang Jr and Roland Chang III)(C) vs. The Exotico World Order(Vice Versa, Valentina Verda and Martina Martinez) An exciting, back and forth bout that seemed to be going the way of the Exoticos, with Verda having neutralized Chang III with a particularly rough flash pin, and the Changs remaining on the defense. However, Roland Junior's tenacity, experience and, well, willingness to bend the rules came in handy, hitting his rival, Verda with a cheap shot to score a quick pin and retain the trios belts. --- Match of the Night: Cowboy Johnston vs. Misterio Guerrero -This was an easy pick, despite some other good matches, including the Cogburn Ranch vs. Baron Family and Festiva vs. Axolotl bouts. But this one could perhaps be an early Match of the Year contender, with a startling pace and a plethora of close calls, counters and intense moves. Performer of the Night: Roland Chang Jr. -While Cowboy Johnston came close to winning this honor, and were this open to outsiders, Silver Hawk would be flying away with it, but within the Office, Chang Jr. singlehandedly carried his team to victory with his grit and guile, and walks away with the PotN award along with a third of the Trios belts. --- Cowboy Johnston: Ah told you all that ah'm back! Now then, Lariato, yah gotta take care of yer business with Doc, an' when that's done an' over with, jist remember, we still got a match for that there belt! So don't yah mess this up, 'cause ah ain't lookin' fer any match but that one you an' I got lined up, yah got that? Good! --- The scene in the Roland Chang locker room was jubilant following their victory, with Chang Jr. hoisting a bottle of champagne, while his father and son each stuck to a simpler bottle of beer. Roland Chang Junior: We did it, we beat those pink wearing bastard bitches from bell to bell! And we kept these belts right where they belong! Around our waists, in our locker room, damnit, we're the champs, yeaaaaaaah! Roland Chang III: Sorry I tweaked my neck. Roland Chang Senior: All's well that ends well, kid. We won, and that is in the end, what matters most. You played your part, as did I. Chang Junior: But I played the biggest part of all, because I can't stand any of those trashbums, hey Valentina Verda, where's your belt? Around my waist! Can't take that now! Valentina Verda is in the scrap heap, burning on the burn pile, that's where you put trash! Chang Senior: I'm no fan of the Exotico World Order, either, but son, you might want to look forward now. Chang Junior: Hah! This is why I worked hard, this is why we won! So we can rub it in the face of the people we beat! That's the best part of winning! Especially when we win against Valentina Verda! ???: Ooooh, you called, honey? Chang Senior: I warned you son... Chang Junior: Verda, what in sweet hellfire are you doing in my locker room? Valentina Verda: Oh, I just wanted to congratulate you for your big, beautiful win. And maybe I could hear you shouting my name from all the way down the hallway, but I just wanted to congratulate you again. Chang Junior: Alright, you did that, now move along! Verda: I don't know, I hear you shouting my name, I think you're calling me, isn't that right? Were you calling me in here? Chang Senior: Son, do not... Chang Junior: Alright, that's enough! You got your rematch, this was it! You lost! Now go away! Verda: Maybe I just want you all by your lonesome self next time, just you and me in a singles match. Chang Junior: You want it, you got it! But you want that, we're doing this in a Frontier Barbed Wire Deathmatch! So I can rip you to pieces and tear you to shreds! And then you aren't going to want any more of this, you got that? Verda: Hehe, I got that, be seeing you around! Chang III: Dad...you gotta stop letting them working you like that. Chang Senior: Kid, trust me, if he has not learned by now...

After the show Jed Faulkner has a message for Walt Callahan
"Walt I think you need to see some real wrestling, where cheap tricks aren't needed to win a match. So why don't you come on up to Indianapolis this Sunday for the first MWWWC house show recording, and see the home town hero The Mallard take on My son Steve, in the city he first made his name. We also have Caesar's Empire taking on underdog crowd favorite Pizza Bread, and we will be showcasing some of the other MWWC talent. And for those you who can't make it live the recording will go up free later in the week."

Aroo Classic Aftermath (Warning: Spoilers) Having defeated Phoenix Rising's Todd Colton to win the 2020 Aroo Classic tournament, the Texas Independent Pro Wrestling Federation's Valentina Verda took to the microphone.
Valentina Verda: I'm...I'm...just a little...breathless...I mean...Todd Colton took my breath away! I just want to thank...
And at that moment, a stocky figure wearing a black t-shirt, jeans, cowboy boots, and most notably, a paper bag over his head, clobbered Valentina with a chair, and picked up the microphone afterwards, leaning over the tournament winner as he removed the bag, revealing his identity to be...
Roland Chang Junior: Yeah, that's right! You invaded my territory, made me look like a damn blasted fool in my own locker room in front of my own family and the world right when I should have been rightfully celebrating my own team's win! Now I'm turning the tables on you, and I'm ruining your big moment, you rainbow jumpsuit wearing, pin stealing, sloppy kissing, fancy prancing fool! You and your flipflappin EWO been in my business for far too long! But now we're even! You hear me? We're even, now! That means, when we meet between the barbed wire, we're, wait, what's that?
Valentina Verda slowly rolled over, muttering something unintelligible to Chang, and as the roughneck leaned down, Verda suddenly popped up, catching him in an inside cradle, pinning his shoulders to the mat for what would have been a three count, and when the two disengaged, Verda now stood with the microphone, on somewhat wobbly legs.
Valentina: One, two, three. That's all that's going to matter...unless you want some of what Todd got. Adios, mi amor, Roland Chang.
And with that, Verda dropped down and rolled under the ropes, leaving a seething Roland Chang in the ring, slamming his fist into the ropes.
