AEW isn't really that ridiculous, would be odd considering that they don't actually have a working relationship with NJPW, but isn't Kenny also friends with the director? Them being able to license guys like the Young Bucks and Cody would be awesome. It’s Japanese game developer with connections to Japanese wrestling promotions so it might be dependant on the logistics of getting certain people together or whatever is needed. Also they do have fans in Japan so they might want to see something other than just gaijin? |

Does spike have a exclusive deal with New Japan or are they free to add other companies? I’m not expecting All Japan or Noah or AEW but if they talking to another organization it could be a smaller company in Japan. Zero One? Dragon Gate?

You guys do know that aew is tryimg to get the old no mercy guys to work on a new aew game and updated the old engine (or something completely new) think they where called aki. It all over twitter so it a lomg shot aew is coming to fire pro

Sure, Spike is going to spend even more money on this game by making a deal with a fledgling Western wrestling company that hasn't even been around for half a year. Meanwhile, it has a set of wrestlers from local (Japanese) promotions that it has already done promotional events with; as well as some of those wrestlers having a history with the franchise and various members of the Fire Pro team. And it's target audience is still Japan, so one would think that local talent is going to be the focus. Kenny is not friends with the director, he doesn't even care about Fire Pro. When he played it at CEO, it was clear that he was a complete beginner and outside of the required advertising he did under the NJPW deal he hasn't promoted the game at all. So I'm not sure why people think that AEW is coming to this niche Japanese wrestling game, especially after Spike already made a deal with the largest Japanese wrestling promotion and is close to providing the last advertised DLC release. |
